As he walked back with the couple to the village, JL was interested to check his progress after the transformation.
'All that pain could have just been for nothing right?' He wondered to himself.
The three of the approached the village on a dirt and gravel road. It was around 5 minutes away from the river. JL still had shivers but they died down a bit after he was covered in the cloth.
Janine carried the basket of laundry over her head and her husband was walking right next to her.
'Let me check my stats real quick,' JL thought to himself.
'Stat Interface,' JL said not knowing if it would work if he just thought about it.
The stat panel showed up as well as the character interface. Everything JL wanted to know was shining right before his eyes on a transparent white screen with dark letters.

'I can see a few nice changes.' JL smiled as he read over the plus signs next to his stats.
'I grew taller? Is that even possible? I'm already 23 years old, I thought my growth spurt ended 5 years ago.' he scoffed inwardly, shocked at the 2 inches he grew.
JL smiled as the couple slowed down in front of a one-story, stone, and wood house. There were some flowers and weeds growing in a little garden at the front of their house, where a 3-foot stone wall surrounded the perimeter.
It was a humble house that had hay laying on top of the wooden roof for extra wind protection.
Renard turned to JL as he opened the gate, Janine had entered the gate and was at the front door.
"Our home isn't big enough to fit all of us, are you fine if you sleep in the back?"
"There's a shed that can fit one, it was just built so there's nothing inside." Renard said in a grumpy tone, he didn't really want him to stay there but he couldn't say no to his wife.
"There is more than enough room! We have a living room as well! This is not how we treat guests." Janine replied to her husband fiercely.
"O-Oh yeah haha... the living room." he chuckled nervously with sweatdrops forming on his forehead.
"Please, come in JL. There is a warm tub in the washroom, hopefully, my daughter filled it up." Janine said as she looked at him up and down since he was only covering the bottom half of his body.
Renard saw his wife eyeing the young man as he scoffed and closed the door with more than enough force needed.
THUD
The husband and wife glared at each other, both of them asking why their partner was so childish.
"Kai? Have you finished warming up the water?" Janine asked while removing her shoes.
"Almost mother!" a sweet voice replied.
JL looked around and saw one very simple couch in front of the fireplace.
He decided to keep standing and inched over to the fireplace since he was still half naked and cold.
His body temperature was now rising but was eager to enter the tub.
"It is ready now mother." A beautiful young woman with freckles and brown hair said as she exited the washroom.
Kai turned over to see JL as she quickly covered her eyes.
'Hehe, this is surely another world, she's totally my type…' JL thought as he quickly looked away once their eyes made contact.
"Go wash up and get dressed boy, we've got things to discuss after," Renard said in a demanding tone.
JL nodded respectfully to Renard as his wife scowled at him.
He was passing the washroom door and stopped a few steps before passing Kai.
"Thank you very much for preparing the wash for me," he looked at Kai and nodded deeply at her before entering.
"Y-Yes of course." Kai quickly nodded, she'd never seen another guy her age shirtless.

Kai's mother saw at the way her daughter acted after meeting JL.
"Ah, youth" she said out with a smirk towards Kai.
"Want to have a peek? You can use your magic. I give you permission." Janine said with a big smile.
"M-Mother!" Kai said crossing her arms and turning her face to the side.
Janine teased her daughter while Renard grit his teeth and headed to the door.
"Where are you going hon?" Janine asked as the laughing died down.
"Preparing to hunt, send the boy out once he's ready." Renard angrily replied.
'Let's see what you're made of boy.' Renard thought walking out the door.

Back in the washroom, JL had hung the piece of cloth on a hook behind the door.
The tub was steamy and looked big enough to fit 3 people in it. The water was only filled halfway, enough for a person to submerge themselves fully.
There was also a small yellow crystal hanging from the ceiling that emitted light.
JL dipped his foot in the steamy water and submerged his leg once he felt the warmth.
He quickly sat down in the tub and felt tingles around his body since he was previously cold.
"Ahh, this is it right here, I might as well go through my skills one more time." he said as he breathed out relaxed.

He scrolled through his interface and something caught his eye, a tab that said

As he saw the two names of the items stored, his eyes almost bulged out of his sockets.
"What? It can't be." he said softly as his hand hovered over the gun box.

A gun case that was almost identical to the one he had back on Earth appeared in his hand.
He placed it on a stool besides the tub and flipped the tabs open.
Opening the case, JL gasped as he saw his gun, everything had been exactly the way he left it.
The four magazines, his glock in the center, and the suppressor stuffed at the bottom.
"M-My baby!" JL said as he held his gun in his hands.
"I thought I lost you," running his fingers on the metal slide.
*Knock Knock*
JL turned his head to the door as a soft voice could be heard from the other side.
"I-Is everything okay in there?" Kai said as her ear was against the wooden door.
"Yes! Everything is perfect!" JL responded as he put the gun back in the case and closed it.
He quickly stepped out of the tub and dried himself off, some clothes were near the sink and he quickly put them on.
JL looked in the mirror and saw drastic changes to his appearance.
What surprised him the most was his eyes, the color of frost blue.
His muscles were much more defined due to the Hephaestus skill, he needed muscles to work the forge and was blessed with them after the transformation.
He flexed his muscles as the light tunic complimented them, his figure was that of an athlete.
He styled his hair and finally opened the door.
"Where should I put these?" he asked while holding the cloth and towel.
"Inside the basket, just toss them over there." Janine said pointing at a basket next to the tub.
After throwing the clothes inside the bin, Janine asked him to meet with Renard outside.
Leaving the house JL walked around the village looking for Renard. The villagers looked at him with curiosity since people knew everyone who lived there.
Finally, he spotted Renard talking to a group of men each wielding different weapons.
"What should I make him do?"
"His body shows that he can hunt, but I came to ask if any of you needed help with anything so we can put him to good use." Renard told the surrounding men.
"My daughter needs a husband." one of the older men stated.
"Hah! No one would ever marry your daughter Stander, with your genes she will forever be single!" another man laughed as he patted Stander's back.
The groups laughter continued until a handsome young man approached.
"Janine told me you were looking for me." JL said as he turned towards Renard.
Renard nodded as he looked the boy up and down once again after he freshened up.
"Renard, is the boy you were talking about." Stander asked with a smug look on his face.
'I could probably turn this bastard into a male prostitute and be rich!' Stander thought to himself.
"Yes it is, I was planning to go forage some wood with him since we're running low." Renard nodded to Stander.
"Let me take him out to hunt, we haven't had meat in days since that bastard of a king collects our meat for taxes." another slim man interrupted as he spat on the floor.
'That does sound like a good idea.' they thought as group of men nodded in acknowledgement.
"Weldon, take the boy hunting and don't come back until you've exhausted him." Renard winked at the slim man carrying a bow.
In the midst of conversations between the men, a new prompt appeared before JL's eyes.

JL's eyes glimmered in excitement.
'My first quest in another world! Might as well test out my baby while we're at it!' he smiled inwardly as he thought of testing out his gun.
"Pack your gear, boy." Weldon said with his arms crossed.
"Actually he doesn't have anything to use, I was thinking of asking you to borrow one of your bows." Renard said to Weldon scratching the back of his head with a light smile.
"Hmph." Weldon replied with arms still crossed.
Renard looked at JL and shrugged his shoulders not knowing what he should use to hunt.
"Don't worry, I have my own 'bow' of sorts." JL smirked.
The men turned towards JL with confused faces looking him up and down not seeing a weapon.
JL reached his arm out and called out 'Inventory' in his head then took out a case out of nowhere.
Everyone who watched JL take out the case from thin air had their eyes popping out and mouths agape.
"S-Spacial M-Magic!" Renard exclaimed as he wondered who JL truly was.
JL placed the case on the ground and opened it, revealing his gun.
He loaded a magazine inside and screwed on the silencer that had an engraving 'Obsidian' on it.
The men watched in amazement since no one in the village could use magic, and having someone that could use special magic was just as breathtaking to them.
"Let's hunt!" JL grinned while holding his gun.
'Time to level up.'
