Chapter 6 - Awkward slience

The next day, Abigail arose with the sun, eager to seize every moment. She briskly completed her morning rituals, meticulously attending to every detail, ensuring nothing was overlooked. With her determination ablaze, she dressed with purpose, ready to conquer the day ahead.

As Abigail adorned herself in a sleek black off-shoulder jumpsuit, adorned with a glistening golden belt cinching her waist, she radiated elegance and allure. Every curve of her body was accentuated flawlessly by the tailored fabric, while simple shimmering jewels adorned her neckline, catching the light with every movement. Her silk black hair was expertly styled into a chic ponytail, framing her stunning face adorned with subtle makeup that highlighted her natural beauty. With diamond studs gracing her ears and a delicate chain around her neck, she exuded sophistication. Completing her ensemble with a touch of lip gloss, she gracefully swung her gold cross bag over her shoulder, ready to captivate the world with her undeniable charm and confidence. Anyone who crossed her path couldn't help but be enchanted by her magnetic presence, as if she were stepping into a rendezvous with destiny itself.

She deliberately dressed in this manner because she had taken note of the company's dress code and the attire of the employees the previous day and as the boss's personal assistant, she felt it was essential to present herself professionally and make a good impression.

Stepping out of her apartment, Abigail gracefully entered a waiting taxi, the sleek vehicle whisking her away into the bustling city streets. As she settled into the plush seat, her presence commanded attention, a vision of sophistication and poise against the backdrop of urban life. With each passing moment, she exuded an aura of confidence and allure, leaving an indelible impression on all who crossed her path.

Exiting the taxi, Abigail stood before the renowned company that held the dreams of many in its grasp, a beacon of success and opportunity in the bustling cityscape. With a deep breath, she steeled herself for the challenges and possibilities that lay ahead, her determination unwavering as she stepped closer to the threshold of her aspirations.

With a silent prayer on her lips, Abigail sought inner strength, calling upon the guidance of her own resolve. As she drew in one final steadying breath, she summoned the courage to step forward into the unknown, each footfall a testament to her resilience and determination. Though her heart may flutter with apprehension, she pressed on, fueled by the hope and faith that whispered within her soul.

As Abigail entered the company's lobby, she felt the weight of curious gazes upon her, like piercing lasers scanning her every move. Undeterred by the scrutiny, she maintained her composure and focused on her purpose, determined not to let the judgment of others sway her. With resolve in her step, she approached the secretary's desk, ready to embark on her journey, undaunted by the initial reception.

"Good morning, madam. Our esteemed boss has been eagerly anticipating your arrival," the secretary remarked with a polite smile, her tone laced with a hint of deference. With practiced efficiency, she reached for the telephone, her slender fingers dialing the number with precision. After three deliberate rings, a voice answered on the other end, setting the wheels of anticipation into motion. Abigail nodded graciously, acknowledging the secretary's assistance, her heart fluttering with a mix of nervous excitement and quiet determination. This moment, she knew, marked the threshold of a new chapter in her life, one filled with boundless potential and opportunity.

"Hello sir she has arrived" the secretary informed "okay give me some second" said the manager , you may have your sit ma he will be here soon" she noted, and as abigail was about to sit the elevator door spilt open revealing a handsome fair tall guy looking so breath taking he was putting on a fine cut tailored pink suit his hair was also dyed in a shade of light pink and was perfectly shaped, his hair cut look so perfect on him his pleasant smile make him look more gorgeous.

"His smile is so pleasant, unlike that creepy beast," Abigail thought to herself, her mind briefly wandering to someone from her past whose memory still sent shivers down her spine. Despite the contrast, she refocused her attention on the present moment.

"Why am I even thinking about that fool?" Abigail scolded herself inwardly, straightening her posture as she prepared to greet the manager. Determined to banish any lingering thoughts of the past, she focused on the task at hand, ready to engage with professionalism and confidence.

"Hi, so you're Miss Abigail? It's nice meeting you. I'm Dylan, the manager of this company," Dylan introduced warmly, extending his hand for a handshake. Abigail reciprocated the gesture, her own hand meeting his in a firm shake. "Yes, I'm Abigail. It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr Dylan," she replied with a friendly smile, feeling a sense of ease settle over her in his welcoming presence.

"Let's go, the boss is expecting you," Dylan informed as he led her towards the elevator. Abigail's heart skipped a beat as they stepped inside, her body tensing at the sight of the glass floor beneath them, revealing the dizzying depths below. Despite her fear, she maintained her composure, determined not to let her unease show as they ascended towards their destination.

Abigail's mind raced with fear as she screamed inwardly, "Oh Jesus! What the hell is this?" Her bones shook with apprehension, refusing to dare a glance downward. Sensing her unease, Dylan turned to her and said reassuringly,

"Don't be scared, Miss. We are safe in here, nothing will go wrong," Dylan comforted her, his voice calm and reassuring. Abigail nodded in response, offering a slightly awkward smile as she attempted to maintain her composure, grateful for his words of reassurance amidst her inner turmoil.

The elevator door finally opened after spending a few minutes of awkward Silence in both fear and frustration in the elevator.

As Abigail was led to the grand golden door, it split open effortlessly when Dylan slid his ID card on the scanner, revealing a magnificently luxurious office beyond imagination. The opulent space was adorned with various beautiful art sculptures and paintings, while a perfectly fitting mini chandelier illuminated the room with a soft glow. However, amidst the grandeur, what truly captured Abigail's attention was the tall, well-built figure standing at the far end of the room, his back turned towards them. He was dressed impeccably in a sleek blue-black suit that hugged his form perfectly, one hand casually tucked in his pocket while the other navigated his phone with practiced ease.

"Boss she is here" Dylan said and as if in slow motion the man turned around making abigail shocked and speechless at the same time, the man just smirked at the speechless girl in front of him giving her that smile that always says 'Run For Your Life'

"D-d-d-dymon". she called, staring at him with wide eyes
