The rays of bright sunlight enter the room through the window and touch the closed eyes of an old, kidney failure man insisting him to open up his eyes. He turns his eyes to the clock which is striking nine.
Gathering strength, he tries to call his young daughter aloud, "Robin! Hey Robin!! Get up! It is nine O'clock. We would get late".
The young, pretty cute face pops up with tousled hair when Robin sits up immediately pulling out her blanket in the next room of the same house. As soon as she sits upon her bed and looks at the clock, she moves as fast as she can to help her father get ready. Afterward, she goes to the kitchen and prepares breakfast for both of them and gets ready herself too then they gather to have breakfast.
"Dad, Sorry for the delay". She speaks.
"It's not your fault, my dear. Actually, it's not your job but you are great at doing it." Mr. Robert's accent feels calm.
"I have called the ambulance; I hope we can get there on time." She replies looking at the red-colored wall clock.
After a few moments have passed, an ambulance approaches and picks them up to drop them to the hospital. Mr. Robert is taken into the ward for in-center hemodialysis while Robin has to sit on the chair by the door. Almost after the passage of three to five hours, Doctor Ed approaches her and tells her that his father's condition is getting unwell day by day.
"Dialysis will remain going on but it cannot recover his condition."
His words leave her downcasted. He also says that his disease is affecting his sugar level as well as blood pressure level which might result in a heart attack. She lets her tears begin to flow from her eyes.
Doctor Ed expresses his sorrows and sympathies in his low voice.
"Shedding tears is not a solution. Have patience! Time will change".
She goes to Mr. Robert after rubbing her eyes with her sleeves and sits by him. She asks him how he is feeling now.
Mr. Robert says "It was a cold night of December when your mother, after packing all her stuff, left me without a "BYE" and went away. Since then I have been feeling sad."
Robin says while brushing her face with her hands in frustration "That time you could marry another woman so why did not?"
Mr. Robert says "The sadness is not for the reason that a woman has left me but due to De Maubin having left me."
Robin speaks with a soft tone "You mean you loved her."
He says with a sigh "No, I mean I still love her."
She convinces him,"My dear father, in my opinion, you have to take care of yourself only and stop thinking about those who didn't think about you."
He says with a slight smile, "And I think, I don't even need to take care of myself too, because I have been given a very loving and caring daughter."
Robin smiles with pride at the words of her father.
"I am just coming back after purchasing your medicines."
She goes off after a short ruffle in his father's black curls. After a few minutes have passed, a tall, bold, nefarious, strange man enters the ward.
His valiant voice is found unrecognized, "I guess, you might not know who I am, so don't waste my time by trying to do so and tell me where the documents are?"
Mr. Robert: "What sorts of documents are you talking about?"
His swift reply thrills Mr. Robert, "Your property documents!"
Mr. Robert says "Oh! I got who you are actually! You can't get them so go back to the person who has sent you."
Man retorts with a mirthless smile, "Ah! You know very well that you are having the very last moments of your life. They are useless for you."
Mr. Robert gives a solemn statement "I have a single innocent daughter. Stop thinking about my money, otherwise you might be killed".
The valiant, tall Man passes an ironic smile
"You are mad!"
A young boy promptly approaches the room.
"Hello uncle!" the boy says.
His facial expressions are turned instantaneously with the intention to leave "Would you please allow me to leave? Don't worry; I will surely come here again for your condolences."
He leaves quickly once given the nod to go.
"Hello Ritcher! When did you arrive?"
Mr. Robert greets Ritcher with a firm handshake and a smile.
Ritcher replies "yeah! I came today morning. Who was he?"
Mr. Robert speaks with a laugh "He was my friend's son. Just came to see me. Leave him. What about you? How are you doing now-a-days."
Ritcher "I am fine, Uncle. It is you who is not fine. Get well as soon as possible. I can't wait much and Robin needs you."
Mr. Robert says hopelessly "Now, I am sure that I can't meet the needs of Robin."
Ritcher motivates him "Uncle! Don't lose hope. I know you will get well very soon. All you need is just patience."
At a while, Robin enters the ward and gets surprised to find Ritcher in the ward.
"Hey Ritcher! Hi! When did you get here? You didn't even try to inform me?
"Yeah! I came this morning. My phone is damaged."
He replies with a blissful smile.
"Oh! Well, it's okay. Glad to see you. We are getting home. Dad, let's go home." Robin replies pleasantly.
"Actually I am going to spend my vacation with both of you." He replies.
"Very well! I hope you will enjoy it with us." Says Mr. Robert.
