It was once again time for another battle. The trio just saw the basilisk show off its impressive power, and obviously they had to be wary. The snake slithered through the woods to face Sheila. When they had dodged, Sheila had gone to the right, but Henry and Eodum went to the left. The beast stared at her, and its pupils widened. Sheila had fought a Basilisk before, and immediately recognized this attack.
Sheila quickly sheathed her sword, pulled up her shield, and then summoned her [Holy Shield]. She covered most of her body with the shields. All of a sudden, everything in the snake's line of sight for 10 meters was turned to stone. Sheila felt the effects as she had failed to cover her left foot. She felt the armor turn to stone, and then felt it crumble to pieces. Luckily, the skill deactivated before Sheila's foot was turned to stone.
Sheila looked back and saw that the trees, leaves, grass, and a small rabbit had been turned to stone. Eodum and Henry had also seen the deadly effects of the basilisk's gaze. The basilisk looked a little dazed after using the skill, the snake must've been quite young. Eodum took advantage of the backlash of the ability the snake used and attacked. Eodum casted [Gravity Anchor], attaching the anchor to a tree.
The basilisk began to fall into the tree, and smashed through it. It continued to fall and tumbled across the ground after it left the [Gravity Anchor]'s area. It looked around confused, clearly it wasn't expecting to start falling in a random direction. While the basilisk was wondering as to what had happened, Henry began to use his new skill. Slowly a wooden ball began to form in his hand.
At the moment, this was the most he could do. It also seemed to use up both his St and Mp while making it. As this was one of Henry's creations, this also means that [Flaming Craftsman] activated. Henry created another ball in his left hand, and threw both of them at the basilisk. When thrown, each ball lit a flame. Henry knew that this wouldn't do much against the basilisk, so he used [Flame Control]. The fire began flowing from the balls, surrounding the basilisk.
The balls acted as a fire generator; the flames would generate from the balls until all the fire covering the ball was put out. The fire wrapped around the basilisk and the balls made contact with its hard scales. The balls hit the ground, but still continued to source fire. The basilisk looked towards Henry, and its pupils widened. Sheila saw this and cast [Divine Light]. As she cast the spell, she shouted to her comrades, "Close your eyes!"
Eodum and Henry followed the command and shut their eyes. A blinding light appeared before the snake, and the light forced the snake to turn its head. The basilisk's pupils shrunk, and it temporarily couldn't see. Time to take advantage of that. Sheila reacted first, she ran up and cast [Divine Smite] and [Divine Blessing]. She unsheathed her sword and ran at the monster; she struck the hard scales of the snake. She cut through the scales, though her attack was shallow and didn't deal any significant damage.
Eodum went next, it ran up to the basilisk and struck at the snake with [Distant Scratch]. It didn't do much or any damage at all. Eodum saw this and began transforming. It focused more of its body into its claws, and made them linger, tougher, and sharper. It struck out with them again, this time slicing into the snake. It was about half a meter in, so quite deep. Sheila had kept striking at the area she attacked before, gradually going deeper into the basilisk's flesh.
After about a solid 2 minutes of flame coming from the balls, they seemed to have finally exhausted all they could provide. Luckily, Henry had been prepared for this. He had generated some lumber behind him, so he took some of that wood and quickly started carving it up. He saw that his companions were keeping it busy, but the basilisk slowly started coming to. He finished carving the dagger, and sprinted at the snake. He slid on the ground, rolled to a crouching position, and stuck the dagger between the scales of the snake. He jumped back with a flip and started consuming the basilisk in flame.
The snake finally began to get up, and it started rampaging. It flung itself at Sheila at high speeds. Sheila raised her shield, combined with her [Holy Shield]. The snake crashed into it, and her feet scraped against the ground being pushed back. That was when her shield broke, and the snake slammed into her chest. She felt her ribs and armor crack, as she screamed in pain. The snake then turned its head towards Eodum.
Its eyes widened and Eodum recognized this. It shifted its body, creating a makeshift shield to block some of the damage. That shield turned to stone, but Eodum's main body survived. The petrified piece of it fell apart and Eodum heard a notice.

Eodum was immediately alarmed by this sudden influx of large damage. This was quite the severe damage; if Eodum hadn't made a shield out of its own body, it might've died. After the damage, shadows began to swarm back into Eodum's body, and its regeneration kicked in. Slowly, Eodum began regenerating, but it would take a while. In addition, it was slowly draining Eodum's St for its body to recover.
The basilisk looked over towards Henry and launched itself at him. Henry started rising into the air, but the basilisk hit his shins. He was sent spinning higher into the air, and he heard a notice in his head.
[You have suffered blunt damage -25 Hp]
He was dazed and dizzy in the air on the verge of vomiting. He looked back down at the basilisk, hatred in his eyes. He uses one of his spells, [Area of Ice], and begins freezing the snake in place. Eodum looks at the basilisk, and dashes over the ice. It ounces onto the snake, and focuses its shadows into its mouth. Eodum's mouth grows larger, the muscles become stronger, and the fangs grow. Eodum shut its mouth with much force, using [Crush].
The basilisk cried out in pain as it felt its flesh being crushed. It tried to flail about, trying to throw Eodum off, but it couldn't because it was frozen in place. Sheila looked at the basilisk, and tried out her new skill, [Rotting Aura]. Her aura began expanding outwards, turning foul and malign. She kept aware of her friends and made her aura stretch out as tentacles. It evaded her friends, but also was being stretched thin. She began walking forward, and the aura made it to the basilisk.
The basilisk began feeling tired and in pain, as part of its body started decaying. Its scales started flaking off, and the flesh under started rotting. It felt extremely worried at the rotting and sudden feeling of being lethargic. Eodum kept ripping into the flesh of the basilisk, Henry kept it frozen in place and began using [Frozen Rain], and Sheila kept up the [Rotting Aura] while using [Divine Curse].
After a while of shaving away at the Hp of the basilisk, it finally died. When the beast's head hit the ground, the trio heard a message.
