Chapter 78 - SWEET LOVEBIRDS

"Darling?" Nancy called out to Davis who was busy with his laptop. "Check this out, darling." She conveyed and stretched her phone to him and his gaze went to her phone screen. He looked through what she showed him.

"Top one?" Davis asked, his eyes popping out at what he saw. "Do you mean it?"

"Yep! My Reservoir took the lead!" She jumped on Davis who lost his balance and fell to the bed. They both chuckled and curled up with each other. They stayed like that, Davis stroking his hands softly on her head before Nancy finally broke the silence.

"My dad asks to see you." She delivered, pouting her lips on his chest while she used her hands to caress his torso.

Davis heaved a heavy sigh. "I'm busy."

"No genuine excuse, hubby. You are going to see him." She said. Davis and her father don't get along right from school. Her father has always tagged him as a rude and naughty boy and he doesn't like her father correcting him. However, at that moment, Nancy was trying to coax him to meet with her father. Although her father has approved of her marriage which occurred a year ago she needed to create a smooth relationship between her father and husband.

"He called me to lecture me again?" David implored and tried to stand up from the bed but Nancy wouldn't let him off.

"Yes, I guess you know." She replied and giggled against his chest and gave Davis the chance to sit up from the bed with Nancy still clutching onto him. "He wants to hold a family meeting and be part of the family."

"So, it's not like he wants me to come, it's for a meeting. Oh, damn babe, I'm going nowhere." He conveyed and grabbed what was at the edge of the bed forward to him.

Nancy released her grip on him. "I know you wouldn't. Never mind, since I thought I could give you a surprise when we visit them."

"A surprise that you can't share with me at home other than the meeting?" He queried his gaze on his laptop screen.

Nancy huffed away and got down from bed, picking up her phone. She went through her phone and a message popped into her phone. It was a strange number but she didn't hesitate to check it out.

_Hey! Nancy, it's me, Angela. I couldn't call not knowing where you'd be but call me back when you see my call. Love you!_

Nancy shrieked, ran over to Davis and leapt on him.

"What is it this time, babe?" He asked and pushed away his laptop so she wouldn't break it. "Be careful." He said and wrapped his hands over her waist.

"I'm just excited that Angela is back." She uttered and showed her phone to him. "See, She messaged me. It looks like she has gotten back with Maths."

Davis snorted. "Back to teasing Maths and running away again? I don't like that she's back when Maths is so busy. She could be a threat to him. Tell her to go back to wherever_"

"Davis!"

"What? I'm right and I'm never going back on my word. Anytime I get to see her, then I'll let her know my mind." He pledged.

Nancy hit him softly across his face, "You will do no such thing. Watch me build up their relationship and make them get married to each other." She assured standing up from him once again and dialled the number that Angela had used to call her. The call rang but she didn't receive a response till her phone stopped ringing. Nervously, she dialled again and on the second ring, Angela picked up.

"Hello! Nancy?" Angela called from the other end.

Nancy moved to the bed and sat gracefully on it "How are you dear? Sorry, I couldn't reach out to you all these days. How have you been?"

"Great! What about you?"

"My reservoir came top first in Brooklyn," She announced, joyfully.

Angela screeched, "Really?!"

"Yes, after the game you guys played the other day."

"Are you serious? Wow! That's great." Angela divulged and Nancy could detect her countenance, she was happy for her.

"Met with Maths?"

"Currently at Orleans," Angela mumbled, sheepishly. She didn't know why she was there in the first place. But Maths was a dickhead. He didn't inform her and she was already piles of calls from work and her family.

"What?! Orleans? Maths already took you to Orleans. Geez, that boy gotta be kidding me right now?"

"Right?"

"Right."

"You know, he's a jerk. He wouldn't let me out. I'm having a game the day after tomorrow but he never allowed me to practice." She conveyed.

"I knew that boy is stupid. Should I visit?"

"Shut up! You're going nowhere." Davis who has been listening to their conversation let out.

"Davis? Is that Davis?" Angela asked.

"I'm visiting you tommo_"

"You're going nowhere," Davis instructed, grabbing her cell phone from her, he placed it on his ear. "Listen, Angie, don't you dare let her leave my house or you'd be dead." He jeopardized and put the call to an end.

Nancy snatched her phone angrily from his hand. "Is someone wrong with you?" She appealed and dialled Angela's number again which was picked up almost immediately.

"Is that boy still silly?"

"Yes he is and I am fed up with him. I need a divorce." She said to tease Angie and earned a stern look from Davis before he returned to his work on the laptop.

"By what time would you be here?" Angie inquired.

"I'll give you a call when I start preparing and tell that naughty Maths that he's going to face my wrath tomorrow."

"Okay?" Angie said and chuckled. "I look forward to seeing you and please tell your husband that I am sorry for taking you away from him. He deserves better."

Nancy laughed. "Good night dear, see you tomorrow." She said and Angie said hers before the call ended. She turned to Davis, "Maths is unbelievable, he already took Nancy to Orleans. Gawd! She just came back from one journey and he was already stressing her." She confided.

"She deserved it," Davis uttered, still working on his laptop.

She rolled her eyes at him. "I see no difference between you and Maths."
