Maths as expected won the fight while claiming he cheated her in the game. It was when Mathias accepted the defeat Angie decided to let go. Then they both crumbled to sit on the bed of the ring laughing heartily at their game.
Angie placed her head on Math's shoulder and hugged tightly to him like he was going to leave at any time.
"Angela?" He called, caressing her arms wrapped around. She answered with a mumble and he continued what he was going to say, "I hope you don't get angry with what I want to say?"
"Don't bother saying it if you know it will get me upset," she mumbled.
"Give me a chance to say it even if it will get you angry."
"I warned you."
"Yeah, right, I want you to quit your job," he said solemnly, flaring Angie's brain.
"Can you come again," Angie demanded, gazing up to look at her and saw he was already staring bashfully at her. "You can't be serious are you?"
"I'm always serious with my words, Angela," he said while Angie shook her head.
"You're starting to pout nonsense," she meant and continued staring into space. Mathias can't be joking with her. He just couldn't suggest she quit her job, all because of what? She couldn't imagine.
She started humming a song to avoid him saying any more words but he wasn't ready to give in.
"I have my reasons, Angie," he uttered and Angela gave him no answer. He sure wasn't talking to her. He must have been playing foul play with her when he was informing her. How on earth would he even think she would quit her job?
"I built my career for eight good years and you still suggest I quit, you must be joking," she conveyed and jerked away from his hold, stood and began to find her way out of the ring. "You can as well live your life alone." She came out of the ring cursing under her breath. Other than her quitting, she either breaks off their ties.
She headed into the mansion and up to their room. Immediately she got in, she slumped on the bed and heaved a heavy breath. Mathias was starting to drive her crazy by telling her to quit her career which she had built for the past year.
She looked around the room and discovered she didn't bring her phone along with her since she had returned with rage. She stood up ready to face Mathias and went out of the room. As she went downstairs, Paul blocked her way and bowed to her. She then remembered she had promised he would join her in making snacks. But at that moment, she wasn't in the mood. The person she had wanted to make the snack for had made her angry.
"I'll get to you," she told Paul and headed to the gym house. Just when she opened the door to go in, she got blocked by Mathias who was about to come out. Their gaze met and she hissed, pushing past him to look for her phone but got stopped when Mathias called her.
"Looking for this?" He asked and raised her phone for her to see he got it.
She hissed again and went to him, jerking the phone out of his hand. She was able to take a step to leave when Mathias pulled her into a back hug. She struggled for him to let go but instead, his grip became tighter.
"You looked so angry with me, baby," Maths teased.
"I'm not in the mood for your jokes, would you let me go?"
"Not yet, darling, I want you by my side," he muttered and grounded to his arousal feeling her skin on his. "I want you," he said and began to move his hand over her top before finding his way beneath it to caress her tummy.
Angie tilted her head backwards to his touch and moaned quietly to his touch as he began to move his hands up to her bosom.
"I'm getting hard deep down here, Angel," he grunted and pressed her against him.
Angie gripped his shorts and pulled away, turning to face him. "Oh sorry, not anymore," she proclaimed and released her grip from his shorts as he stared widely at her.
"You want me, Angie doesn't deny it," he conceded and took a step toward her, closing up the distance between them.
"Fuck off," she squealed and turned to leave, "Dont touch me!"
Mathias curved a dangerous smirk on his brim as he watched her storm away. He wasn't going to force her to quit her job, he just needed her to be beside him and protect her with all his life but wasn't he asking for too much?
Angie got back to the kitchen and met Paul doing some cleaning. She decided to let him finish up as she went back to the sitting room to give her manager a call.
On the first ring, Xoxo picked up the call. "I was about to give you a call," Xoxo said from the other end.
"I'll be signing a contract with Gregory's company," Angie delivered and she heard her manager scoff. "What's wrong?" Angela requested.
"I've heard of Gregory before and I heard lots of bad comments about the company. It is owned by an arrogant small boy," Xoxo relayed and Angie heard her hiss.
"Okay, fine. Gregory is owned by someone aggressive but that doesn't change anything. It is one of the biggest companies I wish to work with and being strict has grown the company so I see no reason why I can't work with them," Angie clarified but Xoxo wasn't ready to comply with her.
"Whatever, if that's what you choose to go for, then I will look into it and submit your application tomorrow," Xoxo said.
"Okay, thanks," Angie muttered. "Also please, can you get me a rented apartment?"
"What for? I thought_"
"Don't think of anything and get me one, will you? Anyone closer to Gregory would be better too."
"Okay, consider it done, bye" Xoxo assured and they both ended the call.
Angie stood up to check on Paul but he wasn't done with the cleaning so she helped him out after his wailing that his boss would rant about it. Angie told him not to worry and that she'll treat his f**k up if he ever tried to.
