Leo: "Or maybe you are just dumb "
Damn,. Did you hear that,, he didn't just say that,, This new boy got some nerves... She actually deserves it,,, I'm sure she didn't do that on purpose,,, who the hell does lily even think she is,,, He was actually the one at fault,, who cares
Okay... I never knew the hall way could get this filled up easily. All eyes were on us.... No on me actually. Smug looks, satisfaction disappointment , hatred, anger and even those that didn't want me to take shit. The side comments were just upsetting me and making me want to puke , because are this people blind....
Didn't they see what actually happened, or maybe they are actually the dumb ones here. In fact I never even knew I had haters, not until now at least.
And back to this ..,...ok let me not use any curse words, my mum thought me better. How could this guy call me dumb, like how dare he, when he actually knows it's a mistake.
So literally this was what happened, I arrived school a bit late, all thanks to Janie. I had to bring my meal to school because I didn't want to get more late. Our first class for the day was actually biology but miss Suzy hadn't arrived yet so I decided to feed my stomach.
After eating I decided to go check on miss Suzy. On my way, I collided with a body..... Noooo.... He actually hit me...our royal highness was pressing his phone and wasn't looking. His book fell down and for some seconds he just stood there staring at me.
I picked the book gave it to him and apologised knowing fully well he wasn't ready to do it... Most people in class actually saw what happened, so I don't really know why they were still throwing such ill comments. I don't really care right now, but what I know is that I am not gonna let this guy shit on me and ruin my reputation
He was at fault, but I still thought it right to pick his book and apologize and all he could do was call me dumb.. If he thinks he is going to get away with it, then he is joking
"Wait ,,,,did you just call me dumb"
"Aren't you"
"Maybe you are the one that is dumb, Leonard"
Ohhh no.... She is digging her grave.... Leo don't let her talk to you like that,,....
The crowd was literally falling apart at this point, sounds of gasps filled the air. I could sense anticipation, shock and amusement. Everyone wanted to see how far we would go. But I just didn't care, I had to make him realise I am not one of those he can walk on..it is now or never
I shifted my gaze back to him, he actually looked genuinely shocked, surprised someone could talk to him that way..... Ooops what a joke
"Do you know who you are talking to , Linda"
"My name is Lilian not Linda" I snapped back
"You've got some nerves girl"
"Exactly so next time watch where you are going and don't just go around insulting everybody. Have some dignity and a little sense of respect...His royal highness"
With that I walked away, not minding his eyes boring through my back and the whispers around.
I couldn't believe my day would start with such a terrible incident.
After the third class of the day Janie decided to speak about the morning incident.... I knew she would anyway, just wondering what took her so long to actually bring it up
"Lily
"Yes Janie
"I really don't wanna admit to this, but I think you were right,,, like who does he even think he is... I am only in love with his physical appearance but his character actually stinks,,, Today is his second day here and he is already feeling like a mini god."
I stared at her blankly at this point . Because this was the same girl that was ready to beat me up last night if I had, as much as, said any tiny bit of negative stuff about that smug.
"Lily he really wanted to talk down on you. I'm glad you actually put him in his place"
"At least he now knows not to mess with me"
We both laughed but then I had to stop in halfway to stare at the pair of eyes in front of me
I was startled because I didn't even see him coming, I wasn't expecting him. I stared at him wanting to say something but he beat me to it.
"I'm unto you " he mouthed
I was speechless, not because I didn't know what to say. I was actually speechless because of his eyes that settled on me. I felt like he was staring into my soul. It was quite intimidating , I wanted to say something, I knew I had to say something, but the words were not just forming
I know I was very confident few hours back but this time, with him this close, I couldn't help but break down. I never knew how intimidating and dangerous he could look. I never knew he exhaled a very powerful aura, not until now, not until this moment when his face is just few inches from mine and his eyes screaming to me to protect myself from its owner. At some point his eyes looked deadly it was daring me to say something, it was mocking me at the same time. It was like I fueled something in him, like I was the one that did wrong. Like it would be a long journey, a long fight, I really wasn't ready for.
I sat there staring at him while he stormed off.
"Lily breath" Janie said
It was then I realised I actually choked on my breath, I actually released the breath I never knew I was holding.
I turned to check if people were watching and as expected, they actually were. Such a perfect timing for him to confront me, such an asshole. I had to straighten up and look like I wasn't affected because I truly wouldn't want anyone to see me as weak and defeated
He wants a fight.... Let's have it then
