Most of the survivors here are people in three heads of age, they are still brimming with life and certainly don't want to die despite the setting having turned hellish like this. Unlike those who are older, they are leaning more toward asking mercy from God.
They rather die peacefully than keep on living in a world of survival like this.
Of course, they know their limitation as older people. Their reflex is way slower, and their thinking is nowhere near their young years. It's obvious that they won't survive, even using Chaos might not help them.
It's true that Chaos can strengthen the body to a superhuman level, but not so with the mind.
Although Pati himself if he was older will probably still try to live since if Zombies can have intelligence then there's probably a way to bypass the age of a person here, but that's just him.
