It was a new day for Turquoise, with Junichi taking his deceased wife's place and Gabbie finally getting a boyfriend of hers. Daiki was watching the sun rising from the tower, reminiscing those days back in Afilia, despite his partial memory loss. He wished that he could help Gabbie bring peace to the city as something to prove his heroism to his superiors up in the Heavens. Meanwhile, Gabbie is still shocked and flabbergasted upon receiving the hoodie with her maternal family's last name on it. Was Gabbie not born as a Minato, but forced to adopt said last name out of her father's behest?
"Am I really not a Minato?" said Gabbie as she questioned herself. She barely knew what happened back in the past thanks to the memory loss caused by the kidnapping, which gave her a moment of shock and mental pain. She felt as if she was a blank slate, with nothing written on it.
Back in the lab, Irene and Marika are discussing about the Fujimiyas' latest discovery: a stone tablet that was salvaged from the abyssal depths of Zahhab Region, an archaeology and diving site located in the eastern coast of Egypt. The stone tablet was kept safely at Lazuline Tower.
"This stone tablet contain what appears to be the history of the Transcendents. When Juno created the Angelus Warriors, they battled Dark Nightmare together. Once the seven-day battle against the nightmarish being was over, the Angelus Warriors gave birth to their descendants via parthenogensis. Lumino already did first before his sacrifice to seal Dark Nightmare years ago before that snake bastard destroyed it, and the others followed before they perish from the wounds they sustained from the war. Said descendants became the Transcendents, but Juno also has their own, like my younger brother's childhood friend and crush Yurika" explained Marika in the video chat.
"Well.. I still don't know much about this Transcendent stuff, yet all of these sounds pretty intriguing. Apparently our secretary is now Junichi Higurashi, who happened to be a classmate of yours, if I am not mistaken" said Irene.
"Hold on, you mean THAT Junichi?! I remember falling in love with him but.. he already got someone else by his side. He was so handsome, yet my current husband is just as handsome as him. Anyways back to the topic, any Transcendents in your place, Irene?" said Marika again.
"Apparently, Junichi is one. He told to me that he's a descendant of one of the Angelus Warriors. And oh, his wife who happened to be our former secretary was murdered" said Irene.
"WHAT?! You mean… he's like my Dad back then?! Anyways, my condolences to his wife. Any clue on the murderer, Irene?" asied Marika. Irene then sent her the footage from the security camera for Marika to watch. Marika was shocked. The person who killed Touka in the footage looked familiar. It was Brittany Luvve, a former lecturer from her college who's apparently known for her obsession for venoms and death, which caused her to be fired from her job.
"I can't believe it… she tried to kill my Dad once, but Mom stepped in and she got injected by her venom. Thankfully Futabas has a special property that allows them to resist poison and venom but, a part of the Deviant genome ended up within my younger brother when he was still inside my Mom's womb. As a result, that thing.. Scarlet Raven was born from it after my Mom and Dad's deaths. How is that sicko still alive?!" said Marika in a rather serious tone. Irene couldn't believe that Brittany was once in the same college as them, and she willingly turned herself into a Deviant to get back on the Espers.
Meanwhile, Junichi was busy training Gabbie, taking Touka's place as her personal trainer. She proven her new mentor to be the skilled fighter she was, and the new fighting gear that her grandfather and Marika mailed to her worked like a charm. She noticed that she was slightly faster than before, thanks to the outfit's material.
"Woo! You're total hot shot, Gabbie! You literally outsmarted me fair and square, with both your mind and your body! Heh, no wonder your clan were known for their intelligence and resourcefulness!" said Junichi happily. Gabbie blushed as she heard her mentor's compliments, still feeling a bit reluctant thanks to her cold nature.
"It's nothing" said Gabbie.
"Come on, Gabbie! Junichi's not teasing you, but I will.. maybe, heheheh" said Daiki jokingly. Gabbie then pinched Daiki's cheeks. "Oww… I was just joking!" said Daiki again as he writhed in pain. Gabbie was pissed after hearing what Daiki said, despite that it was a joke. He didn't knew that Gabbie couldn't take jokes lightly, being a serious girl and all. "Next time, think before you act" scolded Gabbie at her boyfriend.
Meanwhile, Jocelyn has fully recovered from her injuries after her fight with Gabbie as the Parrot Deviant and Serina helped her walk down from her bed. "Jocie! You're OK now!" said Gabbie gleefully as she saw her green-haired friend. She was very delighted to hear the news about her recovery. As a treat, Gabbie wanted to take her fellow Canadian Esper to a local gym for a little sparring. Despite Daiki's concern for his girlfriend's safety, she went out with Jocie to the gym.
"There's something fishy going out there or my name is Daigo Kiryu, and it's not!" said Daiki as he felt worried about his girlfriend. "Let's not worry too much. I'd like to have a word with you about how you adopted my family's last name after my wife's death" said Junichi.
Hours later, a Turquoise staff reported something to Irene. It appears that Gabbie and Jocie has been abducted while they were sparring at the gym. He saw what appeared to be a group of troops clad in black and a mysterious person single-handedly knocking out everyone there and taking them into a truck, driving out of Polaris Sanctuary. The news infuriated Daiki, as his crush has been kidnapped. Without any hesitation, he wanted Junichi to fight by his side to save Gabbie.
"You're coming with me, fine warrior! This is an emergency!" said Daiki. Junichi reluctantly agreed and decided to get into the bottom of this. For help, he phoned his twin brother Mamoru, who worked at Sunshine City as a private investigator alongside his wife Aurora Higurashi.
"Yo, Mamoru. It's ur twin brother Johnny. I need some help. There has been a kidnapping in our place, and it appeared that Daiki's girlfriend was kidnapped as well. I require your assistance" said Junichi over the phone. Mamoru answered it with a yes and told her wife to go and help Junichi and Daiki, as they were on their way to Sunshine City to pursue the kidnappers.
"So this is Sunshine City, the world's capital of Espers. I never been here but, it's an amazing place" said Daiki. He was very amazed by the city's architecture and technology, which was way more advanced than the walled city of Polaris. He also saw robots that worked hard to preserve peace and cleanliness in the city, known as Zarvoxes. Just as they arrived in the city, a bespectacled man and his blonde wife approached the two.
"Hey, my twin bro Johnny, how's it doin?" said Mamoru happily. Junichi said that he was doing good, except that he was still grieving over Touka's death. Mamoru expressed his condolences to his twin brother's death and wished good luck for Touka's spirit in the afterlife. However, Junichi set his feelings to avenge Touka aside, as he must first defeat the kidnappers alongside Daiki and retrieve the kidnapped Espers back from them.
"We detected a signal from the southeastern portion of the city. It appears that something is mobilizing that way. Pursue the signal immediately" said a mysterious woman through Mamoru's phone. "Roger, we'll be heading that way" answered the bespectacled man before he, Daiki and Junichi rushed into the scene. The one who gave him the command is none other than Aurora's younger sister, Talia Wilson, who also happened to be Mamoru and Aurora's boss. She's closely working with Takahitsuji Securities to track down and halt the kidnappers.
"I summon thee, Draco Chaser" said Daiki as he summoned the Draco Chaser with an ocarina. A Spinosaurus-like motorbike appeared before him with a howling dinosaur roar and before he took off into the streets, he inserted the Draco Enestal and the Blaze Enestal into the slots to power it up. While Daiki is on the Draco Chaser, Junichi and his twin brother drove on his twin brother's car to pursue the kidnappers.
Just as they were on their way to the kidnappers, the same mysterious droids that kidnapped the two Canadian Espers has appeared to intercept the trio. Daiki used his Draco Blaster and Blader to cut and shoot his way out of his enemies, while Junichi engaged the droids with his meteor hammer and his Sigil.
"Move bitch, get off the way!" said Daiki as he fought his way through the droids. One by one, the kidnappers' mechanical soldiers flopped into the ground and exploded into charred metallic bits. Junichi smashed the droids good while Mamoru took control of the wheels and ran over several of the droids. "That huge flying fortress over there must be their stronghold… I'm coming, sweetheart" said Daiki before he puts Draco Chaser into full charge and rammed himself into the fortress' gate.
A huge explosion occurred after Daiki crashed into the gate. He was unharmed thankfully, but dealt a lot of damage on the kidnappers' forces. The Higurashi twins then followed soon. A huge clash ensued as the two Espers and the lone Afilian wreck the droid soldiers one by one. As he fought himself out of the droids, he saw a lone female figure, watching the fight. Daiki went for her first and left the rest of the droids to the twins.
"You! What have you done to my pal Gabbie?! Answer you red bitch!" said Daiki angrily. "Hohohoho… she vill be used for good use. Calm down, you uncivilized mongrel" answered the woman. Refused to calm down, Daiki slashed her with his Draco Blader. The woman dodged and laughed at him again. "Hahahahahaha… you pitiful brat! You will not get her back zat easily, for I am the overseer of zis grand project" said the woman again.
"What grand project, and tell me your fucking name!" said Daiki again. "You wish to know me? Very well… I'm Lukretia Von Creuzfeldt, ze chief of staff of Valhalla. Our great leader Olivia Sinclair wished to turn Espers into her very own weapon, but she failed to realize it when zose pesky Lazuline brats killed her! Grrr… I vill not forget zat blonde bitch Rachel! She vill pay for zis, and you… I vill tell you the truth.. It vas I who kidnapped Gabbie back in Thailand, and I framed those Turquoise dumbasses so Lazuline fell for it. But, my victory was cut short because those Fujimiya scumbags came to save her. But the damage has been done… As for you, you're just a roadblock in my plan! Time to be exterminated!" said Lukretia. "Prepare yourself!" answered Daiki.
Tainted by his anger and his resolve to fight to find and save Gabbie, Daiki's Draco Enestal turned from navy to crimson. A mysterious yet demonic voice compelled him to insert said Enestal to his Draco Blaster, which he did. He jammed the tainted Enestal into the Blaster's slot and fired at Lukretia. When he did, a mysterious magma-like red aura engulfed the boy. His eyes turned red, his hair tips turned red and his outfit turned from navy to crimson, with the insignia of a fiery dragon on his jacket. Daiki then roared loudly as if he was possessed by the tainted soul of his guardian deity.
"Hahahahaha… zis will be very exciting" said Lukretia before she came down and clashed with Daiki. Not willing to lose, Daiki engulfed himself in flames and battled Valhalla's chief of staff. "BURN IN THE FLAMES OF HELL YOU RED-HAIRED HARLOT" said Daiki in a rather demonic voice. He then slashed Lukretia multiple times as she was nothing, but his opponent has a secret of her own. She was actually a Deviant, and she had reptilian claws and venomous fangs. "I'll sink my teeth into your veins and end you for good!" said Lukretia.
Daiki parried Lukretia's bite with his Blader and smashed her head with the Blaster's muzzle. The redhead Deviant was knocked back, and her venomous fangs were broken. Enraged, Lukretia charged at Daiki once again and before she got her hands on the Afilian boy, Daiki closed his eyes and roared once again. "RAGING DIABOLIC EVE!!" screamed Daiki in a demonic voice before he unleashed a huge jet of fire at the charging Deviant woman.
Lukretia screamed in pain as Daiki's flames burned her. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!! My flesh! You bastard, now my beautiful body is all ruined!" said Lukretia as she writhed in pain. "BURN… IN HELL!" said Daiki before he went for the fortress' containment area to free Gabbie and the other kidnapped Espers. Before she could even stop Daiki, Lukretia was finally immolated by the draconic fire and nothing left of her except her charred bones and hair.
Using the last of the tainted Enestal's powers, Daiki burned the cell's bars and freed Gabbie and the others in a daring rescue mission. He then met up with the twins, activated the self-destruct sequence and jumped out of the flying fortress. The fortress flew into the ocean and exploded in the sky, taking the remaining droids and Lukretia's remains with it. After freeing Gabbie, Daiki reverted to his normal self and fell into the ground.
"Ugh.. where am I?" said Daiki as he woke up in an infirmary in the Lazuline Tower. He felt like when Gabbie found herself in Polaris for the first time. Junichi told her that he exhausted himself during the fight, and it may have been an adverse effect after using the tainted Enestal. After he woke up, he saw the Draco Enestal turning back to Navy. "Great Guardian Deity of the Seas, what happened to me back then?" asked Daiki to the spirit of Draco Piscis.
"It seems that your anger took over my vessel, unleashing what appears to be an primal beast sealed by ancient Afilians eons ago. They called it Rex Vulcanus. Supposedly the Great Guardian Deity of the Land, but it was sealed when it rampaged upon the land back then. the royal family and the Saga forgotten its existence, but I don't. Upon its sealing, Afilia only had two Guardian Deity. And I feel the other one might be of good use to you. Look for the Great Guardian of the Skies, and thou shall obtain the utmost power to protect your beloved one! Your journey is not over yet!" answered Draco Piscis.
Daiki understood what the deity's spirit said, and just after he was done with Lukretia, a new problem arises. Polaris was taken over by the Serpentine Cartel while Junichi and Daiki were away, and Brittany has taken Dr. Irene and the Esper populace of the city hostage. Not only that, she also single-handedly defeated Serina and imprisoned the Fujimiya siblings, Hiroki and Hayato. Knowing the situation, Draco Piscis was right. The journey was still far from over, and Daiki and Gabbie resolved to fight alongside each other to free the city.
