The Baron was marched to his office, surrounded by five guards. He nervously looked around, and tried to sprint away down the hall. For a large man like himself, he was surprisingly fast and nimble, but he wouldn't outspeed an arrow. The arrow that just flew into his calf. He tripped, fell, and yelled out of pain as tears welled up in his eyes. Those tears would have to wait though, as another arrow sped into his foot. The first arrow was to stop him, the second was punishment.
The dam of tears broke, signified by the stream coming down his scrunched up face. He was heather to his feet, and the arrows ripped from his wounds causing more damage to his body. He had his legs wrapped up to stop the bleeding, and was now carried to his room as he had lost his walking privileges. He was thrown into his chair violently, and three guards left while two were left to watch the Baron.
He weeped while in his chair, but eventually realized that this would lead to nothing. He sucked up his tears and got to work, having nothing left to do. He reviewed the papers in front of him, and got to stamping orders and writing his signature. While the Baron had a shitty personality, he was good at his job, and had a good work ethic. He was a lazy bastard though, so the unimportant tasks were ordered to be left up to his subordinates.
Tnedor on the other hand was just shit at everything: he didn't have any skills, he didn't have any work ethic; the only reason he got as far as he did was because he bribed his superiors. At the moment, he is bawling his eyes out being stabbed in the leg because of his refusal to do anything. In addition when he does do something, he makes it much worse. Delacs commanded him to be thrown back into his cell, and he continued to weep.
The constant damn crying of Tnedor really got the hatred of every other inmate; it didn't help with the fact that he's also an ex-guard. He did throw a few of these prisoners in here. The glares of the other inmates constantly watched Tnedor with every move he made. May whatever deity that watched over him have mercy in him, as those other prisoners wouldn't.

The streets of Nomed were mostly silent except for the soldiers walking around on them. No citizens were allowed outside of their homes. At the beginning of the takeover, all citizens were supplied with a week's worth of rations, so they wouldn't have any need to go out. If one was sick, that was too bad; Nomed no longer viewed that as an issue. One group of citizens were making a silent escape. They cut down a portion of their wall, and were currently gathering their belongings.
"Alright everyone," A satyr father whispered to his family, "Do we have all of our things?"
A silent nod came from the bear-person mother and their two hybrid children. A nervous smirk formed on the father's face, "Okay, then let's get moving." The four began creeping in the alleys of the slums they lived in. Sneaking by guards, and winding up at the gate. The mother took a grappling hook that was wrapped around her shoulder. She slung it up using her bear-person strength. It flew upwards and successfully hooked on the ledge of the wall.
The four began scaling Nomed's wall. Normally for children as young as these two, this would be far too difficult, but their bear-person strength let them hoist themselves up the wall with relative ease. As they scaled the wall and made it to the top, they met with an armored face. Tension built as the family was fully expecting they'd have to fight for their lives, but the soldier countered their beliefs, "Okay, let's just calm down, yeah? I hate this situation just as much as the next demon, so I won't report this. Just go, quickly!"
The four nodded, hooked their rope, and started climbing down. The father went last and before he went down, he looked at the guard and whispered, "Thank you." Then he climbed down with the rest of his family. The four made it down and started sneaking to the forest. They would've all been able to survive in the shallow parts of the forest as no strong monsters would stay there. Tears streamed down the faces of the parents as they had a mini-celebration that they escaped.
That was when a column of [Gravity Up]s appeared over them. The four looked up just in time to see a blazing ball rush down and consume them. Screams came from them and along with the light of the fire, it made an incredible attraction. Monsters from all along turned to see it but turned and ran away, knowing the danger of such an attack. Eodum was being held by Henry far into the air, "No one can leave."
The two flew off, searching the land for any other people trying to escape. They would've gone after the guard that let the family escape, but Sheila was already rotting his body away. Normally actions such as these would go against the naturally good natured goddess and her paladin, but for people who would've let their Baron die, despite how shitty he was, it seems there was an exception.
Night came, and Eodum, Henry, and Sheila were still hard at work; by the next day, it seemed anyone who was trying to escape and anyone who would've allowed an escape had been purged. The three could finally rest. Henry let out a sigh, "Finally! There were way too damn many people trying to escape."
"I know," Sheila agreed, "I don't even need sleep, but I wanna go into a coma."
"It's over now at least." Eodum chimed in. At least that was what they believed, but two large, armed forces were coming Nomed's way.
