… Wow. Eodum looked at its stats, and was quite happy with its stats. It also had 11 Sp and 20 Ap. Welp, time to put 10 Ap in luck. Why? Because why not! Then, Eodum split the Ap between agility and constitution. Eodum looked over its status and saw its new accomplishment, and it decided to check it out.

[Snakes' Bane]

[All skills and actions have increased effectiveness on reptiles. This goes double for any snake based creatures.]

Eodum saw this and thought it would be considerably useful. Of course, this was limited to reptiles, but it would still be useful. After Eodum finished focusing on that, it looked to its Sp. It had acquired quite the stockpile of Sp. It used 6 Sp to get [Translate], but it still had quite the considerable amount. Time to use them!

Eodum looked at its skill list, and looked at the more expensive skills. Eodum put in the price filter for 5 Sp and above. Oh, there was one!

[Accelerated Thoughts]

[Increases the processing power and speed of the mind. The world will be perceived at a slowed down rate when using the skill.]

[Cost: 6 Sp]

This skill would be quite useful! This increases the amount of time to react to anything. This increases the ability to survive when faced with a difficult to perceive attack. Bought! What else? Oh!

[Stealth Attack]

[All attacks performed from a position of stealth, will be boosted by 10%. When used, it will consume 5 St.]

[Cost: 5 Sp]

Oooooh! This was also quite nice! Eodum focused quite heavily on sneak attacks, so this would be a great asset. With this, Eodum would've done everything it needed to, and there was only one thing to do now. Done!

[Finalizing process]

Eodum looked around, and it seemed Henry and Sheila finished as well. The trio looked and saw the basilisk. Its body laid there, unmoving and extremely fucked up. Eodum was getting ready to pounce and scarf down the snake, but Sheila saw this and yelled, "WAIT!"

Eodum froze and asked, "Why?"

"My shield is broken and my armor is pretty messed up, but we might be able to make equipment with the basilisk. Most of the top rated gear is made of monsters." Sheila answered.

Henry joined, "Oh! If it's making equipment then I can help. I have many crafting skills."

Sheila responded, "That's great! Then could I ask for you to make me a tower shield and some foot wear for my left foot? In addition, I'm gonna need some armor repairs."

"Alright, I think I might be able to manage that. I'm gonna need your armor though, I got spare clothing." Henry said.

Sheila agreed, "Sure." At that, Henry reached into his [Storage] and grabbed some shorts and a shirt. He handed them to Sheila, and she went into the forest to change. She came out wearing the new clothing. Despite being an undead and rotting, she was surprisingly good looking. Though she wasn't quite Henry's type, he still took note of it. She handed over her armor, and Henry got to work.

He used his newly bought skill [Disassemble]. He skillfully started skinning a part of the basilisk with an iron knife from his [Storage]. It took him a little, but he eventually got a nice piece of it. He created a long, slightly curved, wooden board. He then attached some leather straps from his [Storage] to the inner part of the board. He cut the piece of skin to fit the front of the shield, and he laid the skin on the wooden shield.

Now comes the hard part. Henry walked over to a stump, and sat down. Then he retrieved two chunks of metal from his [Storage]. He placed the smaller one on the stump, and put the larger one on the ground. Then Henry created many balls of wood. He placed them down, and they burst into flames. He concentrated the flames into a ball in the air. The ball glowed a brilliant yellow, as Henry lowered the ball to the chunk of metal.

The ball engulfed the metal and after a while, Henry dispelled the ball. What was left was the chunk of metal glowing a bright yellowish orange. Henry picked it up with his bare hands, not taking damage as he is made of fire. He placed it on top of the metal on the stump, and pulled out a hammer from his [Storage]. Henry began hammering the metal, until it cooled down. He reheated the metal and proceeded hammering it. He continued this process until Henry made the desired shape.

Henry created a frame for the shield, and slowly lowered the now cool metal onto the skin covered shield. He rested it gently on it, and pulled some nails from his [Storage]. He hammered the frame through the skin and into the wood. When he finished hammering the nails, he heated the tips of the nails, and flattened them to the wood. This fully attached the frame, and helped keep everything in place. Henry then took out some metal mesh from his [Storage], and welded it to the frame.

With this, Henry finished the shield, so he put it aside. Henry's focus then went to the armor. The chest piece was badly damaged, and the left foot was nonexistent. Started forging a repair for the chest piece with some more metal. He then upgraded all of the armor with the scaled flesh of the basilisk. Henry then made a scaled sock out of the basilisk's flesh, and covered certain parts in metal. With that, he completed all his upgrades and repairs.

Henry then decided to make a little something for himself. Henry took a fang from the basilisk's maw, and sharpened it into a blade. Then he made a wooden handle, and fused the two with metal and wrappings made of the scaled flesh of the basilisk. Henry made himself a tough and sharp dagger. He then decided to make some equipment for Eodum.

Henry found himself stumped on how to make Eodum some equipment. Eodum relied on the shadows, and didn't really need anything else. In addition, it now had a shapeshifting body, so it couldn't wield something with a fixed size. That was when Henry had an idea. Eodum could manipulate its body, so why not make something to go inside of Eodum.

Henry removed one of the eyes of the basilisk. He took it, and remembered learning that some parts of a monster retained a skill after death. Oftenly, an eye related skill would remain in the eye. Henry forged two rings of metal, big enough to encompass the eye. He slid one ring over the other and placed the eye in the center of the two. He stuck a long metal rod through the rings and eye, then a second one.

Henry wrapped all the gaps in between the rings in scaled flesh, except the gap where the eye stared out of. He fastened the skin in place with nails with small fangs of the basilisk at the tip. The finished product was a spiked, scaly sphere with an eye staring out of it. Henry picked it up, and faced the item to the woods. He then fed mana to the item, and after consuming 15 Mp, the pupil widened. Then, the terrain began to be petrified.

Henry then handed the item over to Eodum and explained how to use it. He then told Eodum that he could store it inside of him by making a pocket in his body. Eodum was then warned about using it, it cost a decent amount of Mp and it didn't differentiate between friend and foe. Eodum nodded along with each word, and when he obtained the item, he stored it in himself.

Sheila and Eodum then began thanking Henry for the items, until they felt a presence. As soon as they did, arrows were shot right at Eodum, Sheila, and Henry.
