Eve and I were about to leave when Caleb held my hand, kneeling in front of me. His hands were trembling, and I could see the tears in his eyes.
"Help me. Help us," he said. "I know. I used to be proud. I never dared question, my father, why he left Jinn's team. I was young and in love because I thought Sonia did love me even though I noticed the hole in our relationship. Please, help my team and me. All of us are victims of Jinn. I knew he was immortal and could kill us if he wanted. We are weak compared to him."
I took a deep breath. This is what I want.
"I'll be giving you a gift to match those vampires. But if you ever meet Sonia in our war, if you can't kill her, I will do it in front of you." I told him. "I will bring Jinn tomorrow, and we will meet here again."
Caleb wiped his tears and nodded at me.
