"Amazing… Working with others makes the battle easier, huh?!" said Clover with mouth agape.
He had been fighting in solitary and believed this method was more practical, but personally seeing a group of people battling with their trust and coordination with each other, he couldn't help but think twice.
While Clover was analyzing the battle earlier.
On the battlefield, a man holding the hammer placed the hammer inverted on the ground, while he rested his arm on its butt. He was watching the scene before him with an amused expression on his face.
The black leopard had long stopped moving, with its face and stomach facing upwards, the grotesque appearance of its body getting explode into many pieces was rather eye catchy, causing some people in the group who caught a glimpse couldn't help but feel nauseous.
However, the man who was near to its body was even indulging himself with satisfaction whenever he remembered the body of the leopard getting wrecked because of his smash. This man was Vincent, and he was the leader of Hunter's group.
"Was it so satisfying, Vincent?"
A man leaped to the ground while he grabbed the belt resting on his torso, causing the long barrel sniper connected to the belt to slide towards his back. Together with a wooden arrow, and a sniper on his back, even a toddler would know that he specializes in ranger.
"Was it not, Nicholas? You should be, after all, you hit his eye with just one shot," replied Vincent without turning his back.
"A relief, maybe? After all, I don't have to waste more bullets, you should know that we are facing the crisis of the loss of Ammunition lately," responded Nicholas while he reminded something to Vincent.
"Forget about it. This is why I wanted all of you to stop relying upon guns and use the combat weapons made by our people. You should know the effort of our people making them," He announced while he turned his back to face his fellow hunters.
Most of them lowered their head in shame since many of them fired their guns. The combat weapon they took out earlier seems only for the show, the moment they saw the black leopard dashing towards them with incredible speed, they immediately fired their guns without thinking.
Vincent continued: "In addition, the use of the guns could be heard throughout the forest, and would help the beast with sensitivity in hearing locate us. Do you want to face beast invasion again? You should know how many times we are facing this problem.
Sun was just about to rise, and yet we already face this monster that could annihilate our human settlement if we let it roam just for a minute!"
His terrifying statements, along with his agitated voice when he came to his last announcement, affected the people, which caused them to feel afraid as well.
"Stop scaring them, Vincent. That's why we have this job because we must protect the human settlement," Nicholas argued, causing the people to heave a sigh of relief.
How could they forget the reason why they picked this job? Free clothing, free lodging, free food that many people couldn't afford, and everything that people with no job envied.
In addition, they have stayed in the human settlement for over a month now, and it was natural for them to find their soul mate. This was also one of the problems the human settlement faced since man after man fought to have the approval of the heart of a single woman.
"That's why Facts were called biased even in the modern age. It's hard to accept the fact, but fact filled with lies was more acceptable. But being straightforward and blunt is more beneficial to them." Vincent snorted.
"Yeah, but then again. As a leader, you should have the charisma to increase the morale of your people. Your method is wrong no matter how I see it." Nicholas shrugged.
"It's not my fault that I'm stronger in every one of us," Vincent scoffed.
"Sigh, that's very you, Vincent. If your answer was not something like that, then I would think that there's something wrong with your head." Nicholas made his way to the black leopard's corpse.
Seeing that Nicholas mocked his personality, and even ignored him right after he passed by him. Vincent couldn't help but feel angry, but with a snort, he forgot about it and walked toward the other hunters.
"Damn, this body sure is tough!" Nicholas exclaimed after he pinched the body of the carcass.
"Hmm… I guess the knife made by the rabbit horn as a material is sufficed in slicing its body." He then turned back his head and called someone on the group.
"Take out your knife and try cutting this body," Nicholas instructed and patted his hand on the back of the man.
The man took out the knife on his waist while his hand fidgeting. He was afraid of the presence of a man that become a cultivator. Although among the people who became a hunter not many of them reached the initial stage as announced by their chief to become a hunter. But their experience before this ordeal shows that they were enough to be a cannon fodder.
But him… He was only a porter of the hunters, which assisted them with miscellaneous items and stored them in a bag made of some kind of leather.
After dumbly realizing that the man he gave the task of cutting a hard material didn't even reach the initial stage, he immediately asked for his weapon.
"Let me try," Nicholas said with a soft voice, causing the fidgeting man to calm down.
After cutting the black fur, he immediately cut the tender muscles, which it was sliced cleanly from the sharpness of the knife.
"Open your bag," He requested after grasping the meat with his hand.
"Yes, Sir!"
He took out the bag and open it to which Nicholas threw the meat inside. Nicholas suddenly opens his eyes wide, and he seems to realize something.
"Try cutting the meat."
"Yes, Sir!"
Grabbing hold of the knife he immediately perform what he was instructed to him.
Slice!
The tender meat was cut like tofu, causing the man to gape in astonishment. Although slight blood came out from it, the fact he cleanly cut the meat made him think that he had the same power as the revered man beside him.
"That's nice! Continue doing that while we guarded you." Nicholas beamed a smile, causing the man to feel delight.
