The nurse asked Erik to leave the room so they could start preparing Aryana before they could transfer her to the delivery room when the time was right.
Erik glared at the nurse. "I would like to stay with my wife during her labor."
The nurse glanced at the resident doctor and she nodded. The nurse handed Erik a set of clothing sealed in plastic and instructed him to put them on. Erik accepted the package and went to the changing area to change.
He put on the lab gown and the cap. He noted that there was a pair of shoe covers made from thin cloth and he put it on.
By the time he went out of the changing room and went to the triage area, Aryana had also changed into the hospital lab gown and her OB had arrived.
