"Hello Kali, we'd like to form a party!" Eodum said in the Adventurers' Guild. It stood there with Henry and Sheila right behind it.
Kali stood frozen for a second, before stammering out, "H-Hmm! Oh, y-yes! What would y-you like to name your p-party?"
The trio followed with silence. They hadn't really thought about it too much; they gathered into a huddle and began discussing options.
"Hmmm, how 'bout Gnos's Monsters?" Sheila suggested
Henry countered, "You're the only one who follows Gnos though."
"Shadow Party?" Eodum followed.
Henry similarly shot that one down, "You're the only one who uses shadows, and I feel that's a little too simple. Hmmm, how about Void Horse. A dark horse is someone who surpasses the low expectations of those around them, and we all have experience in the void. I feel it's fitting for us, yea?"
"Hmmm, alright. We'll be going with Void Horse. Any complaints, Eodum?" Sheila asked.
Eodum answered, "Nope."
"Alright! Hey, Kali," Henry called as he turned his head up to look at her, "We'll go with the name Void Horse!"
Kali nodded once before saying, "O-Okay then! Starting today, the silver ranked p-party, Void Horse, shall be c-created!" As she said that, a blue panel popped up in front of her. A secondary blue panel popped up, perpendicular to the original panel. She began typing into it, and closed it down. Kali looked back at the Void Horse, "A-Alright, your party is n-now official!"
"Great!" The members of Void Horse exclaimed as a group, "Wait… silver!?"
Kali waited until they finished doing a small celebration until she informed them, "Um, your r-rank has been boosted because of y-your help with Ksilisab: Henry, Dark Iron, Sheila, Silver, Eodum, Pure Silver. Also y-you might already know, but just in case you f-forgot, the rules w-work slightly differently in a party. As a s-solo hunter, you can take o-on any quests ranging from the l-lowest ranking to a single ranking above y-your own. For a party, you c-can take on quests ranked two t-times higher than your o-own."
"Great! Okay, thanks Kali." Eodum said with a pseudo-smile, "In that case, we would like to take on the hunting quests for the bamboo troll and the animated vine beast." Kali flinched at the sudden change in facial expressions. She nodded and typed and pulled up the blue panel. She waved goodbye to the Void Horse party as they walked down a straight path to the guild's door. Eodum looked over at the watching parties.
Many quickly averted their eyes, sweating buckets from just meeting eyes. A few fell out of their chairs and some gripped down hard on their weapons. One of them near the entrance of the guild was shaking in frustration and fear. He snapped and rose to his feet. He was a muscular man dressed in a loincloth made from a boar. He had a few straps keeping a breast plate stuck to his chest. He pulled his large war hammer from off his back, and pointed it at Eodum.
"Y-You! You couldn't possibly be as strong as people say you are. You're j-just a creepy, weak freak!" The man shouted as he swung his war hammer down at Eodum. Eodum raised its hand out in front of it; at the same time, shadows swirled around Eodum's arm. They were absorbed into Eodum's arm and made the upper right side of its body extremely muscular. In a near instant, the bulging muscles were condensed down into a slim form, and now Eodum's arm looked just the same.
The war hammer swung down and Eodum caught it with ease. Wind pressure exploded out from the impact of Eodum's arm and the war hammer. "Eep!" The muscular man squeaked out. With Eodum's cold, glowing white pupils trained on the man, Eodum gripped down and crushed the part of the war hammer it was holding. The man fell to the ground, and Eodum shifted its eyes to keep trained on the man. With that, soldiers barged through the door.
"P-Put your hands in the air!" A thin man with whisker-like facial hair hysterically shouted at Void Horse; the group of guards then pointed their spears at Void Horse.
Henry's glowing green, flaming eyes shifted towards the small platoon of guards and tried to reason, "Hold on now. This was clearly self-defense, you've got no reason to be pointing your weapons at us. If anything, you should be taking away this man, he's the criminal here."
"Sh-shut up! You'll b-b-be coming with u-us!" The hysterical man shouted.
Eodum looked at them and said, "Let's go."
"What!? Eodum, we did nothing wrong!" Henry shouted.
Sheila put her hand on Henry's shoulder, "No, Eodum's choice is for the best. We can get this all sorted out with the help of Delacs. In addition, what can these guards do against us?" As Sheila said that latter half, she let out a small laugh, and looked at the group of guards.
"Eek!" The whiskered man let out a small squeak as his weapon raised to point at Sheila, "P-Put your damn hands up!"
The Void Horse group put their hands up calmly. The entirety couldn't suppress a smile as the guards came at them. They let themselves be caught because they knew there were many ways for them to get out of this. The Void Horse party decided they would go with the legal way of sorting this out. The guards took the Void Horse party to the Department of Justice of Nomed.
The guards exchanged some words with a front desk person, and shortly after Delacs came walking down a flight of stairs. He was smoking a cigarette and smiling as he looked at the party, "Geez, not even a week? This is some record time! Aight, what happened?"
"Th-these miscreants started a fight in the Adventuers' Guild! I demand they be put to death immediately!!!" The weasel-like man exclaimed.
Delacs nodded with a serious look on his face, and then looked over at Eodum with a grin, "Okay, okay, now what really happened?"
"Big muscular man attacked me with a huge hammer. Destroyed his hammer." Eodum said with a grin.
Delacs once again nodded with a serious look on his face, but then turned up with a wide smile, "Aight, stand down boys. They're innocent."
"W-WHAT!? Sir, how can you trust the words of these things!? I demand they be put to death!!!" The weasley man started demanding hysterically. He then put his spear to Eodum's throat.
Delacs's smile disappeared as he glared at the man, "SGT. Tnedor! When I tell you to stand down, you stand down, understood!"
"Y-yes, MSGT. Rekoms!" SGT. Tnedor quickly lowered his weapon, and soon following was the group of guards.
A shit-eating-grin spread across the entirety of the Void Horse's members, and Eodum looked into Delacs's eyes, "Thanks, Delacs. Goodbye, for now!" With that Eodum waved goodbye once more as the Void Horse party walked out of the building. Alright, round two!
