For a second, Bree thought that she saw a black eye; the orbs and ball of Stacey's eyes were black. It reminded her of someone that has long been dead.
"Can I?" Stacey asked Bree with puppy eyes but the woman.
Bree cleared her throat, and when she looked again at Stacey, she met her with blue eyes.
Did she imagine it? She chose to ignore it and talk to Stacey.
"Since when did you get interested in Black Luna?" Bree asked her curiously.
"Oh well, I thought I would be able to learn about her since my parents won't talk about her to me," Stacey lied to her.
"M'kay," Breed said before giving her a notebook to sign. "I'll get it. Make sure to write your name, the date you borrowed the book, and when you will return it. That book is off limits, but since you're the chief's daughter and you wanted to learn about her, I'll let you borrow it," she said before turning her back on Stacey and proceeding to the restricted room.
