Meeting You Has Always Been My Dream.
Alex's POV.
"Wake up King, it's time to go see Abby, it's time to go get Abby!" I announced, standing before his bed with my hands on my wrist button as I dressed for her sake.
I was prepared to leave the house in a red suit and a black shiny shoe to go with it. I had to look good and clean if I wanted her to recognize and accept me back as her lover.
It won't be that easy though but I wasn't going to sit and fold my hands.
Besides, she wasn't aware that I was a billionaire when we were together so telling her now will surely make her want me more.
I giggled as I thought about all the ways to get her heart running back to me again. I was still engrossed in my imagination about meeting , hugging and getting married to Abby when suddenly , king spoiled my mind with his silly assumptions.
"You know she is married and with a child right?" He blurted out as he must have probably sat on the bed, watching me giggle to myself.
"And who cares about that? It's not like she can't divorce him because of me or something!?" I said with doubt filling my heart about her marriage.
I was sure that Abby wasn't married , I didn't know why I felt that way though but my instincts were just so strong that she was a single lady.
"Just stand up and get dressed so we can leave before mom starts with the nagging about getting Married again!" I grumbled, rolling my eyes in annoyance.
I disliked the thought of that and I just didn't want to experience such. Getting married to someone I don't love was so suffocating to think about.
King obeyed me and stood to his feet as he ran off to go take a quick shower before we leave for Abby's office.
King helped in searching for her place of work the day before and it was surely going to be easy locating her.
Soon, King was done with his shower and without hesitation, he got dressed in his black suit.
He paused for a second looking at me from my head down to my toe and I couldn't help but ask what he wanted from me.
"Do I owe you an apology for dressing this cute?" I taunted with a chuckle as I joked about it.
"Not that but…. It's been a while you wore your Red suit boss. Are you sure you really want to wear it to go see Abby?" He inquired, still looking at me with a worried stare.
"Do you wish to lend me one of your suit so I can use it instead of mine? Or you just wish to mock me, King?" I questioned as I walked closer to where he was standing.
"No sir!" He shook his head in disagreement seeing how close I was to him now.
"That's the spirit .. Now, let's leave this place before you talk about my shoes!" I dipped my right hand into my pocket before dashing out of the room.
King followed me from behind and the moment we got to the parking garage, he climbed into the driver's seat while I entered the back seat.
"When we come back, ask of Soul and how she slept last night. I don't want to be responsible for any misfortunes made on her!" I ordered with an authoritative voice which sounded more serious than my normal self.
"Soul? Who is that?" King turned to look at me as he tried knowing the lady I was referring to.
"She's one of the ladies mom brought to me King. Why do you think I came into your room last night? so please if you are satisfied with the response given to you, why don't you start the car and leave. We need to get out of here now!"
I compelled with my guttural voice so loud and daring as I relaxed my back against the seat.
King nodded and started the engines of the car which helped conveyed us out of the compound without mom's intervention.
Soon, we arrived at the company, we arrived at the place where King said she was working.
I climbed out of the car, admiring the kind of company she had found herself in. With my hands buttoning my suit jacket properly, I looked inside the company through the door.
"Here goes nothing!" I mumbled to myself as I took in a deep breath before matching forward.
I got into the company and was first welcomed into the company by the lady that was standing behind the counter.
"Good morning sir, how may we be of help to you today?" She asked with a calm and heartwarming voice.
"I … I am here to see an employee, I don't know if you will know her though but she's so beautiful that no man can resist her once she walks past him!" I described with a smile on my face.
"I think I would love to know her name Sir" the lady giggled hearing my sweet description of Abby.
"Her name is Abby, Abby Wilson!" I said openly as I went closer to the counter and had my elbow placed on it , awaiting her response to me.
"Oh… Miss. Abby? I heard she's in…."
The lady was going to say when immediately, I stopped her from talking further. Something she said had just caught my attention instantly.
"Did you just say Miss? Like Miss. Or Mrs Abby?" I questioned curiously as I looked into her eyes.
"She said we should tag her as Miss and not Mrs. Although she has a child, we are not allowed to call her Mrs." She explained, flipping the pages of the book that was before her.
She was probably searching for Abby's office location in the company while I was somewhat glad hearing what she said.
"If she wants you all to call her Miss, Does that mean she isn't married?" I meddled with a Snicker on.
"Go to the first floor Sir, you will find Abby .. then you ask her yourself!" She responded rudely , ignoring my question.
I understood the fact that I have been a bother since I walked into the company so I just kept calm and left her.
I was finally heading towards Abby's office as they had instructed and with a smile on my face, I stood before her office door.
"Stay calm Alex, she won't kill you if she sees you!" I said Inwardly before reaching for her door.
"Come in…" I heard her say the moment she heard the knock on the door.
Her voice gave me chills and shivers which ran down my spine. It was so sweet, comfortable and without seeing her face, I was sure she was still as pretty as the morning sun.
I opened the door slowly and the moment I set my eyes on her , I froze in fulfilment. Finally, I got to meet my girl.
The one lady my heart will forever yearn for, the one lady I will forever love without turning back.
"Hello Abby Wilson" I fought to say as I kept a sweet grin on my lips staring at her pretty face and body.
She stood to her feet probably in astonishment seeing me. She took a step forward but stopped for a second, looking at me.
She was surprisingly wearing the same red suit as me. It reminded me of that day, the day I proposed to her.
I was putting on a red suit that day and when I went to visit her in her office, I found her still in the same red suit.
"I guess fate has its ways of bringing us together huh?" I said softly as I dipped my hands into my pockets and went closer to her slowly.
"Aren't you going to say a word to me? Come on Abby, it's me Alex.. your lover!" I uttered the moment I got so close to her.
She still kept mute and I was sure she just couldn't believe that I was the one really in her office.
"Am I hallucinating right now?" She finally Questioned and surprisingly, a tear was seen rolling down from her eyes slowly.
With a broken heart and painful memories popping into my head, I placed my thumb on her cheek and immediately obliterated the tears off her face without leaving any trace on her face.
"You are not hallucinating, Abby. It's me, it's me Alex…." I whispered to her as I felt her heart racing from a closer range.
Everywhere had suddenly become so gloomy but romantic as I could feel how well she missed me.
I was still trying to make her feel okay when she came even closer to me and wrapped her arms around me tightly.
She wasn't willing to let me go , not even a chance.
I smiled as I placed my right hand on her head and my left arm wrapping around her body too.
I pressed my lips on her forehead in a kiss as I shut my eyes and prayed that such a feeling would last forever.
"I missed you so much Abby… I missed you as hell, I…." I was going to reveal further when she immediately pulled herself off my grip.
"What is wrong Abby?" I asked, looking confused.
She had taken more steps away from me with her eyes bulging out like she had seen a ghost.
"This can't be happening, this can't be ..." she stuttered as she turned her back against me.
I wasn't sure what she was referring to so I had to go closer to her in order to communicate with her properly.
I placed my hand on her shoulders from behind and was going to give her a warm embrace but she immediately pushed me off her body and adjusted away from me.
"Get out…Get out of my office" she ordered frighteningly.
"Are you…." I was going to ask Again but she became so violent all of a sudden.
She turned to her table and with her hand, she swept everything that was on the table to the ground.
"I said get the fuck out of here right now!!!" She screamed on top of her voice as I took two steps away from her.
"You left me Alex… you left me to suffer, they mocked me, they laughed at me and… and…. Get out now!!!" She Bellowed with her eyes turning red as torrent of tears flowed down her eyes.
"Sir Alex, we need to leave… we are drawing a lot of attention to this room" king from outside came to me as he suggested.
I turned around to the door and to my greatest unawareness, I saw staff members standing before the door and murmuring to themselves.
"We need to leave… she doesn't seem happy to see you!" King urged holding my hand.
"But she was a few minutes ago…" I felt totally bad seeing her in tears.
I lifted my gaze to Abby and with a painful smile and tears threatening to fall off my eyes , I spoke to her.
"Meeting you after the day I left has always been my dream, Abby… so…" I paused for a second.
"So… No matter what you do to send me away Abby Wilson, you will forever be mine and I won't give up on you. See you tomorrow Abby!" I asserted with a soft voice before walking out of her office pained by her reaction.
