Chapter 15 - Chapter 15 - The Clue

The car halted in front of the professor's house. Vicky got out and walked to the professor's side gate, professor opened the gate. Vicky helped him come out of the car and then both entered the house.

Professor called one of his students over the phone and said "Classes are suspended for a week, inform other students as well."

"Ok professor, " the student replied.

The professor asked Vicky to go into the kitchen, boil water, and the first aid box kept on the shelf, and bring it to him.

Vicky did the same, then the professor and Vicky took off their shirts and trousers revealing the wounds they had on their body.

Then the professor began pulling out the glass and sharp objects. They cleaned the wounds with warm water and antiseptic liquid, then applied bandages.

They sat on the sofa for a while without speaking a single word. Both took the support of the sofa to rest their neck and rested in that position.

They were so tired that they rested for 6 hours in the same position.

Thoughts were passing like a movie in their minds. Suddenly, they remembered about the ball. They woke up saying the same word

"The ball!"

It was 3 pm of afternoon.

"I think we left in the car, you fetch the ball and get some coffee for both of us," said the professor.

Vicky without wasting a minute wore the same shirt and trousers,

"I will get them," said Vicky moving toward the door.

Vicky went to the car, unlocked it, and searched for the ball, he found the ball beneath the driver's seat.

He picked up the ball and went back to the house after locking the car.

"Here it is," said Vicky handing over the ball to the professor.

The professor looked at the ball carefully and was trying to figure out what was written on it.

He then concluded that the sentence was jumbled.

< ANSWERS MOUNTAIN YOUR DEEP FIND IN >

"Ok we have to make a meaningful sentence out of these words," said the professor.

While the professor was thinking of the answer, Vicky spoke out

"Yes, exactly, you got it right," said the professor.

"But what does that mean?" asked Vicky.

Again professor looked at the ball cautiously to get some clue. He saw at the end of jumbled words an arrow upward was drawn on it besides which 'N' was written.

"N stands for north direction," the professor muttered.

"So our clue is to find mountains in the north direction, but what is there in the mountains," asked Vicky.

"A society of people who are experts in paranormal science, they live isolated from the world, but it is very difficult to find their hideout, only those people can know about them whom they want," said the professor.

"What did that mean?" asked Vicky

"That means you can only reach that area in the mountains where the probability of finding them is maximum," said the professor.

"So it is just like shooting arrows in the dark," said Vicky.

"Yes, I guess, but we have no choice," said the professor.

As they both were having a conversation there was a knock on the door.

"Who is this," Professor shouted.

"It's me, Jenny," Jenny answered standing outside the house.

"Well, this is not the good time for the girls to roam in the town," the professor muttered.

Vicky opened the door, seeing Vicky with bandages and wounds, she was shocked.

"what just happened?" Jenny asked.

"Come inside," said Vicky.

Jenny stepped in and saw the professor in the same condition as that was Vicky.

"what just happened to both of you, is this the reason the professor canceled the classes for a week?" asked Jenny.

"It's a long story, and don't have much energy to detail all to you," said the professor.

Then Vicky started explaining the complete story and Jenny listened to it carefully.

"This is not less than madness, you two might have lost your lives," Jenny reacted.

"In this field, your life is at risk each time when you are dealing with bad spirits," said Professor.

"So the clue is deep in the mountains, but whom we are looking for," asked Jenny.

"A society of paranormal experts, well we will leave in the morning," the professor said to Vicky.

"You people will leave in this situation, look at yourself, at least allow your wounds to heal," said Jenny.

"Wounds will heal with time, but we have to do our job," said the professor.

"Vicky you go with Jenny, drop her at the home safety," said the professor.

"I can go by myself, no need to worry," said Jenny.

"I don't want to take any risk, right now many things are happening in the town," said the professor.

Vicky took his motorbike's keys with him and got ready to leave.

"Ok professor, take care, bye," said Jenny.

Both of them went out and mounted their respective vehicles and moved towards Jenny's house.

They both reached Jenny's house, well that was a privacy moment both might be waiting for.

For some time they looked into each other's eyes

as if they are conversing through telepathy.

"So last night you risked your life for me?" asked Jenny in a pleasant voice.

Vicky just drowned in her eyes, he was noticing each n every expressions of Jenny.

Again Jenny snapped in front of his face and Vicky was like

"Ya, what, sure..,"

unable to answer.

Then Jenny asked the same question to him,

and Vicky said

" Ya, I did, because that was unbearable for me to watch you in that situation," said Vicky.

Then Jenny took out something from her handbag and held Vicky's hand.

" Keep this with you, this will help you in finding what you want," said Jenny.

That was a compass.

"This is the magical compass, which will you the direction of that thing about which you think in your mind," Jenny said again looking at the confused face of Vicky.

"Thanks for every thing, for helping me out, when no one was there," said Vicky.

Well, that was the goodbye moment,

Although Vicky was shy, but Jenny took the opportunity and kissed Vicky on his cheeks.

Vicky's heart began beating faster and faster.

He forgot all his pain due to wounds. The kiss worked like a healing potion for him.

Jenny then went inside her home, Vicky stood there watching her.
