Vicky guessed it right Jini was lured to the forest by the creature. As the shadow creature appeared in front her, she came to her senses and seeing this monster, she screamed with fear.
Vicky hustled to grab her but creature enveloped her and disappeared in a blink of an eye. Vicky stood there startlingly. Realizing his another failure against the creature, He shouted in agony.
"Nooooooooooooooooooo" Vicky shouted.
"this is not fair, why these innocent people only has to suffer like this" Vicky asked looking up in the sky as if he was mocking god.
Vicky kneeled in desperation, sweat all over his body and pin drop silence in forest. Then a hand touched his shoulder and he turned back to see whom it was?
The person was uncle Dave.
"what are you doing here Vicky? Its too dangerous over here, come lets head back to our home. Your aunt must be worried." said uncle Dave
"But uncle Dave you don't know what just happened" said Vicky
"We will discuss this once we reach our home, don't worry." said uncle Dave
Then Vicky stood up and they walked upto street, from there uncle Dave shared some fuel from his scooter to refuel the bike so as to reach home. Then Vicky kicked his bike's kick-lever at the front bottom right-side two three times.
The started and they both moved towards the home.
After reaching home , aunty Lily opened the door with a soft smile on her face but the smile was gone as soon as she saw Vicky's gloomy face. She didn't thought to bother him right there, So she closed the door and said
"Dinner will be served within 10 minutes" said aunt Lily giving dubious looks to uncle Dave.
But at that moment uncle Dave decided not to react. They both went to their respective rooms. After few minutes Vicky and uncle Dave gathered at dining table. The table was circular in shape, both grabbed their respective chairs and was be seated.
Aunt Lily served soup to both of them and she looked at uncle Dave in gesture to ask is anything wrong.
Uncle Dave waggled his head in disagreement as he didn't wanted discuss the matter by himself instead he wanted Vicky to share about it.
After serving all the dinner on the table, aunt poured some soup in bowl and sat with them. Vicky without giving any expression was having his soup.
"From yesterday, we have been noticing that something is happening with you, You had strange dream, from that incident you are still upset. I don't know what is going on but if you want to share I will be happy to hear it out." said aunt Lily
Vicky then begun to open about the whole he experienced. Vicky shared about what ever he saw last night and about an hour ago what had happened.
"The shadow creature, really, are you sure" asked aunt Lily
" I know you both will think that I am visualizing this but this is not a kind of day dreaming. That small 6 years old girl is gone missing, you will come to know tomorrow once you hear it on news or read it in newspaper" said Vicky.
"Well that is something serious, now" said uncle Dave
As soon as uncle Dave finished his statement, they all heard the knock on the door.
"This is SLPD (San Luis Police Department), please open the door" said an officer.
Uncle Dave opened the door and asked "what happened officer?"
"Sir an incident has been reported few hours ago, a girl named Jini from an orphanage is found missing, since your son is the last person who met those children, we would like to ask few questions" said officer
"sure officer, we would love to help" said uncle Dave
Officer entered the house looking around and taking note of everything in house. Then he sat on sofa and Vicky also sat in front of him, face to face.
"Yes officer, how my I help you" said Vicky
" You were the last to meet those children, did that girl got missing at that time?" asked officer
" No officer, I don't think so, children were not allowed to leave the premises and there was always one person to keep a watch on them." replied Vicky
"When you left the place , did you counted the children" asked officer
" sir, actually I never counted because since they played in premises and the main gate was always closed, so I never felt the requirement" replied Vicky.
"Ok then, if we will need you , will contact you." said officer
Officer then moved out, shook hands with uncle Dave and went back on his bike.
Vicky didn't spoke the complete truth about the girl as he knew that officer won't believe him, not even officer but no one would believe him.
But from inside he felt so bad about all this, he knew, it was not in the limits of the police to find about the girl.
" ok, enough for today, we will talk about this tomorrow, go get some rest." uncle Dave said to Vicky.
Vicky went upstairs in his room and closed the door. He noted down his experience in his diary as he used to do but still he was not able to forget about the girl. He switched off lights and sat on bed taking the support of wall at back in relaxed manner looking at moon outside window.
And steadily went into sleep.
Hearing the peculiar sound that insects made at night, his eyes opened suddenly and
" wait a minute, where am I" Vicky muttered in his mind.
As he found himself sleeping in the same posture as he did in his room but this time he was sleeping by the side of a tree in the same forest.
He got up and started looking around, It was then, when a flash of light appeared few distance away from him and he saw Jini.
