Chapter 77 - BEG ME

"What's going on here?" Mathias' hoarse voice requested when he flung the door open reviewing Angie and Freya laughing heartily at their conversations.

The two ladies kept mute immediately after he raised the question while they watched him enter, closing the door behind him. He stood watching them with suspicious eyes. Angie rested her body against the slab while Freya was standing beside the window. Angie was telling Freya about how Mathias used to behave the years back. She was talking about their first kiss at the club and Mathias heard all that she had said then Freya had to laugh hysterically at it. How could Angie have shared such a secret between them?

"I can see you well now, have fun," Mathias stated and turned to leave but Angie stopped him.

"Leave please," Angie begged Freya who with pleasure stood up and headed out not after Mathias stared dangerously at her making him wonder why he had brought her from the club. If she hadn't seen his face the other day, maybe he could have sent her back to where she belonged.

Angie leaps on her feet to sit on the bed. Although the pain was already lessening, she decided to make Mathias guilty for leaving her.

"I went back to Brooklyn." He uttered and veered back to her. Angie didn't say anything and he continued, "I couldn't wake you up before I left, I'm sorry." He begged and she looked up at him since that was what she wanted.

She finally spoke, "You promised not to hurt me again, Maths. But what did you do the other night, caring?" She asked with a blank expression on her face.

Mathias got to her and stood in front of her. He held her face by her cheeks and placed her head on his chest since he was standing and she was sitting. "Does it still hurt?" He implored and she nodded her head against his chest. "It won't happen again."

"Said it the hundredth time. I bet it won't happen again." She mumbled and wrapped his hands around his waist. "It seems you like going from Brooklyn to Orleans. What's your secret?"

"Trying to get my dad outta jail." He answered and Angie drew herself away from him. She had almost forgotten that his dad was in jail.

She used her hands to push her falling front hair to the back. "I'm pathetic." She stated.

"Why?" He asked, furrowing his eyebrows at him.

"I have almost forgotten about your dad." She muttered, sat comfortably and crossed her legs on the bed. "Can I visit him someday?"

"Angie, you_"

"Please." She pleaded.

"We'll talk about that later. I'm still thinking about the punishment you will receive for telling Freya things about our past."

"She said you wanted to sleep with her," Angie said calmly while Mathias opened his mouth wide, unable to utter a word. "What? Cat got your tongue?"

He stood up and made his way to the door, opened it and went out striding down the stairs while Angie ran after him beckoning him to stop. He didn't, instead, he shouted back at her not to follow down the steps because she might feel more pain.

Thankfully, Freya was down in the living room and Angie was able to watch from the aisle what Matthias was up to. In her heart, she prayed he wouldn't do something bizarre.

Matthias got to Harley and pulled her by her hands up from the couch she was sitting on. She removed the headphone immediately from her ear and glared at Matthias with anxiety as his hand tightened hard on her hand. "You're getting back right now!"

"Then the whole world gets to know about you!" She threatened and tried to pull her hands away from his grip, instead, the grip was fastened.

"Is that a threat?" Mathias asked with fury, his eyes starting to turn red from anger.

"What I said was the truth!" Freya snapped at him. She was starting to get angry seeing he was reacting like he didn't want to sleep with her on that night.

Mathias finally released the grasp, "Harley!" He shrieked.

Within some seconds Harley was pushing the castle entrance door open to get it.

"Lock her in and don't let her out without my permission!" He proclaimed.

"No!" Angie's tiny voice screeched into their ears and they all looked up to see her strolling down the steps toward them.

"Don't get down, you are hurt," Mathias warned but Angie ignored his words as she took slight steps. The stairs were long so it took her a couple of seconds to reach them.

"You're the one who's supposed to be locked up, Matthias. She's innocent." Angela commemorated earning a stern stare from Mathias. She went to him and to his astonishment, she raised her head and began to kiss him, winning a gasp from the other two ladies present.

When she was satisfied, she pulled away from him, curving the most devious smile at him. "That's a bribe, please, don't lock her up."

However, Mathias didn't love to go back at his word. He didn't want to see those under him think he was a dork while commanding them.

He removed his stare from Angie back to Freya, then to Harley, "Send her to the first tower and let her learn the spy skills. I need her to do some tasks for me." He instructed and Harley did as told, pulling Freya who tried battling with Harley but all went in vain since Harley was stronger, stronger than Mathias himself.

"Where is the first tower?" Angie appealed.

"I told you not to get down. You just wouldn't listen to me, would you?"

"Answer my question first."

Mathias scoffed and walked past her, "A place she can't misbehave."

"Where?" She asked still not getting what he meant or where Freya was sent to.

"I'll show it to you when we are passing through it again." He promised, climbing up the stairs.

"Are you going to leave me like this?"

"You know your way up, you came down yourself."

Angie baffled her eyes at his words. Was he punishing her? How did he expect her to return to the room when she was in agony?

"Beg me," Mathias said. He was already standing in the middle of the stairs, his back bracing her.

"To hell with you, Maths! I'll do my own thing on my own." She fired and scrambled to the stairs while giggles erupt throughout the castle. Angie used her hands to clasp the silver steel used to frame the stairs and cringed.
