The bird scanned the area, its eyes keeping track of all it could see. Its head snapped to the shadows as it kept its eyes on them. It looked like it had just moved, but now that the bird kept track of it, it was starting to doubt itself. The more it watched the less interesting and eye-catching it became. It eventually became so ignorable that the bird couldn't even bring itself to watch its completely mundane existence.
The bird kept an eye on everywhere but the shadows as they were just so normal that there was no way anything could be there. Little did the hawk know that Eodum was slinking through the shadows and using [Presence Detection Alteration] to make itself more ignorable as well as making the surroundings more noticeable. Eodum had a sense of nostalgia as it evaded the many hawks' detection.
In the end, Eodum had decided to just sneak around the birds and keep to the shadows where it was safe. Once Eodum made it to an area with less of the feathered watchers than the rest, it quickly made itself a burrow and filled in the entrance. It then made the burrow deeper and deeper while filling the area behind it with the dug up dirt. Then, it proceeded to open something it had been meaning to for a while.

… Only five levels? Eodum was honestly expecting more. The rat had managed to get two levels from its time hunting, so while three levels were quite something from a single monster, the danger introduced and the reward given just didn't line up. Guess that's the benefit of being related to a strong monster.
When a monster is born, it will often have the same species and some of the same skills—excluding racial skills—as their parents. This train of thought led Eodum to think about its new parents. Both in this life and the one before, Eodum and its siblings were forced to fend for themselves. Unlike the sea hawks, monster rats don't really care about their spawn.
Pushing aside the thoughts on Eodum's species and their care for their young, the rat put ten points into luck. Why? Because why not.
… No skill? The last time Eodum had reached a hundred point mark for their attributes, they got skills based around the attribute they invested in. Sighing and shrugging despite still feeling a little disappointed, Eodum thought about what it'd like to become better at. Right now, Eodum was thinking all of its points into either agility, strength, or constitution. The reason why was because by doing that, it'd be able to get a new skill.
Thinking about it, Eodum decided to just think about which attribute was the most useful. Agility was good for being nimble and quick. It included things like fancy aerial maneuvers and anything finesse-based along with dexterity. The difference between the two was that agility included the entirety of the body and how it moved.
Constitution was pretty simple: it made things more hardy, resilient, and also just improved a being's cardio. It was good for tanking damage and resisting damage and ailments like poison or petrification. All of Eodum's resistance skills would benefit from investing in this.
Strength, too, was pretty simple. All it did was make a creature stronger. Eodum would be able to hit harder, pick heavier things up, and just do more stuff which required one to be strong. Simple but always helpful. It also let Eodum get more force when moving; the harder one applied force to the ground, the harder the ground applied force back. Physics!
After an intense internal debate, Eodum finally decided to spend the rest of its points on strength. When it came down to it, strength seemed to mix best with Eodum's fighting style. It would hide and ambush an opponent with the element of surprise and immense strength. The initial rush would be so overwhelming that Eodum wouldn't need to worry about dodging or tanking damage.
Solidifying its choice in its mind it spent the rest of its points and felt the alert from the system.
[You have achieved 100 points in the stat: Str. You will receive a skill in accordance with this achievement!]
[You have gained Full Power.]
[Full Power]
[The user is able to consume 50 Mp and St per second to quintuple Str.]
… Neat. This would rapidly deplete the Eodum's Mp and St, but it would bring Eodum's strength count to over five hundred. That number would increase exponentially with Eodum investing more and more points into strength. Eodum gave it a quick try and immediately felt both strong as well as getting weaker rapidly.
Finally, Eodum was led to its skill, and it knew exactly what it wanted to do with those points.
It maxed out the skills [Weakness Pinpoint], [Accelerated Thoughts II], [Muscle Tension], and invested the last three Sp into [Presence Detection Alteration]. It was about to get onto evolving all its skills, but a loud screech caught its attention.
