Chapter 7 - Bloody

The rapid gunfire made Jason's body jitter uncontrollably for fear and the baby in his arms also started sobbing at that same moment, but Dolly Simple Parton was numb and did not turn to look outside the door of the van because she knew it was going to be bloody.

"Get the fuck out of the truck!" ranted another officer who was behind the one who opened the door. His authoritative voice made Jason move out of the van without hesitation, but the old woman was not so much in a hurry to leave because she had seen a lot worse than that. She followed behind Jason and knew he was afraid for the first time in like forever she had known him.

"This way damnit!" the soldier exclaimed again while pointing at the same spot where the dead bodies of the people they just killed were lying, demanding that they should both stand in the same place to be executed as the others.

"What the fuck are you trying to do!" Zod thundered on his way out of the DSM Leveda car that screeched upon arrival: which happened after they were about reloading their guns to kill Jason and the elderly, aged Dolly Simple…

"Sir, you authorized the killing of the rest of the people if they should arrive later than five o'clock every evening, so I thought these two should be killed without permission." Replied the ranked officer who earlier asked the soldiers on the line to fire.

"You are lucky you did not authorize the killing of these two. I would have subjected your entire family to long-time torture. Now release them and get that baby out of his hands!" Zod ranted with fury in his eyes while pointing at Jason. His veins were also visible and notably inflamed as one wishing to strangle Jason already.

Another car arrived the moment he was about to take down his hand with which he had used to point at Jason, and a lady dressed in a blue gown stepped out to meet him with an excitedly proud look on her face. She must be someone obviously close to him, Jason and Dolly thought within themselves as she reached forth to embrace Zod, saying, "O, baby, I have been about the entire place looking for you!"

"O, come on, you should have known I am very busy with work." Zod replied with a forceful smile on his face as he reached forth to embrace her. Jason looked at them angrily as she kissed Zod on his cheek, squinting her eyes at the same time.

"Bastard!" Jason rumbled the word within his chest quietly while having a soldier come forward to grab the baby from him. The baby began to cry the moment it left his hand and he wanted to struggle with the soldier, but he was no match for him.

"Let go!" scolded the soldier who came forward to take the baby out of his hands, and another voice screamed suddenly from the car the woman in a blue gown arrived with. "Mom, I want a baby sister!"

The woman in a blue gown turned to look at her daughter, who screamed as though she was going to cry. She turned around again in the direction of the crying baby after she had seen her little daughter pointing fingers at the baby from the window of the car. She had wind down.

"O come on, I just recalled that Lilly had been bothering me lately about having a little sister! Sweetheart, you know that I can't be a nursing mother again. I have to keep in shape because of my career. So can you please bring that baby for me?" Pleaded the woman who just kissed him and undoubtedly his wife. He never wanted to have that baby come any close to him and had intended to kill the baby once he was done with the call he was about to make before she showed up, but her sweet voice in his ears made him have a rethink and to spare the life of the baby.

"Okay, but I would love to have a DNA test to know how that baby relates with the little boy." He complained with a serious facial expression. She quickly placed her fingers on his angry-looking cheek and stretched them out a little bit, moving her hands randomly to shake his face, hoping to make him brighten up a little, while she said hastily, "anything for you, my handsome looking baby boo! Now tell that guy over there to bring the baby to me."

He turned around immediately and ordered the soldier who had the baby in his arms to bring it to him because of the harshness in his wife's voice when she pulled his cheek. He knew she was going to do as he had requested and so he handed over the baby to her.

"Here, take good care of the baby and know certainly that this is not my responsibility but yours." He rumbled to exclude himself from having anything to do with taking care of the baby financially, though he had the money. He knew she might start demanding more money in the name of taking care of the baby.

"Of course, it's my responsibility, fear not, honey!" she exclaimed while taking the child into her arms.

"And please, Tisha, make sure that child does not bear the family name." He forewarned.

"So, what name do you suppose that she bears?" She suddenly asked a couple of minutes after he said that, whilst she was about closing the door to the back seat of her car in which she sat.

"What name should she… hey, bastard! What is your name again?" Zod shouted at Jason as he turned around with a confused look on his face when Tisha, his wife, asked to know…

"His name is Jason, and he is not a bastard! Do well to remember the names of your enemies." Dolly sputtered angrily whilst they were taking them into another vehicle in handcuffs as if they had committed a crime. He ignored the old woman because he felt he was going to deal with her later, although when she said that, all the soldiers hanging around thought he was going to kill her instantly for speaking to him in that manner. He turned to his wife, saying, "You have your answer. Surname the baby by that name, Jason." Tisha closed the door after that and after asking the driver to move out, she turned to her little girl and asked,

"Lilly, here is your younger sister. Hope you like the baby?"

Lilly, however, did not reply because she had her eyes on Jason and kept looking pitifully at him through the window of the Ford she was in until her mother wound up the glass again.
