Chapter 9 - CHAPTER NINE

Drunk in lost II

The whole night, I couldn't help but watch Max. He danced around with as many girls he liked, lustfully staring at me as he provoked me.

My lips touched the glass as I took a big gulp from my drink, slamming the glass on the counter. The little booze I got made me feel encouraged and confident. If I hadn't drink, I probably wouldn't have done what I did next. I stood up from the chair, wobbling a little as I fixed my skirt and swayed my way towards them, yanking the girl away from him before I brought him down to me and crash our lips together.

He didn't pull away from me either, he had brought me in. Enjoying the moment as much as I did, forgetting about the girl he was dancing with to make me jealous.

Forcing myself to pull away, I managed to pull myself together. Damn, the kiss was hot and then some.

"Hey baby." I gritted out bitterly and tugged hard at his bottom lip before turning around with a smile on my face as I stared at the girl. "You have a girlfriend?" I stepped away as the girl stepped forward and slapped him across his face.

I snickered underneath my breath with gaped mouth and slapped a hand over my mouth to stop myself from laughing. "I'm so sorry, I didn't know he had a girlfriend." She apologized embarrass and scurried away from us into the crowd.

"Why did you do that?!" Max grabbed my upper arm and yanked me towards him as he glared hard at me, our bodies inches from each other. "Because I want to, and I can." I just shrugged my shoulders and grinned at him from ear to ear. "Two can play that game." Before I could open my mouth to say something, he crashed our lips together in a heated kiss.

My mind totally fogged and lost in the moment, my arms lifting to wrap around his neck as he pulled us closer, closing the gap between us.

I didn't know if it was the alcohol speaking, my body or both but I just couldn't pull away from the kiss.

He had trapped me into my own game, a game I knew very well that I couldn't escape from. I knew what we both had and what we both desired since it happened the first time. We were craving each other for years and I was tempting fate.

In the moment, nothing else mattered. The crowd around us disappeared as we give into our deepest desire. "Tell me to stop." I shook my head breathlessly as I kissed his back, my fingers tangled in his hair as our mouth moved heatedly against each other, his tongue caressing mine.

"Alexandra?" A voice said behind us, and I pushed Max away, whirling around to see Jaden standing there. "Why are you kissing him?" He frowned down at me, and I bit my bottom lip nervously without knowing what to say.

I turned around to glare at Max who smirked at me and did a mini salute at me before he stepped back, turning around as he disappeared through the crowd.

He did that on purpose, knowing very well that he was standing there. I groaned, "Jaden wait!" I glanced at Max before rushing towards Jaden who walked away.

"Hey! He was the one who kissed me, and I kissed him back. I am sorry okay. I don't want to hurt you or for you to get the impression that I want something more than a friendship with you." He looked at me hurt and I felt bad for him. "I know, but I thought that you could give me a chance."

"I'm sorry, with us being wolves we can't do that, it won't work. I'm sure you'll find someone else." I stepped forward and tiptoed, giving him a kiss on his cheek before sighing and walked past him. "Can we at least stay friends?" He offered me a solution and as much as I felt it in my guts to say no, I couldn't.

I felt guilty, he seems like a great guy and here I was, crazy in love with someone who was toying with my feelings.

Closing my eyes briefly, my heels turned around to face him as I offered him a short smile before nodding my head yes. "Thank you." He smiled sadly at me, and I turned around, going to find the girls.

"Where have you been?"

"You guys won't believe what happened to me." Letting out a deep breath, I rested my back on the bar – staring ahead.

"What? Where is lover boy?" Zoe asked as she grabbed her drink and took a sip. "Want one?" She asked me and I nodded my head, watching as she ordered another drink. "He found me kissing someone and he got mad, I told him I only wanted to be friends." I partially told them what happened. leaving Max name out of it and sighed deeply, this story is worse than a novel.

"Aw, it's for the best though. Starting a relationship is not the best idea, seeing that you still have unfinished business with Max." Chloe winked at me, and I cleared my throat, sipping from my drink instead.

"Oh my God! I love that song!" We squealed loudly, drink in hand; we headed towards the dance floor as the beat of cool for the summer dropped. We stood in the middle of the dance floor and swayed our bodies from side to side, jumping to the beat, drink in hand. I ran my hands through my hair, ruffling them as I whirled around, swaying my hips provocative.

I turned to Zoe as we sang on top of our lungs, hands in the air as we stood back-to-back – our asses grinding against each other.

"Hey guys." Anderson and Adrian appeared on the dance floor, smirking at us. I scoffed at them as they made their way towards Zoe and Chloe, leaving me to be the third wheel or was it fifth wheel?

I took that as my cue to leave and danced somewhere else on my own. The beat dropped and the keyboard beat solo started to play. The song turned sensually slow, my body flew on its own from side to side, my head tilting back as I swayed.

I moved my palms down my face and lingered my fingers on my lips, parting them slightly as I turned high by the music coursing through my veins.

I danced around like crazy, body moving without control. I opened my mouth to sing along, my hands ruffling my hair as I shook my head from side to side in sync with my hips. I was definitely drunk. "What are you doing dancing like that?" I rubbed my temples and groaned when he dragged me away from the dance floor. "Hey! I was having fun there." I pouted before giggling without a reason, whoops, I guess I drank too much.

He widened his eyes before he looked at me furiously. "You're drunk?! Do you know how long it takes for a werewolf to get drunk?!" It was my turn to roll my eyes at him. "No shit Sherlock. And I didn't drink that much. Just a tiny bit." I closed one eye as I showed him how much I drank, laughing uncontrollably.

He was about to open his mouth to scold me when I turned around and walked away. "Alexandra!" He yelled my name from behind me, but I was already scurrying into the crowd of people. I looked for the girls around the club, but I couldn't find them anywhere. I huffed and ran my hands through my hair.

What am I going to do now? "Looking for your dates." I shivered as Max lips murmured against my ear. How? He? Oh, forget it! I turned around and gasped at how close Max and I were, leaning my head back. "No. I know where they are." I glared at him with my arms crossed.

He gave me a cocky grin and leaned forward. "Are you sure about that?" Wasn't he angry at me just minutes ago for being 'drunk'? I leaned back as I pinned my lips in a thin line. "Hundred." I rolled my eyes. "So, if you excuse me. I need to go to my dates so see ya." I faked smile and passed next to him, bumping our shoulders together.

I heard him chuckled loudly before a hand grabbed me by my upper arm, making me stop. "Not so fast princess." I huffed and turned around annoyed. "Can you leave me alone for a second? I'm here with a date, so do you while I do me!" I shouted at him, getting attention from all the people in the club.

Yep, drunk and loud. This couldn't get worse and no; I'm not jinxing it.

Max shot them a glare, and everyone turned back around, minding their own business. "Just leave me alone Max." I snapped at him, walking in another direction. "Hello everyone! You're having a good time!" The DJ yelled in the microphone. The crowd cheered and whistled at the DJ. "Okay, okay. You guys are pumped! Let's get this party started." He shouted before playing a song.

I screamed when my song came on. Bumpy ride by Mohombi. Oh my God. I can't believe he played that old song.

I dragged a random guy on the dance floor and grinded on him, my hips moved like they just don't seem to care. He looked confused for a moment before he got the hint and put his hands on my hips, moving to the beat. He ran his hands down my body and cupped my ass.

I was in heaven; I just wanted to have fun and just get my mind off a certain wolf that was way too much on my mind lately.

I turned around to face him, our bodies humping each other as we danced to the hardcore beat. Our bodies rocking back and forth, as I bit down my bottom lip. The song dropping low as we grinded slowly, building up the tension.

I won't lie. He was a very good dancer. "If I were you, I better watch it." A voice growled behind us, and the guy suddenly disappeared from behind me, and Max was in his place, caging my body in between his and the club walls.

"You're playing with fire Alexandra, and I reached my limit." He snarled loudly at me, making me flinch. I turned my head to the side and closed my eyes. "I was just having fun thank you very much." I barked back, opening my eyes as I tried to pass him, but he pushed me more against the wall.

"Just having fun? You're dancing and grinding with the guy on purpose just to make me jealous." He barked lowly, cornering me against the wall with both arms. "Awe, boo-boo? Do you want to dance upon me too?" I patted his face with a laugh, making him growl in annoyance.

I scoffed, shaking my head as I crossed my arms, "Please, I have better things to do than make you jealous." I pushed him away, but he didn't bulge. "Can you move please?" I gritted between my teeth.

He gave me a killer look before pushing himself away from me. I scoffed at him before stalking away fuming. "Hey babe, what can I get you?" The bartender I flirted with earlier asked me as soon as I came into the view.

"The same one please and make it a double." I gave him a wink and rolled my eyes when he wasn't looking. Men! I whirled in my chair, waiting for the bartender to return. A pair of golden eyes caught my attention, and I whirled back around quickly before he could see me.

The bartender appeared with my drink, and I hurried up and scurried in between the crowd with my drink in my hand. I could feel him trailing behind me, so I quickened my pace. "You know better not to piss me off Alexandra." His voice taunted from behind me, and I threw my middle finger at him from behind my back and I heard him chuckle.

"Really mature Alexandra." I mocked him to myself as I hurried my pace, ducking and pushing people out of my way. "You asked for it." I heard him say before a hand grabbed me and dragged me out of the club roughly.

"Let go of me! Who do you think you are to drag me like that out of the club?" I screamed out at him, flailing my arms around as I put out a fight.

"You are attracting unwanted attention to yourself. Don't make me carry you on my shoulder." That asshole, I wish he would. "I'd like to see you try bitch!" I yelped when he picked me up from the floor and threw me over his shoulder. "I just did so what?"

"Put me back down Max! I am not playing." I argued back with him, my hand holding down my skirt as we stepped out of the club – eyes on us as if we were just some freaky couple when in fact this asshole was kidnapping me or better yet, taking me against my will.

"I can feel blood rushing up my head asshole, can you put me down!" He completely ignored my request, his strides long and firm as he made his way towards his car. "I will not go with you, if you think that I will get in that car with you, you are clearly crazy and out of your damn mind!"

I staggered back on my heels, a rough hand through my hair as I glared at him once my feet landed on the ground, "I don't know what you want from me, one moment you hate me: another you're acting all jealous and crazy – confusing the fuck out of me. Let me live my life please! Stay out of my business. I want to get drunk and get you out of my damn head!"

Watching my retreating back entering the club, Max didn't stop me from walking away this time. Getting myself another drink to boost my body, I slid my way through the crowd as I made my way towards the dance floor. The only thing I remember was jumping around like crazy, neon lights on me as I got lost in music. My head was on cloud nine, nothing was bothering me like it usually did, and I felt amazing.

I wanted to forget, I wanted to forget that I fell in love with someone who wasn't my mate, for giving in to someone who wasn't my mate and for still being completely in love with that person. I've been in denial for so many years, I tried to fight it off so many times but its bigger than my will to fight it. What we had, what we still have, is dragging me down every single day.

We still have unfinished business, but I didn't want to open that wound again, it was too deep. I'd rather drink myself away to accept that I wanted to be with him at all costs, no matter what happens.

"That's enough, drinking away won't get me out of your head if we don't fix the problem. So, you either come with me or I will take you again against your will, and this time. I will not stop myself." Taking a deep breath, all what was left for me to do was nod my head yes.

I could never move on if we don't fix the problem, but I know what fixing the problem might do to the both of us.
