Aryana checked the time. It was already 2:00 am but Erik was not yet home. She kept tossing on the bed. Sleep evaded her. It was her first night in their abode but her man was not around. Aryana smiled bitterly. She got up from the big bed and went to the kitchen to heat a glass of milk. They said that warm milk can induce sleep.
She sat by the couch in the living room and reminisced the moments she shared with Erik the day before. At least he spent his entire day and night with her yesterday. It should be enough. She should not yearn for more.
She closed her eyes for a moment. She suddenly felt a chilling presence in the room. When she opened her eyes, she saw Erik standing tall and looking down at her, his eyes were cold and merciless. His voice was even colder when he said "Let's divorce!"
Aryana was dumbfounded.
"Why?" She asked nervously.
"The woman I love is back." He said expressionlessly and turned around to leave.
