Thomas opened the gate to his brothers cave.
No one knows the reason but Duke has always called his house a cave.
Maybe because it was built with a small entrance for passage inside a garden.
But after going through the little entrance, you get to the main gate.
The main gate was heavily fenced and well secured. Bodyguards surrounding every nook and cranny.
Thomas shaked his head as he walked through the little passage to the main gate.
He remembered the job his master, Xyle has assigned to him.
"Go to your brother." Xyle has commanded. "I need a recording pen install in his room."
"Master, but you do know I get searched at his place, I won't be allowed to enter holding anything with me." Thomas complained.
"Listen." Xyle warned and continued. "I'll be offering you a recording pen not a recording tape, so all you have to do is make use of your senses." "When you arrive there, avoid the guards at the main gate. Then, sneak out to the back of the mansion, there I hope you know what to do next."
"Master, this isn't easy for me. My brother is gonna chop off my head as soon as I am caught." Thomas relayed, fearfully.
"All you have to do is let no one noticed your presence when going around the mansion." Xyle warned again.
"Don't you think that side particularly could be guided with CCTV footage?" Thomas asked, already getting nervous.
"There is, but it is a very simple task for you to do, just avoid it."
"Geez..." Thomas uttered trying all his best to view how things was going to work out for him.
Carefully, he popped his head out of the little passage, getting a view of the large gate in front of him. As usual, the gate was heavily guided.
"Oh no!" he thought. "This can't be happening to me. Master this isn't what I asked you for."
He watched as the guard stood without moving an inch, maintaining a straight face.
Just then, he heard then alarm he wasn't sure would have rang at that moment.
The alarm indicate the guards replacing each other at their position. The other ones who has been there for close to 12 hours will then go back to their various houses waiting for another 12 hours to get back to work. Their shifting was 12 hours daily.
The hour time they have to shift wasn't constant. So, Thomas had thought he might not arrive there at their shifting time.
He maintained his balance and watched the ones taking over start matching to their position.
As soon as it was time for the front gate to exchange position, he stride out, dragging himself through the fence to avoid being noticed.
It was when he got to the other side of the mansion he heaved a sign of relief.
He looked around for the CCTV cameras, making sure he was caught.
The cameras was placed above the wall he was resting on and they couldn't have caught him there.
All that was left for him, was the particular place his pen will land on without any guards noticing it as he planned to throw it across the fence.
He had no idea where the guards position were since the e mansion was too big.
Thankfully for him, as he was striding through the wall, avoiding the cameras, he sighted a small hole pounce in the wall.
The hole was small but he could mange to fix his eyes to it and look through into the mansion.
Checking around the mansion with one eyes, he noticed there weren't much guards around there.
Immediate, he took the pen out from his shirt pocket and slightly through it into the mansion.
"Done!" he exclaimed, softly finding his way back to the main gate.

"Why are you here?" Duke asked his younger brother after showing up without notice.
"You asked me to come, can't you remember?" Thomas asked walking around his brothers room.
"I asked you to come, yes but that was long ago when you decided to listen to a mere man instructions." Duke replied, aggressively.
"But now I've decided to listen to you." Thomas said and laughed.
"Did you so called master betrayed you?"
"Something like that, he was giving me a task I could lose my head for." Thomas answered with all seriousness.
Duke stared at him for a while and muttered, "I hope you've learnt your lessons."
"I do hope so, but you know, I'm a stubborn boy. I so much love my master."
Duke looked up at him.
"He just said his master betrayed him and what else is he saying now?" Duke thought.
"If so, then why are you here?" Duke asked patiently.
"Just needed to know why you asked me to come home the other time." Thomas answered and took his seat beside his brother.
"The time I needed you is past now. I don't need you any longer." Duke relayed.
"Do you mean it?" Thomas asked.
"Yes, I mean it. I'll just find someone to replace you."
"Of course you can replace me but remember I'm one of the instrument you don't want to lose." Thomas said with pride.
"Yes I know and that is why I don't need you anymore. You've got lot of skills, that I'm afraid you might use against me."
Thomas laughed.
"So you prefer to trust a stranger to me?" Thomas asked still laughing.
Duke didn't utter a word as he stood up and left the room.
"My brother is afraid of me." Thomas whispered to the recording pen and laughed again.
He then, remembered he needed to relay a message to Kendy which his boss has sent him.
He gaze around his brother room looking for the perfect place to place the recording pen so it won't be discovered.
He sighted the the flower bucket placed beside the window and moved to it
He gently raised the flower up and dip the pen mouth down into the soil leaving only the head visible.
Satisfied with what he did, he hurried out to look for Kendy.
He finally found her at the balcony of the second floor after asking and searching all around for her.
"Kendy?" he called and she turned to him.
"Thomas?!" she called back, happily.
"Looking good as always." he complimented and walked to where she was sitting.
"Don't tease me, you know how worried I am for having not seen you for some while." she complained and offered him a seat.
"My apologies."
