Chapter 9 - Training (2)

Somewhere in the South Continent, a cloud of smoke could be seen coming out. In it, were two people eating the fish that was pierced by a stick.

Then the young man picked up the Container leaves, inside, was warm water from the river that was boiled to be purified.

"Hah. This warm water tastes disgusting." Clover complained.

The water looks clean but warm. Clover was used to drinking at normal– cold temperature, and thus when he drank the warmed water, it felt disgusting.

Morgan ignored him, as he picked up the container leaves after Clover put them. He then drank it without feeling disgusted, or he doesn't show it at all.

"Hurry up and finish eating, we're going to continue later on." He then stood up and put the Container where it belonged. He walks and takes his shirt out and sits – then meditate.

…..

5 minutes after, Clover, sat up and walked to Morgan who was still meditating.

Clover was already near Morgan, he was staring at him menacingly.

'Can I kill him?' Clover thought. He was already near Morgan, seeing Morgan unguarded, he thought he could kill him with that.

'With this distance and being unguarded, I wonder how to attack him.'

!!!

When his thoughts came to this, his hair suddenly stood its end. He was trembling while at the same time his back was full of sweat.

Several images flash in his mind. What was happening in that image was his death!

'I can't kill him at all! And it's been 30 seconds, I've stood here,

But why would I think I already died 18 times, in 6 different ways?'

Clover was alarmed.

When he thinks about how to attack him, several images flash into his mind. Those images were when he was about to attack, but was countered to death in one move, and not all about that, even when he was standing, he was already dead.

He couldn't help but feel helpless when he saw that image. The feeling of death is terrifying...

.…..

Morgan who was meditating knew already that Clover was in front of him. He didn't react or stand up in any way. He was waiting for him to think that he left his guard down, and was ready to be killed like a hopeless pig.

Thus, he was already thinking of, what moves and how many times Clover could be killed while he was attacking and while he was standing.

Reaching the conclusion, by the time Clover standing before him, 30 seconds pass by, and he has already killed him 18 times in 6 different ways.

Noticing that Clover was already trembling from the killing intent he emitted, he stood up and interrupted his thoughts.

"Let's go, I will teach you how to control your body. This objective is to sync your body and mind. Knowing your body with your mind is a very satisfying achievement you will achieve. Let's go!"

With one more bellowed, Clover snapped out of his thoughts and followed Morgan.

…..

Morgan stood before the thickest trunk of the tree. The space surroundings it was very spacious, as it has a 50-meter space to the east. As for the other direction, some trees surround it, and thus it was not wide enough.

Morgan unsheathed his machete from his waist. He doesn't have a scabbard, so he uses his sash to be his scabbard.

Scribble Scribble

His machete which was already dull enough as it was always been used for miscellaneous things, used it to draw something on the tree.

He was creating a meter radius circle, with a little tiny dot in the middle. After that, he sheathed his machete and walked to Clover, who had an inkling of what was going to happen.

He moved to the side as he was straight to the circle. Then Morgan stopped after thinking that it was already 10 meters away from him, so he looked for the stick near him and picked it up.

He drew a line where Clover stood before and looked at him.

"You should already know what to do, go! Pick a lot of stones and gather them here. You only have 5 minutes to do it!" Morgan roared in a commanding tone. As if he was an instructor in the Combat department giving orders to those probationary.

Clover, of course, ran and gathered all the stones without being disobedient. His face was serious, and doesn't have a hint of mischievousness could be seen.

Seeing this, Morgan was satisfied. He didn't like kids, as most of them were very spoiled, and would always complain and be mischievous whenever they wanted. They even don't care if their observer sees it.

…..

5 minutes after, Clover drop all the stones he gathers while panting.

Most of the stones had been found at the riverside. So he ran 100 meters every time until he completely gathered the stones with his shirt.

As Clover tried to catch his breath, Morgan counted the stones he gathered. Totally, it was fifty-four stones.

'Not bad,' He thought.

"Okay, try to catch your breath while I show you, what you can achieve by controlling your body." He then picks a stone and then throws it at the target sign he made from the trunk.

Swoosh Bang crumble

The stone, after hitting the little tiny dot on the target sign, disintegrated into ashes after leaving a mark.

'What power. What speed. What accuracy.' Clover thought as he was astonished by what Morgan did.

"After you fully control your body, you can achieve that, without feeling any discomfort or ache from your body," Morgan said without feeling smug. His face was serious as ever as if it was natural to perform it.

Clover then picks the rock with enthusiasm. He wondered if he could ever throw a stone just like Morgan did. Not even the stone debris survived, as it was disintegrated to ashes.

Swoosh.

The stone didn't hit the target sign, much worse, his stone didn't even hit the trunk.

Shocked, Clover tried again after picking a stone near him.

Swoosh Hit

It hit the trunk but a long way from the target sign. Clover still wanted to try, but he felt a slight ache on his shoulder.

He was using his full power whenever he threw, straining his shoulder.

Seeing Clover didn't make any attempt for he was massaging his shoulder to lessen the pain.

Morgan walk to him and pick up the stone.

"The reason you didn't hit the target sign, is that your body and mind don't understand each other. Do you know why?"

Morgan then throws the stone, hitting the little tiny dot drawn in the trunk.

"Your mind tells your body to do things based on its perspective. While your body obviously obeys your mind. But why can't your body perform its task perfectly?" He looked at Clover and continued.

"It's because your mind doesn't understand your body, while your body just follows the order, but doesn't even know if it can execute the task"

As clover contemplated what he meant. Morgan continued.

"Let's take what you are doing as an example. Your mind wants to hit the desired target, so it orders your body to perform it, and your body follows the order, expectedly.

This is what your mind neglect. Your body is your mind, while your mind is your body. So the mind first must know if its body can perform the task perfectly. If not, as a brain, it must create a path for the body to execute it perfectly."

Morgan was about to continue when Clover suddenly interrupted him and said.

"And as a holder of a brain, the problem lies on me?" Clover shows an enlightened and amused expression.
