ALPHA KALISTA DRACONIS' POV
It is another day in my pack, and I feel really tired. As I open my eyes, my whole head begins to ache; gosh, I hate it when this happens! I shut my eyes for a while before opening them, and I feel better almost immediately. It is a trick I have learnt over the years, it has helped me deal with my migraines.
I sit up in bed, searching for my phone, and I dial Kiara's number. It rings out, and she does not pick up. This is really strange to me because Kiara picks up the phone at every point in time.
What is up with her today?
I sigh softly, and I conclude that she is probably sleeping, so I do not make a huge deal of it. As I step out of bed, I stare at my wall-clock, and I realize that it is almost seven in the morning. Kiara should definitely be awake by now.
Maybe she is busy.
