The receptionist saw Patrica and was a bit surprised, she knew the surgery was going to take at least one more hour
"Madam you are leaving already?" she asked
"Yes I really can't wait any longer, I have to be on my way, I have something very urgent to attend to" she replied and left
Patricia called Angel as soon she got into her car
"I got the job done, we are even now," she said and hung up, she's not willing to continue talking to her and she drove back home
Mike got to his office an hour and a few minutes later
Seeing that the doctor was out of the operating room the receptionist went to meet them to inform him that his wife was around before he went into the office
"Dr Mike" she called out to him
"What do you need?" he asked hurriedly
"Your wife was here earlier but she left already, she said she could not wait till you are done, she brought pizza for you I didn't see her leave with it so I'm sure she must have left it for you," She said
"You mean Patricia was here?" he was taken aback
"Yes sir" she replied to him
"All alright thank you, you can back now" he dismissed her
"All right doc," she said and went back to her post
Mike was really surprised as to what he just heard, Patrica rarely came here, what could she want, he got to his office and found a box of pizza untouched
Mike felt something was wrong but he could not place his finger on what exactly it was, he got to this table and found that everything was still intact
' What could it be that she was looking ' he asked himself
Patricia was up to something and he was definition going to find out
He looked at the pizza it did look tantalizing but he didn't feel like eating it, so he threw it into the bin and continued with his work
Jane arrived at the company she didn't even feel like coming here today, but she had to come, she had to put her issues aside and do her job
Not like he was going to allow her to do anything anyway, now that she thinks about it, he just uses her coming to cook for him as an excuse to always have her around ' What a pervert ' she thought
She walked into the company and all eyes were on her, she felt slightly embarrassed she she knew it was because of what happened yesterday
As she passed by she heard people talking and saying all sorts of things but she pretended not to care
"Is that not the girl the president fired Zain for?"
"Yes she is the one, I wonder if they are in a relationship," the other person said
"No I doubt the president can't stoop so low to that extent, I'm sure she seduced him, she's just nothing but a toy
"Will you guys stop jumping to conclusions you will be the next to get fired by the time the president hears all this nonsense you are saying" Slyvia was the one who spoke
The gossipers walked away but they were still whispering things to themselves
Jane looked up and saw that it was Slyvia who defended her, she never thought that possible, she thought she hated her because of Zain
"You don't have to worry about those girls, they do nothing but gossip all day long" she comforted her
"Thanks for standing up for me I felt like passing out," she said
"It's fine, but they are somehow correct though," she said
"Uhhmm I mean you and the president, we hardly see his face, but yesterday he came down all the from his office to save you from Zain's grip
Why does he have to go through the struggle he could have ordered anyone to do it" she said
"Oh that he's just being a nice boss to me" she interjected
"A nice boss? He's never like that to any of his employees at least that's what I heard" she said
"Maybe because I work for him directly, by the way, is Zain back to work? she asked trying to divert the topic she didn't want to keep talking about her and Chris's matter
Seeing that she was avoiding the topic, Slyvia decided not to press harder
"Zain was fired remember?" she said
"Yes I know that but I already pleaded with Mr Christopher and he agreed to give him his job back and mail has been sent to him" Jane explained
"Are you sure about what you are saying to me right now?" she said
"Of course, I was there myself," she said
"Wow this is great news, maybe he's still resting, he didn't look so well yesterday, but I'm sure he will resume tomorrow or next," she said hugging him
"Thank you so much for putting words for him" She thanked her
"It's okay Zain is my friend as well and I would not like to see him suffer, I have to go now," she said and made her way to Chris's office
