Patrica made sure she waited till Mike got back from work something she rarely does, she just wanted to get this over with so she wouldn't have to deal with Angel any longer
Mike came back from work and saw that the lights were still on, which was very weird he thought maybe Patrica had forgotten to put off the lights
He noticed someone coming from the kitchen and it was Patrica, he was taken aback this had never happened all through the three years they had been married
"Hey honey welcome back," she said and gave him what seemed to be her best smile
"You only call me that outside and you never wait up for me, when did that start, is there something we are celebrating?" he asked
Patrica walked up to him seductively and wrapped her arms around him
"Is it bad to wait up for my husband who has been to work since morning?" she said and that made Mike even more surprised
"Anyways that's not important, you should freshen up and come back down to make dinner, I made food for you tonight," she said
"Are you sure nothing is going on Patricia, you are acting weird I'm not hungry thanks I will be going straight to bed, I had a long day at work and I have to be up early as well" he said and headed for his room
"What about the DNA test result" she asked, she didn't have the patience to keep cajoling him
"Why do you care about my work?" he interjected
"Well I'm just curious, know we never can tell what might be the outcome," she said not wanting to take sides with anybody
"I will have the results tomorrow evening I will take it myself to the mansion," he said and left
Even though she had wasted all her effort waiting up for him and ordering food she still got the answer she needed, she would have to find a way to go with him to the mansion and then change the results there
She has to do it herself to avoid any loopholes
She also made her way to her room, for two years now they have slept in different rooms they don't love each other, she would have filed for divorce but Mike is the only access she has to stay close to Christopher
Now she even knows a big secret about Angel and her father, she will get them when the time comes
Mike went to his room, took his bath, and then changed his clothes
Honestly, he had not had anything to eat since the afternoon, he hadn't had the time, but there was no way he would eat Patrica's meal especially when she was behaving like that
Something seemed to be wrong but he couldn't pinpoint what it was exactly, he didn't care anyway maybe she needed more money apart from her allowance, that must be it he thought
He crashed on his bed with the hope of finding sleep but he wasn't able to sleep, he had been having sleepless nights for a while now, and if he was not mistaken it had been since when he set his eyes on Grace at Christopher's welcome party that night
He can't seem to get her out of his head, they used to be very close together, she would always come to the hospital that time and bug him with a lot of questions, she wanted to be a doctor back then
He would gladly answer them and he enjoyed spending time with her, she never grew tired of coming and he never grew tired of having her around
She was so beautiful back then and innocent but now she has grown to be a beautiful and sexy woman who has achieved a lot for herself
But then she suddenly traveled three years back and the next thing he knew was that she was an actress, he never realized that she was like his best friend until she left
And when she returned he had excepted to see her at the hospital but she never came, she didn't even call all those years she was abroad
He took it that she was busy with studies and building her career, but when they met at Chris's party and the few times he had gone over to the mansion she never even looked at him, which made him feel very uncomfortable
He doesn't know what but something is definitely and he hopes to find out soon
Right now the only thing he can use to console himself is the thought of her especially as his life has been tortured in this sham he calls a marriage
Grace finally retired to her room after minutes of watching her brother and Jane, they even kissed each other, something was up and she had to help them spice things up
She lay on her bed and thoughts of everything that she and Jane talked about came running down her head, her heartache as she remembered that she had also been turned down by someone she loved in the most humiliating way, and the bitter truth is that she can't stop loving him
She went to her safe where she keeps things and brought out the letter, it was the letter Mike had sent to her after she had sent him a letter professing her dying love for him
It took her all the courage in the world to be able to write that letter, she had waited so long for him to notice her, that's why she went to the hospital all those times, that's why she even wanted to study medicine in the first place
Not because she wanted to but because she wanted to be close to him and all; she would give anything to be with him back then, but what did she get in return? humiliation
