"How did you push Kakashi out of the way," the Hokage asked with an inquisitive look.
Ashura paused as he heard this line of questioning. For the first time since arriving in this world he was debating on whether he should lie or not. He had spent a little over a decade in his past life lying to protect his identity.
He didn't like lying to everyone he cared about everyday, and he didn't want to continue to do so in this life.
Hell, it's not like anybody's going to dissect him if they found out about his spider sense right?'
(Little did Ashura know that somewhere in Konoha a pale man with snake-like features let out a sneeze.)
While the young blonde was pondering, the weathered face of Hiruzen remained calm and unbothered as he waited for the child to collect his thoughts.
Both Kiyoshi and Hana were looking at their son with intrigue, as well as Kakashi who was trying his best to downplay his curiosity.
Ashura found himself at a moral crossroads.
He's already been down this road before and was wary of walking it again. He knew that If he lied now he'd have to keep lying.
One small lie would multiply, and then turn into many more lies, which would then morph into one Colossus sized lie.
He wanted to tell the truth this time but a gut feeling told him he should fudge it.
And a Parker always trusts their gut....
Unless of course it's after eating Aunt May's meatloaf.
Then you should wait at least six to eight hours before making any gut decisions but that's neither here nor there.
With his mind finally made up Ashura spoke.
"When we were leaving the target range I suddenly got a feeling that I wasn't safe. Even though both Sakumo-Sensei and My father were with us, something was making the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.
"That's why you were acting so jumpy." Kakashi said as realization dawned on him.
Ashura nodded in confirmation and continued.
"Then when Kakashi was about to step on the tag it was like...everything had slowed down, and I could see everything in my surroundings more clearly." Ashura recalled, while trying to recapture the feeling of the first time his spider sense activated.
While listening to Ashura speak Hiruzen's face went from harmless curiosity to one of professional interest as he had a growing suspicion forming in his mind.
"That still doesn't explain why you pushed him out of the way…you haven't seen an exploding tag before today correct? So how would you know that they're dangerous?" The Hokage inquired, trying to glean a little more information.
"Well it is true that I didn't know it'd be dangerous but before I could figure out what was happening my body was already in motion." Ashura replied, looking into the Kage's eyes.
"Hmmmm…if I'm to be honest it sounds to me like you have impeccable instincts that put even the Inuzuka to shame." He said while stroking his beard.
He then looked at Kiyoshi and Hana.
"I think your son may possess a Kekkei Genkai of some sort relating to danger sensing.
At a later date when he recovers, with your permission of course, I would like to test him." The old man said, his interest in Ashira completely peaked.
"Of course Hokage-Sama." Kiyoshi and Hana replied.
Hiruzen then looked over to Kakashi and started to move over to his bed to talk.
"How are you doing Kakashi?" Hiruzen asked with a grandfatherly smile.
"I-I'm doing fine Hokage-Sama." Kakashi uttered.
Their voices faded into the background as Ashura stopped listening to the conversation.
It seemed as if the Hokage bought his half truth so that's good. However, what is a Kekkei Genkai? Why is that something that the Hokage himself would have to test him for?
His thoughts were interrupted when his mother spoke his name.
"Ashura." She said sweetly for the second time.
"Yes?"
"I'm very proud of you." She said, stroking his hair and putting a strand behind his ear.
"But I never want to see you hurt again,'' she said with an ominous dark aura starting to surround her.
Please, mom I'm not even that hur-
why is your hair floating? Dad why is her hair float-
POOF
He looked to his left and was shocked to see that his dad had disappeared in a cloud of smoke.
"Hokage-Sama a little help..
What the hell, where did he go?!
"Kakashi."
He looked over to see Kakashi sleeping in his bed, but if you looked closely you could see him peeking one eye open every so often.
"Hey! Don't pretend to sleep at a time like this Scarecrow boy!
"He-
"Ashura no one's going to save you from a mothers love now accept what is coming to you,'' she said sweetly with a smile that at the moment didn't seem all that angelic.
Are her eyes glowing?!?
I'm gonna die!!
Again!

-Nextday
Back at their family residence Ashura was in the courtyard with his father and Kakashi.
Sakumo wasn't able to join them today because he had left for a mission earlier that morning, so Kiyoshi was taking over training today.
"Now that you've both unlocked your Chakras, I'm going to show you how to improve your chakra control." Kiyoshi spoke to his two students.
"The way this is done is through an exercise called the leaf exercise, where you take the leaf and using Chakra you want to get it to stick to your forehead." As he said this he gave them both a leaf.
They both started immediately and within five minutes they got it to stick.
Smiling at this Kiyoshi handed them more leaves.
"At this rate we are going to be mistaken for foliage," Kakashi said with a scoff as he gestured to his head that was covered in leaves.
"Foliage is your friend," Ashura laughed as he added another leaf to the pile.
