Thanatos
I watched God and Zeus bicker back and forth about what to do with Hades. God wanted to banish him to Hell. Lock him up in an obsidian cage. Feed him once a week so he can't abuse his powers.
Zeus convinced him it wasn't a good idea because of how many allies Hades has between the Underworld and Hell. He would escape in days and we would be back to square one.
"What if we put him in a paralyzed state?" I attempted to speak up between the two men, but I was ignore.
"What on Earth do you want to do then, God? You ruled out everything I've suggested." Zeus threw his arms up in defeat.
"I have no clue! We get ask Hypnos to put Hades into a paralyzed state?" God brushed his fingers through his beard.
"Exactly what I just said!" I screeched.
"Thanatos, the adults are speaking." Zeus waved a hand of dismissal at me.
"Zeus, Im 100 years older then you. That doesn't apply." I stood and forced myself into their conversation.
"As I see it, We have two options."I looked from God to Zeus and back to God.
"We can paralyze Hades, or we can fake Kore's Death." I shuttered at the idea. She would be in hiding for years, until Hades finds a new bride.
"No, Those are shit options." Zeus shook his head and crossed his arms.
"What if we trained her? To use her powers?" God spoke slowly.

Ivy
We had been silently waiting for God and Thanatos to return from their "special trip" for what seemed like hours.
I let out a yawn and pulled my knees to my chest.
"Tired?" Paimon's smooth voice filled the den.
"A little. I wonder when they'll be back." I looked up at the clock. They had been gone for almost 6 hours. Special trip my ass.
"Sleep, I'll wake you when they get here." Paimon nudged me with his warm shoulder.
I gave in sprawled out on the fluffy white sofa next to Paimon. He took my legs on his lap. Sleep came easily.
Hours later I heard fighting, I squeezed my eyes tightly, hoping it'd drown out the noise.
"You're fucking insane! He wants to marry her in a week, You realize that right?" Paimon sounded astonished by whatever they were talking about.
"She is smart and brave. Sh-"
"She is still a child! She hasn't even transitioned fully yet!" Paimon began yelling.
I felt warm hands lift my legs and sit them back down.
"Shes practically finished. She will be fine, Pai. We will have her back." Thanatos' lovely voice filled my ears.
What were they talking about though? Obviously something to do with me as Im the only one transitioning. Or maybe Im not?
I peaked an eye open, hoping to be subtle.
All eyes were on me though.
"Good Morning, Ivy." Thanatos smiled happily at me.
"Good Morning," I croaked and looked around the room.
Paimon gave me a warm smile but his arms were crossed and his knuckles were white.
"Kore," Another unfamiliar man greeted me.
"Hello," I sat up awkwardly.
"Ivy, this is Zeus." God scratched the back of his neck.
Zeus?
My dad, Zeus?
"Oh um, Hello." i gave a half wave and stood up next to Paimon.
He put his hand around my waist, pulling me into his warmth.
"I'm so sorry. I know this must be awkward or overwhelming. I didn't want to meet you like this." Zeus rambled on and on.
I put a hand up for him to stop.
"Its okay." I smiled and stepped towards him.
"You sure?" Zeus looked down at me, I often forget they're supposed to be ginormous.
"I'm sure. Im just happy I get to meet one of my parents." I said happily.
it was true. Even my fake parents had died when I was younger. It was nice and sort of comforting to know I had family out there.
Well besides Thanatos, although he wasn't blood related.
"May I hug you?" Zeus played with his fingers.
"Take it slowly, Zeus." Thanatos spoke softly.
"No, Its okay Than. You can hug me, Its probably long overdue anyway." I chuckled.
Zeus did as well and embraced me in a strong warm hug.
What seemed like centuries later, we let go and I returned to Paimon's side.
I don't know why but he felt like a safe haven to me. I knew nothing would happen as long as I was by his side.
"Ivy, We all need to speak to you."God motioned towards the sofas and we all took a seat.
"There's a war. Well, going to be a war." Thanatos sounded uncomfortable.
"We aren't telling you this to scare you but because you're the key to winning this." Zeus leaned forward and peered deep into my baby blue eyes.
"This is ridiculous." Paimon scoffed.
"Paimon shut your mouth or I will personally damn your ass back to hell." God glared at Paimon.
"Just his ass or what? Because that's like his best feature."Thanatos let out a nervous chuckle.
"Than,Be quiet, please." God gave a warm smile to his bony friend who nodded.
I didn't know how to comfort Paimon or myself for that matter, so i just intertwined our hands. He kept his gaze forward but squeezed my hand a few times in response to my gesture.
"It'll be okay." I said, my voice shaky.
With a deep breath I asked the question they were waiting for,"How am I the Key?"
"Your mother and I curse-"
"They blessed you," God corrected with a satanic glare, "with abilities that no God or Goddess, even myself, possesses. You will be able to take down Hades with ease."
"Maybe even Lucifer." Thanatos added.
My head snapped in Paimon's direction. His face had anger plastered all over it.
"Tell her the other part, you know the one about her potentially dying." Paimon poked at god.
Wait.
I could die from this?
I sucked in a sharp breath. I wasn't ready to die yet.
I squeezed Paimon's hand tighter.
I had a purpose now. A family.
"Deep breaths, Ivy. It'll be okay." Paimon was now in front of me, both hands on my knees.
"Im fine. Im fine," I lied.
"You wont die, I won't let you." Zeus smiled and took my hand in his.
"Zeus, you know the outcome." God spoke sternly. For an old bastard who was supposed to comfort people, he wasn't going a very good job.
"I know the outcome of her doing this alone. But ivy, Kratos, and myself? She could live."
