Mathias stood in front of the projector looking at his men as they tried to stabilize the network for the video call that they were about to do. The projector screen showed different videos of his men that were present for the meeting. Videos of his men at the first tower, the second tower, and the third tower, his men from Brooklyn and those that are within Orleans. They were close to thirty in total. Mathias doesn't control all of them, most of them were his father's men so since his father has been put in jail. They had joined Mathias to find and fight for Mr Albert.
After the videos were already stable, Mathias asked them what they have found for the past few days.
"We found out about a Coyote member whose name is Xyle. He was part of the Coyotes but he later left the team. We don't think we can confront him since he had left them alone. He might get us sued," The head of the first tower delivered, leaving the room in silence. They all knew he was right, Xyle could sue them if they tried finding out the truth about the Coyotes and it wouldn't be good for them since the court might raise charges against them.
"I need to go find him." Mathias conveyed, looking all gloomy as ever. "We need to risk something to get a positive result," He said and made a slight cough telling them an excuse for distracting their meetings, then he continued, "We'll find a way not to make him throw a taunt. How old is he?"
"Fifty-two," The man replied.
"It won't be a problem to convince him. He wouldn't be the person we expect he would be, I hope. Any other message."
"Riley was spotted with some people that seemed to be his friends,"
"New friends," Mathias corrected even if he wasn't sure if they were his old or new friends because he knew Riley wasn't the type that keeps friends, there must be a reason he had met with them. "Tame him and find out why he met them, okay?"
"Yes, master."
"You guys in Brooklyn, prepare yourselves, I'll be there in some hours to come, let's meet Xyle."
"Yes, master." They replied and the call ended.
"Will I go with you?" Harley asked Mathias as he made his way out of the meeting room.
"Yes, you're coming with me. Angela will return to Brooklyn too." Mathias replied and halted to face Harley. "What is that girl up to now?"
"She's learning rapidly. I heard she passed the first test amazingly," Harley uttered.
Mathias resumed walking again, "I knew she would. Go in and prepare for our leave, we'll join you soon." He said to her as the door to his chamber opened up and he walked in.
Angela was already prepared to leave for Brooklyn. The next day was her competition. She had to go back to Brooklyn and prepare for the contest.
"What should I get you for your birthday?" Mathias requested as he paced to the divan she was sitting on.
Her mouth wide open to his question, she pronounced, "Who told you next week is my birthday?"
"Dennis," Mathias replied and cupped her cheeks with his hands.
"That boy."
"So you don't plan to tell me before right?"
"I didn't remember myself." She pouted her lips when Mathias placed a kiss on them.
"What should I get for you?" He asked again while Angela tried to think.
"Meet with my family, properly." She implored when she remembered what Nancy told her about marriage the other day.
"Well, not too bad." He uttered, "Consider it done." He pecked her lips again and headed to the washroom to prepare.
Mathias, Harley and five of his men walked up the hills to the cottage where Xyle lived. It was more like a cliff beside the beach. Around were rocks and green plants that made the surroundings look glamorous.
They finally got to the tall cottage built with tinted reflector glass that would have cost a fortune. There weren't any security passes, only long iron steps that led to the entrance. They began to climb up the stairs to the entrance and when they got up, one of his men hit the doorbell. Not too long, a beautiful lady, tall, slender and fair putting on an apron gently opened up the door.
"Hi!" She greeted seeing their faces.
It was Harley who talked first, "Hi!" She returned the greeting. "We're looking after Xyle, is he home?"
"Yes he is, can I know who you are and why you want to see him." She said and Harley then turned to Mathais.
"Tell him, Matthias Albert is here to see him." He uttered even if he had no clue if Xyle knew him.
"I'll be back." The lady mumbled and closed the door shut on them again. The door was opened again after some minutes and the lady came into view, ushered them in though only Mathias and Harley followed her.
Xyle, the tall huge man of his age was already standing in the foyer of the cottage, waiting for them. When he heard Mathias's name, he knew instantly who he was and why he had come to see him.
"I don't work with the Coyotes any longer," Xyle uttered, moved away from where he was standing and started up the stairs that led to the upper part of the cottage, beckoning them to tag along.
"I know," Mathias answered.
"And I also have no information to tell you,"
"I know too,"
"So, why are you here?" Xyle implored. He went over to a little bar designed like it was a club, having two seats at the front of it. He moved to the counter and signalled with his hands for the two to sit in the available seat.
"I have a few questions."
"Go on and I will give you the answers if I can." He conveyed, pouring out wine into two glasses for them.
"When did you leave the group?"
"Eight years ago?"
"Why did you leave?"
"Because I don't want to participate in their voyage since I knew you would come for me." He smirked this time revealing the upper set of his white teeth.
Mathias gulped down some wine into his throat, "Permission to smoke?"
"No!"
"Okay, when was the last time you saw any of the coyote members?"
Xyle pretends to think, "I can't remember."
"You just lied."
"I only had a few calls with my pupil."
"Pupil?"
"He was also part of the Coyotes but now he's out of the country and he's the only one who can be of help now but I doubt if Thomas would comply."
"Thomas?" Mathias asked and faced Harley.
"We don't have his name on the list," Harley confirmed his thoughts.
"I knew there were more of them. I would love to meet Thomas." Mathias mumbled to Xyle.
"Your choice."
