Chapter 48 - A Rat and the Void

Eodum had blacked out from the intense migraine caused by the absorption of the void. The void was originally something never meant to be accessed, and even if it was, it was never intended to be implemented into one's self. The void was slightly alive, able to move to an extent and form the occasional thought. It sat alone with itself since before the universe was created. It was the dimension in between dimensions. It shouldn't be able to interact with other dimensions, and other dimensions shouldn't be able to interact with it.

This was supposed to be the case, until a certain rat decided to play around with it. The void had never seen anything besides itself, so this was extremely unusual for the void, it saw this rat, and felt somewhat connected with the rat. It learned of its life, of its companions, everything about it. To the void, this was the most excitement it ever felt.

Over the time of Eodum entering the void, the two slowly formed a bond. Only the void was aware of this, but Eodum could feel itself becoming more and more comfortable in the void. Then the battle with Ksilisab occurred. The void watched wanting to help Eodum, but unable to do anything. Then Eodum opened a portal. The void and Eodum suddenly felt drawn to each other because of [Tail Elemental Synergy].

The two felt drawn to each other, and for the first time the void tried interacting with the outside world. It reached out, wanting to come in contact with Eodum, and Eodum willed the void to do it with the power of [Tail Elemental Synergy]. Originally, this would only affect Eodum's tail, but the power of the void was something the SYSTEM couldn't handle. It had to create a new skill for Eodum just to make the things that were happening possible.

As soon as the skill [Void Body] was created, the void felt the bond between the two become stronger. It was sucked into Eodum; it felt itself being incorporated into every part of Eodum. The two were becoming one, but then the void felt Eodum lose consciousness. It knew that this was bad, as it was in the middle of a huge battle. The void knew it had to do something.

The skill [Accelerated Thoughts] turned off because of the lack of consciousness of the user, so the world sped up for Eodum and the void again. The void didn't have access to the skills Eodum had because it was a being from outside this world. It had to do something using its power. It did actually have access to a few skills, one of which was [Void Body]. As the void was one with Eodum's body, and made up half of it, it could force Eodum's body to shift to an extent.

This also meant that the void could move Eodum's body, so it did exactly that. It kept Eodum's body running, so it wouldn't get brutally murdered by Ksilisab. The void coarsed through every inch of Eodum, and had slowly begun to transform Eodum. The void had access to three elements, the shadows, Eodum, and itself, the same as the elements Eodum had access to when using [Tail Elemental Synergy].

They jumped to the air, high above Ksilisab, and used one of the other skills, the void access to [Void Entry]. It opened a portal in the air, which was now somehow able to move with Eodum. More and more the void reached out from to Eodum; it was trying to incorporate more of itself into Eodum. It was only able to pack in a little more since the skill was reaching its limit.

The void then transformed Eodum's body; Eodum's body grew to the size of a large pit bull. Its skin and fur rippled as it got darker. Spikes shot out of Eodum and just as quickly were reabsorbed. Eodum's tail began to grow in size and thickness, as its muscles swelled to triple their original size. Eodum's overall muscle mass doubled, and it looked much more dangerous and feral. Its claws grew to the size of kitchen knives and its tail blade grew in size and changed shape.

Eodum's tail blade grew grooves on the blade, making it jagged. It became sharper and it curved. Eodum's body became even more like the void, and no light could bounce off of its body. All energy of the electromagnetic spectrum was absorbed by Eodum' body, causing the area around it to cool down. Eodum's eyes turned pitch black with a white pupil as it glared at Ksilisab.

Ksilisab felt a cold shock run down its spine. Was this fear? How was this puny being making the great Ksilisab, a Royal of Kraude, afraid!? This was absurd!? This insolent creature must pay!!! Ksilisab's thoughts became further and further enraged, but the instinctual part of it was cowering and telling it to run. If a snake could sweat, Ksilisab would most certainly be creating an ocean.

The void did a similar attack as Eodum did, it changed its body into more of a saw-like shape, and spun down onto Ksilisab. Unlike the previous time, the void moved much faster, and Ksilisab's movements and thoughts felt dull. In addition, it was hard to focus on the void's body, and depth perception might as well just not exist. The void spun down and cut into the middle of Ksilsiab's mighty frame.

As the void spun, Ksilisab felt its body being ripped apart and cut through with ease. The void cut halfway through Ksilisab before its momentum stopped. It undid its transformation and hopped onto Ksilisab's back. Ksilisab tried to swat at the void with its tail, but the void reacted by shifting more of its mass into its claws and cutting off a large part of Ksilisab's tail. Ksilisab roared and hissed in pain as a piece of it was lost in the battle.

The void then jumped back into the deep cut it left in Ksilisab, and started shredding the middle of it. Deeper and deeper the void went into Ksilisab, clawing and digging into it. The void jumped a little into the air, and began to spin around in a vortex. The void's tail lashed out in the crater in Ksilisab's body. The tail made lacerations all over the meaty crater and partly on the scales outside of the crater. The void's tail was extended to three meters in length, as it focused its mass in its tail.

Lacerations covered the entire crater and a large area outside of it. Then, the void went back to digging out Ksilisab's body. The crater was so large that Ksilisab could no longer crush the void by tightening its muscles, it would only make it slightly harder for the void to dig into it. Ksilisab needed to do something about this, or else it would end up in two. Ksilisab started flailing around, rolling over, and ramming its side into the walls of Nomed.

The void kept itself inside of Ksilisab by shooting long spikes and needles out of its skin into Ksilisab. It kept itself in place and dug and dug and dug through Ksilisab. Finally, ot saw the light at the end of the tunnel, as a single powerful swipe of its claws fully separated Ksilisab into two. Both pieces flailed around after death, with the top half eventually laying still, looking at the void.

'How? How did this simple rat kill a Royal of Kraude?' That was when Ksilisab's eyes focused just a little harder on the void. Oh, that was why. It was fighting two beings, entwined in one. One with the ability to grow infinitely strong, and the other already infinitely strong. The eyes of the two looked down upon Ksilisab. White glowing pupils with the rest of the eye black. This thing was an infinite being of unimaginable power.

The void turned its head and faced the city. There it saw large crowds all watching the fight that went down. Then it saw guards racing towards it. Shit. Then it felt its consciousness and itself slipping away back to its main body, the void. SHIT!!!!!!!!
