You and Eddie passed out on the couch. When you woke up, Eddie was on your chest. It was probably 4 or 5 o'clock. You wanted to head to your house. You slowly crept from under Eddie. Somehow, you escaped, and was about to leave, but wanted to creep around for fun. You walked into  Eddie's room. You didn't want to completely invade his privacy. There was a little box on his dresser. You open it. Your shower Polaroid was in there. As you picked it up, you noticed another picture. "What's this?" you whispered. You picked it up. It was another girl. She had bright blonde hair and blue eyes. She was gorgeous. There was a date written on it, March 21, 1986. "Who the fuck is this?" you mumble to yourself. You hear Eddie get up and you get scared. He opens the door smiling, however gets confused by the look on your face. "Who the fuck is this?" you shout. "Ellie, I can explain." he rushes over to you, but you push him away. "Please, Ellie," he says. "wait, why were you digging through my stuff in the first place?" You turned pale. "I- uh-" "That's not fucking fair Ellie," he raises his voice, "I need privacy, too." "Not when it's secrets!" you yell back. You began getting flashbacks. You felt weak and dizzy. "SECRETS?!? Tell me about secrets! You won't tell me about your dad, and you don't see me digging through your shit!" He took his hands out of his pocket and raised them. You flinched. Something flipped the switch in him. "Ellie?" he says softer, "did you think I was going to hurt you?" You look down and storm out of his room. He pauses for a second and then runs after you. "Ellie!" he yells, "Ellie wait!" You run to your house and lock the door. You ran to your room. Eddie turned for the window, and then turned away. You stormed into Max's room. She was coloring. "Maxi!" you yell, "take me somewhere no one will find me!" "Whoa!" she jumped, "what happened?" Tears started streaming down your face. "I'll- I uh," you cried. "It's okay, we can go," she says embracing you in a hug. You follow her outside and jump on your bike. You can hear loud shuffling from Eddie's trailer, but that was the last thing you wanted to see. Max takes you down a small trail. Suddenly, you were riding through thick forest. You got a few cuts on your legs and arms. The tears were cold on your skin in the wind. Max started slowing down and you nearly crashed into her. All of the sudden, you were at a clearing. You were overlooking all of Hawkins.

"Woah," you say, walking over to the cliff. "I know!" Max cheers. You glance over the edge of the cliff. Your intrusive thoughts suddenly went wild. Max pulled you out of it. "You ok?" she sits down on the edge. "Yeah," you sit next to her, "me and Eddie got into a fight." "Bout what?" she scoots closer. You take a deep breath. "I found a picture of a girl in a box of his," you say breathy, "he didn't tell me who it was. He got mad at me for looking through his stuff." Max looked at me. "I had flashbacks of my mom," you look down, "he got on to me for not telling him what happened to my dad." "That is foul!" she shouted. "Well, if you want it word for word he said, "Secrets? Tell me about secrets! You won't tell me about your dad, and you don't see me digging through your shit!" "Oh, that makes more sense," Max said grabbing your hand, "maybe he is right." "What do you mean?" you ask. "Maybe it's time you tell him." "But I'm scared." "For what?" "My mom, you know what she said, I can't tell anyone!" "And yet you told me. Eddie is your boyfriend, I think he deserves to know." You kick your feet over the edge. "I guess you're right." you sigh. "I'm not telling you how to live your life. I'm just saying, it will help him understand." You look up and see your school. 'Am I going at this all wrong? Is this my fault?' you think. "Then what is the picture of?" you ask Max. "I don't know," she said looking up at the city, then turns to you, "it depends if he wants to tell you. Ellie, you're not the only one with a scary backstory." That sentence gave you chills. What could have possibly hit Eddie so hard? Is this why he is happier? "Do you want to go?" she asks. "I'm going to stay here for a while," you look down the cliff. "I'm going to head home," she stands up. "If Eddie asks, tell him I am asleep." Max laughed and headed back to her bike.

Now it was just you and your thoughts. Which might not be a good thing, because all they want you to do is jump. "It's all my fault." You say with tears streaming down your face. "I looked through his stuff. God! I hate myself." You yelled. You looked around in the trash that was scattered everywhere. You found an aluminum can. You decided to destroy it. Once it was cut open, you pulled apart a small piece. You used it as a knife. It was very, very sharp. It cut through easily. You were so mad. You just kept doing it and doing it. Until suddenly, had white at the bottom. You stopped, and realized what you did. You were scared. There was a lot of blood and nothing to stop it. You took off your sweater and used it. It slowly stopped bleeding. You cried and cried. "Fuck you!" you screamed, "I fucking hate you, Ellie!" You looked down at the city and saw Eddie's van. Although, it looked like an ant, you could tell it was his. Your eyes followed it for a solid 10 minutes, trying to figure out where he was going. But, he went in circles. You shrug it off. You look at your arm. "You pitiful being," you mutter and put your sweater back on. It now had blood stains on it. You just cried and cried. You got on your bike and headed home. You got even more cuts on you from the thick brush.

When you got home, it was almost dark. You hadn't seen Eddie. Frankly, you didn't care. You desperately needed to clean your cuts. You snuck into Max's moms room for supplies. You took a shower to feel cleaner. When you were done, you put on a black hoodie and underwear. You hopped in bed. Eddie was all you could think about. You softly cried into your pillow, "gosh Ellie, why do you have to be such a bitch!" You heard a soft knock on your window. "Ellie...?! I'm sorry, can you please let me in? I want to talk." A familiar voice said through the window. Your eyes widen and quickly open the window. "Eddie... I'm so sorry, I'm such a bitch! I-I love you so much!" You say hugging him as he looks like he's been crying for hours. "E-Eddie? Are you okay?" You cup your hands on his cheeks as they feel soaked. "Eddie, you're crying! Please come here!" He bursts out crying into your shoulders like a baby which makes you feel bad. "Baby, i'm sorry! I messed up, I shouldn't have yelled at you... I'm so sorry, I love you, Ellie." he says mumbling to you in your shoulders as you rub his back. He gets up to talk like adults. "I shouldn't have looked through your things." you looked down. "I don't care about that anymore." he says. You really wanted to ask him who the girl was, but don't because you wanted to respect his privacy. He doesn't ask you about your dad either. He hugs you. "I was looking for you!" he mumbled into your shoulder. "I was hiding," you said softly. "Must've been a good spot," he said, "is that blood on your jacket?" He points to the one on the ground "Oh, no," you quickly push him the other way. You pull him down on your bed and fall asleep with his arms around your waist.
