I just stood there starstrucked as I faced him. This was the real Anthony Williams. Like not the one you see through your phone screen or on television but the leaving and breathing Anthony. God! he was so beautiful. Those pictures I've seen of him obviously didn't do justice to his beauty at all. I didn't know when I hung up the phone.
"Aren't you getting in" he said with his husky voice as he raised a brow looking at me as if judging me.
"Yes yes" was all I could reply as I quickly got in. I stood in front of him with shaky legs. He was with three men who were probably his body guards. My biggest concern now was if he heard what I had just said. Even if he did, he wouldn't know I was talking about his friend right. But when I finally get together with Scott, he might tell Scott I wanted to hug another man shirtless and even if I explain to Scott he might not believe me and our relationship will come to an end all because Anthony was a busy body. All sorts of thoughts came flowing into my mind. I was probably being over dramatic right? He hasn't even said anything yet and I was already antagonising him as the cause of Scott and I breaking up, even though I wasn't dating Scott (not yet by the way). He probably didn't hear me. I kept saying in my head to convince myself. When the elevator got to the seventh floor I quickly dashed out. He followed behind and I panicked. I kept walking and I could feel his steps behind me. "Why was he following me, could it be he heard what I said and knows I was talking about Scott? No no, that's not possible unless he can read my mind. Or maybe he can". I kept having wierd thoughts in my head. I could still feel his steps behind me. Emily kept calling but I didn't dare to answer the call. "I should just ask him what's up" I said to myself. I stopped walking and turned directly to face him to ask why he was following me. To my surprise he just walked past me and gave me this kind of get out of the way kinda look. My eyes followed him until he entered into one of the stores and staffs came out to greet him. It turned out that store was one of his company's branches and he had personally come to check the place out as it was a new store. I was just overthinking again. I was relieved. Emily called again and this time I answered.
"Pick up your calls next time darling" she said in an inpatient tune.
"I'm sorry love, I was in a life and death situation" I said dramatically.
"I'm not even gonna ask what happened" she replied genuinely uninterested. I don't blame her though, because she's already used to my overreactions.
"But honestly, I was in a situation that...."
"Ok ok I feel you" she cut me off. "I'm in that new ICT store on the seventh floor, that's why I was calling" she said.
"What? Why?" I asked disturbed.
"What's with that tune, come here quickly" she commanded.
"I thought we were buying clothes? So what are you doing in an ICT store" I asked.
"Oh well, when I was waiting for you, I overheard some girls say that Anthony will be coming to the ICT store today so I went to check it out and guess what? He's here" she said happily squealing.
Oh no, I forgot Emily was a fan of all the triple gang members. She called them her three husbands and her favorite among them seems to change anytime she sees a new picture of any of them.
"Come quickly before the door is closed. Alot of girls are flocking here now to see the living Greek god. He's really handsome in real life...." She went on and on and on about how good looking Anthony was. Of course I could testify to that but I didn't want to see him again or rather I didn't want to be seen by him, it would be hella awkward. I headed to the store and on getting there I saw security driving people out. Girls to be precise. I tried to make my way inside but I was stopped by one of the security guards who held my hand firmly.
"What the hell" I exclaimed loudly because of the force he had used to grab my wrist.
"I'm sorry madam, but no one is allowed inside for now. Please come back later" he said firmly and attempted to drag me away
"Please wait, my friend is inside, I'm supposed to meet her inside" I said while trying to escape his firm grip.
"Please meet your friend outside" he said unbothered. I saw other girls being chased out by other security guards. It was probably Anthony who told them to do this.
"I just want to see my friend real quick inside" I kept on insisting. I should have just gone and called Emily later and probably wait for her somewhere. But I didn't like the fact that I was being chased out. I needed to go inside that store by all means. It wasn't because I wanted to see Anthony or meet up with Emily but because I wanted to piss off the security guard. When he kept on pulling my arm I pretended to have seizure and he immediately let me go. I fell on the ground and began convulsing and he backed off even more. He was probably confused and didn't know what to do at first. He later grabbed his walky talky thingy to alert other security guards to come to my supposed rescue. This was my chance. I immediately got up and headed to the entrance of the store. Immediately he saw this, he ran after me. I kept running and I noticed two other security guards had joined him. What was I doing? Why was I even doing this? Probably for the feeling of being rebellious. I kept running until I bumped into someone. I fell down immediately and my head began spinning. When I got myself, I was on top of the man I had bumped Into. Anthony. He just stared at me with wide eyes and I couldn't help but stare back. It was as if time was moving slowly. Before I could recollect myself, I was yanked up by the security guards. One of them helped Anthony up and adjusted his clothes. He was wearing a simple white shirt with grey pants, but from the looks of it, non of what he was wearing was simple as it screamed expensive.
"What's going on here" he asked shifting his Sharp gaze from me to the guards.
"We are sorry sir, we tried to get the fans away from the store but this stalker fan pretended to be epileptic and got past us" the guard who had held me at the entrance said.
Wait, who was he calling a stalker fan? I could probably be Scott's stalker fan but certainly not Anthony's.
"Excuse me but who are you calling a stalker. I told you I wanted to see my friend inside but you kept being unreasonable" I said in a defensive tune. All the while Anthony kept staring at me like I was some sicko fan. I didn't like this look at all.
"Look Mr Anthony, I didn't run in here to look for you. I don't even know you" I said facing him. He arched his brows at my words.
"You claim not to be here to see me or know me, but you call my name like we are familiar with one another" he said in a taunting tone. I didn't Know what to reply. Why did I call his name, I could have just said Mr, at Least it would look as if I didn't know him.
"It's just a misunderstanding" I said avoiding his gaze.
"Let me guess what happened" he said while smirking. "You knew I was coming so you came here purposely right?" He didn't wait for an answer before he continued. "You called your friend and told her about it and you even imagined hugging me shirtless right?" He said proudly.
"Hold up hold up, what??" I exclaimed. What was this guy thinking in his head. I thought I was imaginative but this guy was more imaginative than me obviously. "You have got the wrong idea sir" I said rubbing my head. It was embarrassing enough that he had heard what I said in front of the elevator and now he thinks I was talking about him and he even said that sort of thing in front of the guards who just stared at me like I was a real sicko stalker.
"I assure you that you misunderstood, I really was looking for my friend" I said trying to sound reasonable.
"I don't want to know who you came here looking for, but I don't like stalkers" he said but this time with a serious tune. "If you do something, be bold to admit it" he said looking at me intensely. "Remove her" he said authoritatively to the guards as he walked away without sparing me another glance. The guards carried out the command immediately as they grabbed my arms to pull me out.
This was not how I thought things were going to turn out. "this is a misunderstanding" I kept shouting out as he walked away. I was yanked outside of the store by the guards and they immediately walked away from me. That was sooooo embarrassing, probably the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to me. I was mistaken as a stalker fan and I probably won't be able to go to that store again. Luckily there were no persons in the store except the staffs, so not many people witnessed what had happened. Speaking of which, Emily was not in the store, so where was she. I grabbed my phone and saw several calls from her. I immediately called her back. Turns out she was driven from the store as well with the other customers. No wonder nobody believed me when I said I wanted to meet up my friend as no one was in the store except workers. I should have just respectfully left and called Emily later. I cursed at myself for trying to be rebellious. I don't think anything worse than this incident could possibly happen to me again. So much for my happy day.
