*Step*
*Step*
*Step*
The steps' sound echo off the stone brick walls, alerting all in the dark dungeon that someone is coming. The steps aren't the usual click of shoes on stone, it's more like claws and paws stepping on stone. Each step, ringing loudly throughout these empty halls and filled jail cells, attracts the attention of the inmates. Passing each cell while on its way, the inmates get a glimpse of their newest leader and superior to their warden. A rat the size of a medium dog with fur darker than anything they've ever seen before.
The rat walked with purpose down the halls, followed by a floating, flaming man wearing a suit, a woman in heavy, fancy armor, and the well-known Delacs. The man's orange flames illuminated the surrounding hall, but the light seemed to disappear whenever it touched the rat. The woman seemed human, until one saw her face: her face could almost be mistaken for bones, if not for the very thin layer of skin covering it. Any amount of muscle was nonexistent, or extremely atrophied. Her irises glowed a dull, light blue; it looked like she could stare through your soul if she wanted.
The four walked down the hall until they eventually reached their destination of a joint cell. In the joint cell was a thin human with whisker-like facial hair, and next to him was a fat orc. The two looked up to the cause of the steps. Their eyes shot open in fear and anger, "YOU!!!"
"That's right, me," Eodum said, "Now, let's talk."
Tnedor glared and spat, "Wh-Why would we want to talk to you!?"
"Th-That's r-right," the Baron nodded vigorously, "After All-you did to u-u-us!?"
"That's right, afterall I did to you," Eodum said, "First off, a warning: if you try anything funny, you'll die, understood?"
"Y-Yes…" The two said reluctantly.
"Good, "Eodum replied happily, "Now starting tomorrow, you'll go back to your original jobs, but under heavy surveillance of course. You'll be taking care of your normal duties, and ensuring Nomed doesn't fall apart by then, understood?"
The two nodded, "Y-Yes!"
That was when Tnedor smiled a rodent-like smile, "D-D-Do you really think you're gonna get away with this? Either the kingdom who's a-ambassador y-y-you just killed will get revenge, the Tolpetsaw Kingdom, or the Tarlived Empire w-w-will!"
Eodum smirked, "We know, it's all part of the plan." The plan was simple. Eodum would shapeshift out of its cage and free Sheila and Henry. Delacs would be in the room at the time, and his guards would be in the current shift. Eodum would then dig a tunnel to a room nearby the Baron while Delacs would navigate based off of pipes and other man made materials in the ground.
When Eodum emerged, they would dig into the ceiling and into the attic. Delacs men would poison the ambassador's drink, and the four would pop down from the ceiling behind the Baron. Eodum would capture the Baron and Delacs would guard it on its way. Henry and Sheila would pop out from the window: Henry would take to the skies and wait for the signal while Sheila would head into town. Sheila would make a ruckus and lead the guards to the platform. Delacs men would also help lead the guards to the platform.
Eodum would then begin negotiations with the army and make a show of power. Once the army had surrendered or had been killed, the Baron and Tnedor would be captured, and they would ensure that every citizen was in their house and unable to leave. The ambassador had some guards which would've also been poisoned; Delacs's guards would dress up as them and make their way for Tolpetsaw Kingdom, reporting that Nomed had declared itself separated from the Tarlived Empire, and that they viscously killed the ambassador.
The kingdom would send their armies against Nomed, no longer fearing if the Tarlived Empire was backing them. Void Horse and Delacs's soldiers would run from the city while the Baron was in charge. The Tolpetsaw Kingdom would destroy Nomed while it was in a state of disarray, and then it was Delacs's major role. Delacs and his soldiers would go to Count Seles, a nearby count in charge of the city Reltna. They would then attack the Tolpetsaw Kingdom in the name of the Tarlived Empire, and the destruction of Nomed would be pinned on the Tolpetsaw Kingdom.
Void Horse would make their way to a safe city, kingdom, or town. Away from the crime scene. While leaving Nomed, the Void Horse and Delacs's group would raid the items gotten from Ksilisab. This brings us to the present, where Eodum is swallowing pieces of Ksilisab into its void, and Delac's soldiers are pushing pieces of it into a magic bag. Good old plundering, does the heart good!
*****
"Sir," A soldier with an insignia of a curved wing and four strings running across it like a harp said, "We have found the rat from Sedah and Seelf; it is in the city Nomed of the Tarlived Empire."
A muscular man with a long, blue cape with the same wing insignia on it said, "Understood, wait outside for further instructions."
"Yes sir, Thill Sir!" The soldier saluted as he backed out of the room.
Thill put his hand to his chin, "Tarlived, ay? Been a while since I dealt with anything under Naidisbo's rule; guess I should be off to give the soldiers further instruction now, shouldn't I?" As Thill said that, he pivoted on his heel and made his way to the door. The door swung open to reveal his form to the many soldiers outside. Thill prepared to speak, "Listen up everyone! We're going to be sending some forces for Nomed; that rat cannot be allowed to live. We'll set off in about one week. Prepare yourselves for battle."
"Understood!" All the soldiers chimed at once. They then quickly exited the room leaving only Thill. His brows furrowed, "I only hope this doesn't get out of hand; Naidisbo was always one for revenge."
