'Of course he won't, but what other option does he have.' I said because if he refuses to give me the core, he will die here.

"Is that how a king should think?" I asked because does a keepsake from his ancestor really matter when compared with the lives of hundred thousands of beasts.

I attempted to make him emotional by reminding him about his peoples, but from his reply, I knew he wouldn't move and thus presented him the bait merlin has shown me.
"With this beast core, I will provide you a replica of your ancestral beast core, which you can show to your father and future generations, even if someone find-out later that the core is fudge, you can put the blame on your elder brother." I said waving the rank 9 beast core in front of his face.
It was a special poison affinity beast core of the descendants of ancient beast god and perfect bait for this bagger prince.
"But ancestors last wish…" He tried to say something but I cut him in.
"What do you think your ancestors would have done at a time like this?" I asked and if I had been in his ancestors place, I would have killed my descendants with my own hands before they could abuse my core.

He agreed but suddenly a thunder bolt fell from the sky trying to hit the snake's head but with mana control I changed its trajectory to the nearby tree.
Damn his ancestors are angry but they can't do shit to him until I have got the core.
"What was that?" The beast asked frightened.
"I forgot to disperse the clouds in the sky, it was just a random thunderbolt no need to panic." I looked at his face which seemed troubled but before he could change his decision, I threw the beast core at him letting his greed take over his rational thought process.
Staring at the beast core with puppy like eyes, he looked at me once again and asked.
"Is that all you need?"
"Of course not, I want you to provide me 1,000 beast cores of rank 4 to rank 8 beasts every month for next 2 years." I said because in next 2 year, I plan to completely merge with dragon king Noob's consciousness.
Once I have merged with dragon king Noob's consciousness I will be able to hunt higher ranked demon and humans from that assassination list merlin has kept.
"That much I can do." Contrary to my expectation, he agreed without much resistance.
'Was I too modest just now?' I asked merlin.
'I think they already have beast cores reserve.' Merlin said.
"Is that all?" The beast asked me.
"I will let you know if I want anything else later, for now increase your strength and let's go to your kingdom." I said.
There were two reasons, I had given him beast core after consulting the merlin.
First was definitely to rope him in for giving me his ancestor's beast core.
Second reason was because due to hiding for more than a year in this wilderness, he has become coward and as per merlin's standard he was too weak from the standard of a rank 7 beast.
Therefore this beast core would give him the strength he needs and help him evolve into a rank 8 beast if he has the potential.
Beast also had the ability to evolve in this world, but for that to happen they have to eat the beast cores similar to their kind, therefore I have given him a rank 9 beast core which cost me 70,000 fate points but it was a good investment.
I could see the saliva coming out of beast babel's mouth as he stared at the beast core held in his tail.
"I can sense that this core is similar to our bloodline or maybe more purer than that, do you really want to give me this core savior?" He asked me and before waiting for my answer he gulped the beast core.
The beast core lit up with green energy as it entered his throat and his eyes rolled back in his head.
He was absorbing the soul inside the beast core at incredible speed and soon his dark green shell started to fall from his skin.
His demon like face also started to leave skin and a handsome face revealed on his head and his body grew by 1 meter looking more sturdy and intimidating than before.
In place of his green scales, black scales manifested and his fangs grew few more centimeter but soon a black crystal like stone manifested on his forehead.
The whole time he was crying and wailing in pain but soon his body stopped moving as he lost consciousness.
