Vicky was shocked as he woke up in the dark forest. The trees stood tall enough that if you see towards the sky, they would appear touching it. The forest was covered with a light mist, hence making it even tougher for Vicky to be able to see around.
As Vicky woke up, he was heavily breathing and shivering in fear, his mind was flooding with thoughts. What he should do? Where he should go? For a moment he thought he must be dreaming. So he slapped himself but to his dismay he was wrong.
He stood up, everything looked so calm, not a single voice can be heard. A drop of sweat went down behind Vickey's ear towards the lateral neck portion. As he was struggling to see through in the forest, all of a sudden he saw a shadow with red eyes blinking, and as the shadow opened its mouth, carnivores teethes sunken in blood were visible. The shadow blinked and appeared closer to Vicky.
Vicky was again looked scrupulously and the shadow blinked again. Just for a second when Vicky was about to figure out what was happening? The shadow appeared right in front of him only a few inches away.
A feeling of cold ran down his body and without wasting a millisecond he just ran in the opposite direction of the shadow. He kept on running as hard and fast as he could. As he was running the forest seemed to be endless. It appeared as if the whole forest was a maze, with the same width, and height of trees, the mist was like icing on the cake.
Finally, Vicky stopped at a tree thinking he had drawn enough distance from the shadow. The moment he turned around, the shadow was right in front of him.
The shadow screamed making a creepy sound with mouth wide open. Looking at all this since Vicky had lost much of his energy in running, his mind gave up and Vicky fainted and collapsed on the ground.
A few minutes later he came back to his senses. Again he found himself in the same forest. For a moment he thought did be getting up from sleep but to his disappointment, the answer was no. His head was feeling heavy, since ran too quickly through the forest regardless of direction and obstacles came between. He has hurt himself, scratches on his hands and legs can be seen. A deep cut was also there on the lateral side of the stomach.
Out of energy, bleeding from the stomach side, and feeling thirsty, this was the situation Vicky was in. Then slowly he recalled that he was running away from a deadly shadow.
Vicky thought about why it was happening to him only. what have I done to someone? I excepted my life the way it was, never complained, and in return, I got this.
All such thoughts were rolling in his mind, at that moment he heard a voice of a woman screaming in pain and calling out his name loudly
"vickyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy vvvvviiiiiiccccccckyyyyyyyyyy" unknown lady voice
Vicky followed the voice. At this point one might think not to go after the voice but what else option did Vicky have? So he kept on moving in the direction of the voice.
After moving half of a mile, the forest ended. In front of Vicky, there was a small town masked in darkness, not a single streetlight or light was glowing. Since Vicky was at the height from where he was able to have an overview of the town. He also was a church, to his surprise even the church lights were off.
Then he moved towards the town following the voice, as he proceeded through the town he saw empty houses and not a single person to be seen. Doors and windows moved freely to the wind making a peculiar sound, although no one was there the presence of many can be felt. This whole scenario was so spooky that Vicky got goosebumps.
The woman's voice started converging to a few houses when Vicky moved even closer to those houses. He found that the voice was coming from a single house.
He pushed the main gate forward and entered the premises. Then he slowly walked towards the gate to see if someone was there, but there was no sign of the woman, also the voice of the woman calling out his name stopped.
In an instant again he heard the screaming of women and the lights in the house started blinking. Vicky darted back, he was experiencing a mixture of fear and anxiety.
He summoned his nerves and went inside. He knew what else bad can happen, so he move towards the voice, the voice was coming from a room. The door was closed.
Vicky opened the door and saw a woman standing in the corner of a room enveloping a small boy and there stood the same shadow creature in a position to attack the woman.
Then women said to the creature " If you spare my child I offer my body and soul to you, my soul will stay with you till eternity."
The creature in a deep and heavy voice said " DEAL"
Seeing the helpless mom for the sake of protecting her sacrificing her life, above all this a thought came to his mind that this small child will be alone in this world without the care and affection of his mother.
That thought took over Vicky's fear and anxiety and filled with anger blood ran down through his veins. Vicky clenched his fist and quickly looked around for something to hold or use as a weapon. He saw a piece of wood, he quickly grabbed that piece and dashed toward the creature.
The waved his hands towards Vicky pushing him forcefully, Vicky's body got lifted in the air, being thrown towards the glass window. The force was so huge that Vicky fell outside the house smashing the window.
Vicky shouted looking at the room "Nooooooooooo"
Again he heard a woman's voice screaming and that creature feasting on her. Vicky has never felt such a helpless as now.
Vicky has taken much damage that he was unable to stand up on his own. So he crawled towards a pole and took the support of it to stand up. Again he walked lamely towards the main entrance of the house since due to the fall his leg was badly hurt.
As he was at the doorstep, a strong force of wind came towards him and pushed him away from the house with a clear voice he heard
"GO AWAY"
And Vicky laid on the ground, wounds on his body, restless. His eyelids slowly started closing with the sound of woman and creature in his mind. Vicky fainted.
