Neigh..
Neigh..
The white carriage horses that had a touch of blue and gold with the symbol of the fairy kingdom neighed as they entered the borders of the vampire race capital.
Rose breathed a sigh of relief when she and her group arrived at their destination safely. The trip this time wasn't that far away because the place they were headed for was the territory of their neighboring kingdom.
The magical tools given to her by her father also had a hand in making them arrive faster. Looks like this time her father really combed the storage space because he gave various magic tools for this trip.
Even though they weren't lacking, they also didn't have as much good equipment as the Dwarf race. Or various magical items like the magician race. It is undeniable that she was touched by the affection of her father.
The beautiful fairy stared out the window as she surveyed the scene in front of her. The wind blew her fine strands of hair.
Each region between races has its own characteristics. Unlike the fairy race whose territory is dominated by abundant natural wealth, the vampire race's territory has luxurious buildings that have sharp architectural elements.
Although not all of the buildings are red and black, the two colors seem to dominate every house she passes.
"We have arrived, Princess." the maid named Hana who had accompanied the beautiful girl during the journey in the carriage informed.
Hana felt that even though she had sprinkled magic powder to cover her old charm, the fairy princess still looked beautiful even though it wasn't as beautiful as her real appearance.
Previously, her master was an astonishing beauty that could capture the hearts of others the first time saw her. Now, that fairy princess had a polite beauty that was a bit innocent when compared to others.
Even so, the effect wasn't too bad. The powder she used was one of the magic items given by the king. As long as the powder is not exposed to water, it will retain its effect even after a year has passed. And more importantly, it is harmless to the skin.
Rose stepped slowly through the carriage door that had been opened. Politely accepted a helping hand from Captain Jerome who had been waiting for her. The girl's yellow dress fluttered in the wind as her footsteps drew closer and closer to the green expanse that spread across the ground.
"This way, princess." the maids of the vampire race were already preparing to serve the guests who came from various races.
The group walked slowly with the fairy princess as the leader. Beside her, stood captain Jerome as the one in charge of the princess's safety.
While behind them were six senior female servants who served the needs of the princess with Hana as the main servant. The rest were the princess's guard knights.
The maid of the vampire race respectfully escorted them to the 6th castle. A place intended for the fairy race to rest waiting for the banquet to be held.
After providing information regarding the required gathering party, the vampire maids left the group to greet the other guests.
"Meow.."
Suddenly a cat's voice came from behind the castle wall they had just passed.
Rose turned towards the sound and found a black cat staring at her. The cat has blue eyes and a rather short coat. The cat's fur stood up indicating that it was frightened and in a state of readiness ready to attack.
The beautiful fairy softly carried the black cat into her arms. Stroking the dark fur slowly to calm the cat. Comfortably, the cat curled up in the girl's arms.
"Blacky .." the voice of a young teenager was heard trying to call from a distance.
Rose walked towards the voice with the black cat still in her arms. She saw a young man about the same age as her younger brother crouching looking for something behind the thick bushes of plants.
"You looking for your cat?" Rose asked politely to the young man.
As if he had just noticed someone else's presence, the young man immediately stood up from his embarrassing position. Pretending to tidy up his clothes to cover his embarrassment.
"None of your business." the teenager replied curtly.
When he saw the black cat curled up comfortably in the woman's arms, the young man grabbed it aggressively.
"Your cat ran away because it was stressed. Usually it's because of a noisy environment or there are other animals in the environment. Have you had another cat recently?" Rose was not angry with the young man's behavior. She even thought that the young man was very similar to her younger brother when he was in a period of rebellion.
"What's your business! There's no need to lecture me." the young man spoke harshly but did not immediately leave the place.
"Want some tea at my place?" Rose looked amused as she offered the young man a small banquet. He really looks like Antonio is feeling guilty but embarrassed to apologize. Made her have a pretty good impression on this dishonest teenager.
"Hm.. I only drink high quality tea." the young man snorted proudly.
After the two arrived at the castle's living room, Rose ordered her maid to serve tea and small snacks to her new guest.
Hana served her master favorite white tea. The tea is made from fresh young tea leaves which can only be harvested twice a year. The tea leaves dried are then gently rolled, emitting a distinctive, slightly sweet aroma.
Rose and the young man engaged in a simple conversation. From their conversation, Rose knew that the young man's name was Johan. He is the youngest prince of the vampire race. He has an older brother from the same mother who is the empress. And some brothers and sisters from other concubines.
"After all, why did they give me a tomcat." Johan sounded annoyed when he spoke.
It turns out that apart from the black cat, Johan has two other cats. One is a brown-haired cat given to him by an older brother from the same mother. While the other is a white cat with gray stripes all over its fur as a birthday present from a different mother's brother who is three years older than her. Unfortunately, both cats are males which makes them fight each other when they meet.
"Do they think raising a cat is easy?" Johan kept complaining.
"If you don't want to raise them, why don't you just throw them away. You'll be free from all the trouble they cause." Rose smiled as she suggested.
"But... it's a gift. It's rude to throw it away." John spoke slowly. Not daring to look into the beautiful fairy's eyes.
"Then you can't keep complaining. How about you start thinking of a way to reconcile them so the cats can play together." Rose didn't expose the teen's lies.
Rose knew that the young man really liked his cats. Otherwise, He will not look for his cat all the way to the castle which is far from the main palace.
While it can be troublesome at times when the cats throw a tantrum, the feeling of touching and cuddling the cats is addictive. Makes those who take care of them soft-hearted when they see their cute behavior.
"Do you know a way to make them reconcile." The young man asked doubtfully.
"Of course. But there are conditions." Rose answered the teenager's question.
"What are the conditions?" Johan asked enthusiastically.
"First, don't call older people by they name. Call me, Sister." Rose smiled seeing the young man's initially enthusiastic face turn red with embarrassment.
Even though he looked shy, the young man finally asked Rose again. But this time, her nickname changed to big sister with a sweet accent.
The beautiful fairy didn't want to embarrass the young man who already had red ears. She began to explain the steps for getting the cats to get along with each other.
After the young man left, Rose asked her servant to prepare warm water. She wanted to relax her tired body by taking a warm bath. Trying to recover her strength to attend the meeting party that night.
The meeting of the six races is held annually with three days as the event. The first day they will introduce themselves to each other representing their respective races.
On the second day, representatives from each race will propose cooperation to other races regarding the cooperation they can do.
While on the third day they will only attend the dance party. Trying her best to leave a good impression on the representatives of the other races.
