Chapter 51 - Meeting Someone Familiar.

Meeting Someone Familiar.

Abby's POV.

Four years later*****

"Fuck it Jayden!! What have you been doing inside the bathroom since five AM?" I bellowed angrily as I made breakfast.

He has always been this way since he started schooling. One morning gets an issue or the other.

"Mom???? Mom, I can't get a hold of my toothbrush!! Please, come help me out!" He screamed from the bathroom, making me wonder if he was okay.

He was my only source of Joy and I just couldn't leave him all alone in the bathroom to die with his toothbrush.

"Aaagggghhh this boy keeps frustrating my life!! Why can't he just do things on his own?" I grumbled as I paused for a second.

"Mom??" He called out anxiously.

"I'm on my way, silly head! You just act like your father!" I responded as I thought about Alex.

Although Alex was rude to others, he never ever failed to miss a step in whatever he does.

He was also as clumsy as his son ,Jayden.

I opened the bathroom door only for me to see Jayden struggling with the toothpaste device that was fixed to the wall.

He was supposed to put it in there and take it out , immediately the paste was dropped on his brush but instead, he delayed and it got stuck. Now I have to act as an engineer so early in the morning.l

"What the fuck is wrong with you Jayden? Why do you have to be this slow? You are three years and counting and yet…" I hissed as I hit my forehead gently.

"I'm sorry mom….. I didn't mean to make you upset with me mom. I was just trying to…. I was just trying to please you this time!" He stuttered as he tried maintaining his voice.

I paused for a second as I saw how innocent he looked while he apologised to me so dearly.

"You know what, it's fine. Let's just forget that this ever happened okay? Go take your bath while I fix this!" I urged and as he went into the bathtub, I tried taking the brush out of the device.

I was still trying my best to get it out ,and the moment it left its hook, Jayden began to sob again.

"Fuck!!" I grumbled as I knew more jobs were coming for me.

I walked into the bathtub and seeing him cry because of how cold the water was made me giggle.

He was truly a cute one as he wept like Alex.

"Mom, it's too cold!!" He said as he sobbed silently.

I immediately pressed the hot button and without hesitation, I helped bath him myself knowing that if I had to leave him to himself again, he would end up misbehaving.

Soon, he was all set and ready to leave for school and so was I too.

I grabbed his back pack which was already set by me and his lunch in his box.

"Come on honey, let's get out of here okay?" I chuckled as I made him lead the way to the car.

It's been the happiest Four years of my life. Jayden has been my source of Joy and I just can't help but treat him right.

Jack had visited the house regularly to see Jayden too but I couldn't let that happen. I didn't want to keep his hopes high, knowing that Alex was the owner of my son and not him.

It was best to keep hiding Jayden and make him grow into what he wishes to be than making him think that Jack was his father.

I watched him climb into my car and of course, it made me smile. Although he was difficult sometimes but as the saying goes , you don't really get the good times as you wish.

"Mom!!! Hurry up, we will be late if we wait any longer!" He called out as he seemed so excited to leave for school.

My job has been treating me well since I had a friend as the owner of the company.

I went over to my car and the minute I stepped into it, I zoomed off , heading to his school.

"There you go!" I parked my car by the left side of the school gate as I opened the door for my son to climb out of it.

"Thanks mom!! I love you mom!" He confessed as he blew a kiss towards my direction which made me smile.

"Don't forget your lunch box dear. I love you too Jayden Alex…." I called in full as I watched him dance into his school vicinity.

"Stubborn ass!" I chuckled at the sight of his happy expression.

I was totally lost in my thoughts about my son that I didn't realise how late it was.

"Shit!!" I exclaimed as I started my car engines and was about to drive out of sight.

The minute I placed my hand on the steering and was going to turn around to leave the school, I paused in amazement.

I saw a man in his early thirties walking towards the coffee store that was opposite my son's school.

I tilted my head In confusion as I just couldn't place my hand on who he really was.

He looked like one person to me, he looked like a man I once knew and loved so much.

"Alex??" I whispered as I wished to open the door and run after him.

I was going to see for myself to be sure if he was the one but unfortunately, my phone rang out.

"Who the fuck?" I picked up the call immediately without waiting to hear the sound of the ringing phone.

"What?" I asked rudely which was unlike me.

"It's the boss Abby, he's in search of you and the earlier you get to work the better!" Amy announced with a low voice.

At this point, I just couldn't risk my job because of someone I wasn't certain about.

I couldn't go into the coffee store because of a stranger.

I shut the car door and without thinking twice, I zoomed out of sight.

"I can't lose my job twice because of men!" I asserted as I increased the speed limit of my car.
