Alec woke up and saw that his mom hadn't been up yet. He walked outside looking for her. When he found her she was sitting in the field with the scarecrows.
"You know alec, you remind me a lot of your grandfather."
"What does that mean mom? How do I remind you of him?"
"Your stubbornness, it's just like his. He always had a way with convincing people."
"Did he have powers mom?"
"No, he was one of the last hundred born without."
"Can you tell me more about our family?"
"Maybe one day, alec, maybe one day. But, for now we finish your training for the weekend."

Alec woke up, laying in the field. He looked around for Gracie, but she was nowhere he could see. He tried to get up but his legs failed him, his knees buckling.
"Mom? Mom where are you?"
He couldn't remember what happened just his mom telling him what he was going to do next and then her screaming a few moments after.
He tried to stand again and succeeded, he slowly walked towards the camper, when he got there the place was trashed. Drawers ripped open, stuff all over the floor. It looked like someone was looking for something. They either found it or they didn't.
He walked around the outside of the camper and noticed tracks that belonged to a vehicle that didnt look like the tracks that the camper left. But being a kid who hasn't been outside ever, he didnt know how to follow them. He just stared hoping his mother would pop around the corner and help him with his wounds.
