Chapter 89 - READY TO SIGN A CONTRACT

At exactly 6 am her alarm rang the same time Angie had set it. She groaned on the bed and slightly opened her eyes to put off the ringing alarm. She turned to see Mathias still having his nighttime. She curved her brim into a beautiful smile and got out of bed. Xoxo had called her the other night to inform her that the application that was sent to Gregory's company had been accepted and they requested her attention the next day for her to sign her contract.

It was something amusing that they had accepted her in just a day but with the thought of her qualifications, she knew she deserved it. Maybe the company had seen how expert and superior she was.

After doing the girl's stuff and putting on her dress, she took her car key and put it inside her silver handbag that matched her outfit. She gave Mathias one more glance and made her way out. She hadn't told him she had gotten a contract since he requested that she quit her impossible job. How on earth did he expect her to do that?

Getting out of the mansion, she strode to the car pack and entered her car immediately after she got to it. Igniting her key, she made some reverse and zoomed out. On her way, she gave Xoxo a call telling her she was soon to get to the hotel she asked Xoxo to rent.

She got to the hotel and met Xoxo already waiting for her. "Good morning," she greeted Xoxo and Xoxo replied with her greetings.

"The hotel is an exclusive one, you'll surely love it," Xoxo said as she led the way into the hotel.

"Very good," Angie muttered.

Xoxo directed her to the passage where they would take a lift since the rented room was on the fifth. Xoxo clicked on the lift button and it opened for them to get in which they did while it closed back behind them.

"Have you told your boyfriend?" Xoxo asked. She had been wanting to ask the other night but Angela didn't give her space to and when she got the opportunity to ask, she didn't hesitate.

"He wants me to quit my career," Angie mumbled and scoffed when she remembered how Maths had told her.

"Oh wow, of course, you have to leave him be. How could he think of such a thing?!" Xoxo cried out in amazement. "Did he understand what he said? I don't think so," she added.

"He's too possessive. I don't understand what he wants me to do when he says I should quit my job. To mean," Angie let out in rage just as they arrived at the fifth floor and the door opened for them to get off.

They got to the entrance of the rented room and Xoxo put in the password to unlock the door. The door clicked open and she opened it, letting Angie in before she followed behind.

Angela's eyes roamed all over the room and she nodded her head in satisfaction. "It's perfect," she said and moved fully in. She slumped herself on the long couch placed in the middle of the room and pulled off the silver jacket she wore leaving her strapless silver gown alone.

Xoxo who had gone to the kitchen returned with a tray of two orange juice and a piece of cake. She placed it on the slab in front of Angie and beckoned her to serve herself.

"Where do you rent your house, Xoxo?" Angie asked and sip from her orange juice.

"At the downtown," Xoxo answered and sat beside her

"I told you I need a place closer to Gregory company and you found me here?"

"It's a few drives from her to the company whereas you mustn't live closer to that company. Do you know? Your boss might come to look for you every single day," Xoxo conveyed and chuckled.

"I wanted a place where I can walk and not drive," Angie complained.

"Oops, my bad!" Xoxo shrieked jokingly.

"This place is kinda boring, let's listen to some music," Angie proposed and stood up from her seat. She went over to the Tv and put it on. She took the remote control and returned to her seat then, she began to change channels until she found her favourite singing show.

"What time did you say it is again?" Angie asked as she carried her legs up on the chair to sit comfortably while she ate her snacks.

"We should be there before ten," Xoxo answered.

A few hours later, Angela woke Xoxo up that it was time and she was leaving for Gregory's company.

"I'm so sleepy, I won't go with you," Xoxo grumbled, yawning and stretching her body altogether.

"Fine!" Angie snapped, "I'll go by myself," she ensured and carried her bag.

Xoxo yelled after her, "Be quick about it and be safe, I don't want your boyfriend ranting over me."

Angela gave her no response and left.

Gregory company|

Angela looked up at the tall building made with reflector glass in front of her. She felt happy to be back home and doing one of the best things she ever wished for. Gregory was also one of the big reservoir companies for gamers. It was known for the wellness and the strict training it received all because of its director. Many news outlets have had it that he was also a young adult but he had been able to grow his company some years after his father, the real owner died.

She breathed in and out before she walked into the company. She got to the receptionist and asked about her way to the swimming centre. The receptionist asked for her name to know if she had booked an appointment. After checking Angela's name, she stood up immediately.

"You're welcome, Miss Thompson," the receptionist said and came out of the counter after telling her colleagues who Angela was. They all began to greet her one after the other before the receptionist finally led her to the swimming centre.

On getting there, Angela could see contestants like her practising and she marvelled at their arrangement and orderliness. She followed after the receptionist who led her into the manager's office and left, leaving Angela to herself.
