"Look out!!" Ashura screamed, as he tackled Kakashi out of the way and pulled them both behind a tree.
"BOOOOOMMM!!"
An explosion rocked the area where the boys were just standing.
"Kakashi!!!"
"Ashura!!!"
Their fathers were beside the boys in an instant.
They both had weapons drawn and were in combat stances, full attention on their surroundings.
Ashura's head was ringing and his vision was unfocused, while Kakashi was unconscious.
'What the hell was that!!' Ashura thought, looking over to Kakashi to see that although he was unconscious, he was breathing. Ashura tried to stand up, however Kiyoshi stopped him with a hand on his shoulder. He mouthed something that Ashura couldn't hear with the ringing in his ears, but it was obvious he was still on edge, as he still had his kunai drawn.
"Sakumo! Any eyes on the enemy??" He said through his teeth. He was itching to kill whoever had harmed his son.
Sakumo vanished for a few minutes before landing in front of them once again.
"Kiyoshi, the training ground is clear." He said, while sheathing his blade.
He then went to Kakashi to check on his condition, praying he was okay.
"He's just unconscious but we should get them to the hospital now.
"Dad what's going on? Who attacked…." Ashura said through his closing eyelids. His body had been running on pure adrenaline desperately trying to stay awake to access the situation.
In his past life he had shrugged hard hits and explosions off, however, he was currently four years old in a body l
with no powers.
Well I guess you can add his spider sense back on the list.
"Ashura! Stay awake!! No no no! Stay awa….."
That was the last heard before unconsciousness claimed him.

-Konoha hospital.
"uhhhh….?" Ashura moaned as he slowly woke up from his involuntary slumber.
He looked around and quickly came to the conclusion that he was in a hospital room. He tried to sit up but hissed in pain. The pain was coming from his ribs.
'I guess I must have hit something when I dove behind the tree with Kakashi.'
"Hey, take it easy."
A voice interrupted.
He then looked over and noticed Kakashi staring at him without his mask. He looked like a mini Sakumo.
"Hey Kakashi. Are you feeling alright?" Ashura grimaced, still holding his ribs
"Yeah I'm okay, apparently I just hit my head on something when you tackled me out of the way." He said while rubbing the back of his head.
"Where's my dad?"
"Both of our dads went to inform the Hokage about what happened." Kakashi said, looking towards the floor.
"What did happen?" Ashura asked, still nursing his sore ribs.
"I don't know, but what I do know is that I would have died if you didn't push me out of the way." Kakashi said, looking up from the ground to meet his eyes.
"Thanks." Kakashi said, giving him a small smile.
"Anytime." Ashura responded, offering a smile as well.
Just then the door burst open.
"Ashura! Oh my baby, are you okay??" Hana cried, crossing the distance of his room in an instant to hug him
"I'm fine mom, just sore." Ashura smiled, happy to have his mother here.
Looking at the scene in front of him, there was a look of longing in Kakashi's eyes, before he looked away. Grabbing his mask from the bedside table he put it on while the mother and son were talking.
Knock Knock.
Kiyoshi entered the room and looked at his family with a relieved smile.
"How are you feeling son?"
"A little sore but I'll be alright."
Kiyoshi walked forward and put his hand on Ashura's head.
"Dad?"
"Yes son?"
"What happened?" Kiyoshi asked, dying to know what had almost killed him. (Pun intended)
"Well after we went to the hokage and reported the incident, we were sent back out to officially scout the training ground.
It turns out that it was just a stray explosive tag that was somehow missed in the clean up sweep. We are in the process of figuring out who was on duty, and they will be punished.
This caused Kakashi's eyes to narrow. "Why would an explosive tag be on a training field?" Kakashi asked, obviously more than a little annoyed at almost dying.
Well, Shinobi have to master all manner of weapons with exploding tags being one of the more common.
So it's not surprising to for one to be used, however it remaining there is a mistake
Clean up squads are tasked to sweep the forests and training grounds before a new team can take over. So the squad in charge of training ground seven missed it in their sweep.
"Will we learn how to use them as well?" Ashura asked.
When Sakumo and I think you both are ready, then yes." Kiyoshi said with finality.
Kakashi was satisfied when hearing this and laid back in his bed looking at the ceiling.
Wow this world gets more brutal by the day. Four years old and on my first day of training I almost got blown up by a rogue explosive. Must be the old Parker luck following me into the next life. Ashura though while physically deflating.
At least I've got my spider sense back, it's always been my ace in the hole.
Speaking of which, Kiyoshi looked at his son for a moment and recalled back to before the tag went off.
Ashura was acting strange before Kakashi triggered the note. Almost as if he knew something was wrong, and the way he pushed kakashi out of the way in time was too perfect.
Had he delayed they both would have died, and had he moved too early….
"Son, how did you know to push Kakashi out of the way?"
Kiyoshi asked, with a puzzled look.
Kakashi perked up at this as well.
"Yeah it was like one second you were behind me and then you were right next to me throwing me out of the way." He said, looking towards Ashura.
"We'll uh-
Knock Knock.
an old man dressed in a white and red haori with a matching hat entered the room after knocking.
"Hokage-Sama??
"Hello, I was just planning on paying young Kakashi and Ashura a visit, but I couldn't help but overhear your conversation.
He then looked at both Kakashi and Ashura and smiled, then moved his focus solely on Ashura.
"How did you know to push Kakashi out of the way?
