Maths sat comfy ready to listen to the information his men had brought to him about Thomas's whereabouts. "He's married to Shed's sister?" Mathias asked amused. "Thomas is a Coyote and got married to Shed's sister, daughter of Riley. Don't you think something is suspicious?" He inquired from his men who stood in front of him where he sat on the terrace of his mansion.
"Yes, we've also thought of it," Jack, the leader of the men, uttered. Then he collected a file from one of the men beside him and passed it onto Mathias who checked it. He saw the picture of Thomas and Kate. Then, he remembered when Shed had informed him about his sister getting married. With that thought, he brought out his phone and dialled Shed's number. At the first ring, Shed picked up groaning over the phone.
"Can you hear me?" Mathias asked while Shed groaned.
"Can you stop calling me early in the morning? Why are you fond of waking me up from sleep with your calls?" Shed complained from the other end.
"I'm sorry," Mathias pleaded, "I call you for things that are always important, you know right?"
"Right. What do you want this time around?"
Mathias stood up from where he sat, "Your sister, Kate is married to who?"
"Thomas. Yeah, his name is Thomas. Anything wrong?"
"I just found out something. Thomas is part of the Coyote," Mathias revealed as he headed back into his mansion and made some hand gestures for his men to leave while he made his way up the stairs. There was a pause at the other end. "Can you hear me?"
"Yes, hold up, I wanna check out something," Shed said and went off and after about thirty seconds he spoke out, "Hearing this from you makes me want to believe he is part of them," he conveyed.
"Yes, he was but no more. I heard the group got split," Mathias said as he opened the door to his room and walked in. "I found out about another Coyote that isn't part of the ones we listed down."
"Oh! really? They're more than five?"
"Yes, they are and there is more to what we don't know. I visited the family of one and his wife revealed that her husband wasn't given his share. She kinda lied but a part of me says she might be telling the truth," Mathias divulged. He was now standing by the window gazing out to an open space.
"I'll look into Thomas. I heard from Kate that they'll be coming back to Brooklyn in a week's time for a birthday celebration. Maybe we could make use of the opportunity," Shed relayed and Mathias nodded in agreement even if Shed couldn't see him.
"Have you gone to visit your father?" Mathias asked.
Shed giggled "I enjoy watching him from a distance."
"You don't have to hide your pain. Meet with your father, maybe he might have other clues. I'll call you later, bye." He ended the call with a heavy sigh. Just then, he remembered his promise to Angela that he would call her when he was less busy. He scrolled through his phone and found her number. He dialled it, placing it on the loudspeaker. Angela has gone to Pennsylvania to cancel her contract with her company and will be returning the next day. He missed her already. Her anger, her curse, everything about her was driving him crazy.
After calling her number up to three times, he gave up and dropped his phone. Maybe she was busy with her stuff and was unable to pick up his call. He stretched himself and stride away from where he stood to the bed. He docked himself on the bed and minutes later, he dozed off.

Angela picked up her phone from where she placed it at the conference table and checked through it. She saw Mathias call which she was expecting. She had put her phone on silent when a conference meeting was heard because of her departure. She has been questioned on why she wants to cancel her contract and she had given them reasonable answers which still didn't convince them. Angela was a good swimmer and she had won a lot of endorsements for the company so letting her go would be that easy.
She stood up and whimpered when she felt her knees go numb. Surely, she would feel pain since the meeting has been held for close to three hours. She felt a tap on her back and turned to see her manager smiling beautifully at her. She was taken aback. Normally, she thought her manager would rant and get angry because she had broken her contract but she was wrong, her manager looked satisfied for her.
"I don't want to believe that you are happy I'm leaving," Angela told her, picked up her bag and they began to heed for the entrance of the conference room.
"Not bad, I love it, anyway," Xoxo admitted, earning a weird stare at her.
"Love it? Are you serious right now?"
"Yes, I am because we are both moving together," Xoxo muttered and grinned hard.
Angela shrieked, "Do tell me you're joking!"
"Thanks to your promising boyfriend."
"Boyfriend?" Angela asked and her thoughts veered to Mathias when he was telling her that he already met with her manager. "What promise did he make to you?" Angela questioned again.
"Promise to let my stay in Brooklyn be wonderful," Xoxo cheered.
Angela smiled. Mathias always seems to surprise her. How could he have confused Xoxo to follow her to Brooklyn? The boy was sure to be an expert. "Now I'm not leaving you and you're not leaving me, great!" She squealed and Xoxo did the same.
As they walked out of the conference room, they headed to the swimming alley to greet her fellow contestants and her trainees. When they saw her, she cried out, looking sad to see her leave. She gave them a departing speech while they gifted her with a cake. They sang merrily for her and she promised to visit them from time to time. After her greetings, she walked out of the alley with Xoxo by her side.
"Let's leave today, what do you think?" Angela asked Xoxo.
"I'll try to book a flight," Xoxo replied and opened the tour bus that brought them to the company. Angela entered and Xoxo followed after. They drove off to Angela's house.
