Ellis's eyebrow's quivered as she felt an uncomfortable pressure on her stomach. Then, as she tried to take a different position, Ruth's voice suddenly blared inside her head like an alarm.
"Ian! Ian! This is an emergency!" Ruth yelled, causing Ellia to clutch her head in slight pain.
'Don't yell like that!' Ellia yelled back. 'It feels weird!'
"Never mind that! Something bad is happening right now! If we don't do something, the Empire will perish!"
"The Empire will perish?!" Ellia shouted out loud, and she sat upright on her bed.
"Ughhh… big sis…." Aerie murmured as she clutched onto Ellia.
'What's she doing in my bed… never mind that! Continue what you were saying right now!'
"There's an abandoned nuclear power plant in the east, but it's active right now for some reason! And that's not the worst part! The worst part is that the power plant is in critical conditions and is about to meltdown!"
'W-wait, how do you know all of this?!'
"I could sense the radioactive particulars in the air," Ellia explained. "If I had been paying attention a bit more, then I would have found out about it sooner."
'No, you did well. Now I'll have to tell the huger ups….' Ellia thought.
"W-wait… you're going to tell your higher-ups?" Ruth asked.
'Well, yes. It's the most logical choice right now! Do you expect me to go there all by myself?!'
"Ian… you realize you're going to have to explain how you got such information, right?"
'Well, yes, I'll tell them about you.'
As Ruth listened to Ellis's words, she soon sighed. "The Empire isn't supposed to know about me. It's a big secret."
'Huh… why I thought it was normal….'
"Ian… although we had progressed through technology at terrifying speeds. The thought of an A.I as intelligent as me isn't normal."
'What…? Wait, so...'
"Yea… my professor did a good job programming me, and the time I was given to grow by myself was a lot."
'I don't think this is the time to act all prideful.'
"I'm not acting prideful just don't be surprised when you find a bunch of Imperial scientists trying to pry your head open!" Ruth shouted.
'Then can't we send them the message as an anonymous? They don't have to know who we are.'
"No, it's not going to work... I don't think they'll believe it, and even if they did, they wouldn't have time to send anybody." Ruth spoke with a sigh.
'Then how the hell are we supposed to stop this?!'
"What if I told you we can stop this by ourselves."
'Still, no, we can't go until we know reinforcements are coming.' Ellia said with a firm look.
"Ian, this isn't like the past. You can handle this single handily. Especially if the Resistance Army is the behind this."
'The Resistance Army?' Ellia asked with a doubtful look. 'Those bastards are still a thing?'
The Resistance Army was a large group of people working against the Imperial Army. Large enough for them to be considered a major army.
The only thing that made them a threat to the Empire was their insanely large numbers.
That was their only advantage. After that, it was just utter chaos—a lack of weapons, food, and leadership. Hiding in different underground countries and even in the Empire. However, the Empire knew about such things; they couldn't do anything but slowly pick them off.
It was a complete surprise to Ellia that they would still last till now.
'But how do you know it's them?' Ellia asked.
"Who else do you think is brave enough to take control of a nuclear power plant in the Empire's territory?"
Hearing Ruth's words, Ellia finally nodded.
'Fine, let's get going but send an unknown message to the Imperial National Defense Agency about the situation.'
"Alright, I'll make sure the message is untraceable," Ruth spoke in a confident tone.
Ellia then got up from her bed, tucked Aerie under the sheets, and looked around.
Everyone was sound asleep, making it easier for Ellia to sneak out of the room with one of her briefcases.
"It'll take some time for them to notice what I was saying was true, so we have to hurry," Ruth spoke as Ellia speed-walked down the hallway. Because it was so late into the night, there were practically no students in the hallway.
'Wait… I just noticed, but us students aren't able to leave Everwhite, right?' Ellia asked as she stopped.
"It shouldn't be hard for you to sneak out, though…."
'You want me to sneak out?'
"Yes, that's the only option, right?"
'It is…'
…
Avoiding the camera's line of sight, Ellia sneaked inside Everwhite's parking garage and started the electric engine on a random motorcycle.
Then, changing her hairstyle and uniform to a higher grade, Ellia looked completely different.
She strapped the briefcase to the backseat. Then swinging her legs over the vehicle, she drove off towards the main exit.
Reaching the main checkpoint, a guard raised his hand and stopped Ellia from going further.
"Your I.D, please." He asked.
Ellia then patted herself down until she came up with nothing. "...I might have forgotten it," Ellia said apologetic look. "Let me contact my superiors…. I'll make sure it's fast."
"You're good." The guard said. "You can go."
Ellia looked at the man with a perplexed expression.
"I can call them if you want…." Ellia insisted but soon stopped.
The guard just gave her a look to go. It seemed that incidents like these frequently.
Ellia then nodded as she drove off.
"What the hell was that? There was no way he let you off just like that." Ruth spoke with disbelief.
"It's like a routine for them, you know. Now and then, it doesn't matter; they don't want to meddle with the higher-ups." Ellia chuckled.
Either way, this was going well for Ellia and Ruth. Now all they had to do was reach their location.
Meanwhile in, the INDA (Imperial National Defense Agency)
"Sir, we received a code red message from an unknown." A man said as he clicked away on the keyboard.
"By an unknown?" The commanding officer asked as he leaned over the man's shoulder. "Is it traceable?"
"Negative, I tried, and it seems like unknown is quite skilled."
"Then tell me what it says."
"It's talking about some abandoned power plant in the east and the Resistance Army."
'Abandoned power plant in the east…?' The commanding officer mumbled to himself. 'Isn't that where we sent the new special task force created by Everwhite?'
"Disregard the message. We already deployed Imperial soldiers there to deal with the threat."
