Jehiel stared out from his window on the second floor. Today was just like any other day in his suburban neighborhood. The neighbors were going on about their lives and went out to run errands as everyone did on weekends. He cracked open the window and felt a slight breeze blowing against his shirt.
Turning his head, Jehiel looked at his room and admired the space he now had to himself. His family had just moved in about a week ago since Jehiel's mother, Nadia had finished her schooling to become a hygenist.
The move was beneficial to everyone, it made it possible for Jehiel to take one, 15-minute bus and a 5-minute walk to get to work. His mother only needed a 10-minute drive to work, and his father only a 7-minute drive.
Jehiel made his way to the bathroom to freshen up and start his day. He grabbed his towel that was hanging from his chair and flung it over his shoulder. Pushing the light switch up, the bathroom was filled with soft light as he adjusted the brightness from the switch so his eyes adjusted easily.
After taking a shower, Jehiel put shorts on and dried his hair that almost reached his eyebrows. He looked in the mirror and ran his hand through his hair, trying to style it but to no avail, it didn't look the way he wanted it to. He raised his arms and flexed, firm muscles could be seen, along with his flat stomach that had a 4-pack when he flexed.
"Not bad, not bad at all!" Jehiel smirked at himself in the mirror.
BOOM BOOM BOOM
The loud pounding was heard from outside of his door.
"J! MOM TOLD ME TO GET RICE WITH YOU!" his sister yelled in an annoyed tone which sounded like she didn't want to go.
"Do you have to yell Mia!?" Jehiel responded and fast-walked to his door applying more pressure on his feet irritated at his sister's yelling.
"I thought you were asleep so I wanted to wake you up" Mia replied hastily.
"I guess today won't go as I planned" Jehiel sighed opening the door.
"KYAAA! P-Put a shirt on dude!! I-I can see your n-nipp" Mia covered her eyes not daring to finish the sentence.
"Psshh, get ready, we're leaving in 15" he scoffed walking behind her to go down the stairs holding his stomach as it started grumbling.
Mia stared at her brother's back as he made his way down the stairs, she entered her room and slammed the door behind her.
BAM
Jehiel moved swiftly down the stairs and made a gun out of his fingers as he reached the edge of the wall. He peeked his head around the corner and acted like he was a sneaky assassin or a hitman. He learned firearm handling and training back when he turned 21 because it was a requirement to work at the gun store in case anyone dared to rob a gun store.
He looked stupid moving from corner to corner while peeking at angles until he made his way over to the table. He then stopped acting like a hitman and finally acted normal. On the granite table, a piece of paper lay with a receipt. He took a glance at the paper as his eyes began to widen.
"Holy shit!" Jehiel said with his eyes wide open and mouth agape. He stared at the piece of paper for a couple of seconds and clenched his other fist in happiness.

His father had bought him a handgun, his first-ever handgun. Since he was 18, he had gotten his firearms license and was hooked on guns. Growing up as a child, he played with airsoft, shooting cans in his backyard with his dad.
His father has a hobby of hunting, and although it was not that serious, there were horns hung up around his office besides some small game like squirrels and rabbits.
Jehiel started to work at the gun store after he turned 21. He soon found out that he enjoyed his job and found a passion inside him while holding the cold steel in his hands. After the incident at school, Jehiel fell into a hole of depression. His dad took him to a session of firearm training and he began to feel confident in himself again after looming around his house for months.
Until this day, he trains with firearms and attends 2 training sessions a week, and is considered the best among his age group.
His first handgun was waiting for him at his workplace. Jehiel swiftly opened the fridge, popped the food into the microwave, and rushed to take it out. The food was still cold but his mind was focused on his soon-to-be baby waiting at the gun store. He devoured the egg-fried rice and quickly slipped his shoes and shirt on since he was still shirtless.
"Hurry up!" Jehiel exclaimed as he impatiently paced back and forth waiting for his sister to come down.
"SHUT UP! IT HASN'T EVEN BEEN 5 MINUTES YET!" Mia shouted from her room.
"Huuuuuuuuuhh..." Jehiel let out an impatient sigh.
He turned to look outside and saw that his dad left him the car to use since carrying 1,000 rounds of ammunition on the bus isn't very smart to do.
TAP TAP TAP
Light footsteps could be heard coming from the steps. Mia finally reached the bottom of the steps, dressed in denim skintight jeans and a pullover hoodie that had her school's logo on it. Jehiel and Mia glared at each other with annoyed looks on their faces. They soon exited the modern-looking house and walked towards the car.
As both of them got seated in the Prios, Mia put her earbuds on and blasted K-POP. They backed up out of the driveway not speaking a word to each other the whole drive to the gun store.
