Chapter 82 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

|One Week Later|

Mathias watched Angela as she groaned whirling her body on the bed not wanting to start up from her slumber. He bent over to her earlobe and smeared her with his tongue for the third time. She wiggled again and brought her hands up to push him away which she succeeded in doing.

"Leave me alone!" She cried out to him and Maths chuckled. He stood up knowing she won't be able to sleep back. He went to the door, opened it and went out only to come in holding a big white box designed with a red ribbon on it. Angie was already sitting on the bed yawning when he dropped the box on the bed. "What's this?" She asked, eyeing the box.

Mathias went to her on the bed and pecked her lips, "Happy Birthday, my love. Check out your gift," he instructed and pulled away from her, making his way to the washroom.

With a smile curved on her lips, she drew the parcel closer to her and started unboxing it starting with the ribbon. She fully opened the box and the first thing she saw was a juicy rose flower that bloomed as if it had just germinated. She grinned when she saw a small white slip folded into two with a heart drawn on the front. She drew it out from the flower and unfolded it only to see the word, 'I love you inscribed on it. She gently folded the slip back and placed it on the bed beside her along with the flower to check out other things.

The next thing she saw was a little Jaden box carved with silver crystals making it sparkle. She shrieked when she opened it to see a silver necklace modelled with her name as the pendant. It was designed just the same way the box was designed. Inside the box was another slip which she slid open to read. The same word 'I love you' was written on it. She quickly dropped it and moved to the other gift which was a small purse. She picked it up and opened it as it had been indicated on it. She let her hand in and brought out a car key with a slip placed on it. She opened the slip and it said 'I love you again. She rolled her eyes and shook the car key. "I've got a new car," she pouted and searched inside the box again. She brought out a wrapped parcel. She tore the wrap away and found herself staring down at a pack of chocolate. She chuckled and opened it to taste some. She ate merrily and moaned at the sweet taste of the chocolate. Still munching her chocolate, she reached out for her last gift also wrapped. It was a coat with a picture of her swimming, she gasped.

"Xavier?!" She yelled, "Where did you get this picture from?" She inquired but didn't get an answer as she had expected. She gazed at the picture that had different positions of how she had swum.

She zipped down the coat and wore it to her size. It fitted her perfectly and she couldn't hide her grin. She wrapped the parcel back without putting back her birthday gift in it.

Just then, her phone buzzed out and she didn't hesitate to pick up knowing it would be a call from anyone who wanted to wish her, "Hello?" She called.

"Happy Birthday sister Angie. Dad said I should wish you this morning, you know I don't have time. We'll be expecting you at home, bye for now," Dennis conveyed and ended the call.

Angie scoffed and looked at her phone screen, "Is this boy kidding me?" She shook her head and got out of bed while checking out the messages she had got. Jane's message was the first followed by her manager which was most surprising, followed by Nancy and Shed. She laughed out loud reading what each of them wished for her. The one that was hilarious to her was Shed telling her he wished she would break up and leave Maths alone because he doesn't deserve her. She decided to send him back a message telling him she plans to break up with Maths soon enough. Still chuckling, she sent it to him.

Mathias paced back to the bedroom some minutes later when Angie was busy doing her facial treatment in front of the dresser. When she noticed him she turned to look at him.

"I love the necklace only to find out you made a coat with me half-naked. You expect me to wear that right?" She inquired, gazing largely at him.

"I…" he paused and veered to the nightstand to grab his phone.

"Where did you get the picture from?"

"It was captured from the CCTV."

"I knew it, that day was in Pennsylvania," she pouted, making some gestures with her hands, "Don't tell me you took a trip to Pennsylvania?"

"I met with your manager."

"Oh! I see… you met with who?!" She shrieked.

Maths went to her and caress her cheeks, "I told her your contract in Pennsylvania will be cancelled and you'll_"

"I what?"

"You'll no more return to Pennsylvania." He stated, more like an order.

Angie hit his hands away from her face and turned back to her mirror, gazing at his reflector, "I never told you I was going back."

"So, I met with her."

Angie kept quiet and looked at his reflection. If she wasn't going back to Pennsylvania, it would be because of him. After so many years, she still decided to be with him. She breathed in and out before returning to what she was doing.

"I'll be at the towers. When you are done give me a call and Harley will be here to pick you up," he relayed.

"She's going with us?"

"No." He told her and evacuated the room.

An hour later, Angie was done and Harley had come to pick her up. When they got to the first tower, the gate was opened and Harley drove into it. Getting down from the car, she let her eyes roam about the place with the beautiful field in the middle. The bus she saw was close to ten and it made her wonder what they were used for.

Just then, Maths and three of his allies trotted towards where Harley had packed the car. They got to them and Mathias halted, collecting the car keys from Harley. He then nudged Angie to take the front seat. She was about to enter the car when she heard her name from afar. She turned to see Freya waving heartily to her. Her face carved a smile and she waved back. After all, the little girl was having fun.
