David's POV:
I know, I know that I was being a bad boy, who only cared about his profit… and the feelings of others didn't really matter to me.
And didn't that also describe the trait of Royalty I was born into?
If there was something that I had cared to remember, from amongst the myriad of teachings that had come pouring in since the starting point of my life, then it was the fact that everyone in this territory held a lower rank than me. After all, I was eventually going to be crowned as the King of this territory.
Hence I had learned that my wishes should be and definitely would be fulfilled on a priority basis.
But still, I knew my limits; I was not a monster, and again, there was one thing that I was very strict about- I do respect women.
Yes, I know that I was famous for not discriminating while bullying, but there was a code I had always been careful to not break.
I had never crossed the boundaries of privacy for a girl, and I had never raised my hand on any woman.
Yes, I wanted to scare Nora away or even better, reveal her reality to everyone. But for doing all of that, I had never forced myself physically on her… then how the hell could this jerk Ryan hurt her like that?
Especially when I had made it clear on the first day itself, that she was going to be the victim of my bullying only.
First, my plan was going in vain; and second, the fact that I had a fair idea of what Ryan was upto; and third, his actions towards her.
I don't know how, but somehow… these three acted as a very good fuel for the ignition for the hellfire that had been sleeping silently in my heart.
All I remembered was that I was capable of breaking the rules of the Royal dance! So I did.

The moment Nora was forced to change her partner for the dance, a sigh of relief was released from her mouth without warning. She did not want to hurt Ryan, thinking that he was probably hurting her by mistake.
But the moment she saw the face of her new dance partner and his hand gripped her by her waist while wrapping his other hand around her left hand, mistakenly touching the fresh scar that had appeared there because of Ryan.
A faint yelp jumped out of her mouth without her permission, and she noticed his eyes darkening after noticing the scar on her hand, and the pinched pink skin around it. Quickly removing his hand from that spot, he spoke, almost as a murmur that was probably only audible to her.
"Is this pain of yours, person- selective?"
"What do you mean?"
She replied with a questioning tone, not getting what he wanted to say.
"Did it start hurting just now, or was it hurting too when you were dancing with Ryan?"
"It was-"
"So it was hurting back then as well?"
"Um… yes -"
"Then why the hell were your lips sealed shut, like they had been stitched or glued together with the strongest adhesive till date?!"
This time David's voice was a little louder, as she could feel the fumes of anger coming out from his words. But it was still not audible to anyone at the dance, she was sure about this.
Still, it took her a moment before she could process what was going on.
First, she was not even able to recover from the fact that David had just broken the rule of Royal dance, and secondly, she was not sure about what he was trying to do.
Was he trying to show concern towards her, or was there something that he wanted from her, in order to punish or blame Ryan?
In this confusion, she didn't even realise when her mind decided to speak up.
"It was, but I didn't want to hurt Ryan, as he is not you… probably, he was not even aware about his grip around my wrist.
Or else, why would he purposely hurt me like-"
Her statement was left hanging in the middle as David pushed her away from him. Luckily, Louis and Robin grabbed her before she could fall, and he left the party without a single glance.

After witnessing this outburst from David, everyone and everything paused for a moment, including the music, as it was coincidentally also the time for the music to change.
Louis and Robin held her carefully and led her towards the ground, and then towards the exit, too. They were already looking for a reason to escape the party, and finally, David had given them a good one.
So after dropping Nora off at her palace and making sure that they both had applied ointment on her scars perfectly, they left her palace and headed towards Louis' car.
While Robin was going through the battle of plenty of questions wrestling in the arena of his mind, Louis spoke up.
"I know there are plenty of questions rising inside your mind, and I am ready to answer a few of them… but only if you are willing to come with me, to my palace."
Robin simply nodded in reply and hopped inside the car; and after ten minutes, they were standing within the lobby of Louis' palace, which was filled with four, thirty- liter topes of Alpha pudding.
And without any hesitation or warning, Louis just walked towards them and gestured for one of his servants to bring a bowl and spoon. After that, he climbed on the nearest slab in one swift motion, and started eating the pudding while talking casually.
"Hmm, nice! I think you should also taste this, after all, your brother had asked to put the best Alpha herbs and Alpha berries in the pudding -"
"David had asked?"
"Yes! If he was the one who organized the party, then I think he should be the one to order, shouldn't he?"
"Yes, but-"
"Oh! I never assumed you to be this naive, you haven't understood yet? I had exchanged the real Alpha pudding containing the Alpha berries, to a fake one which looks, smells and tastes like the original, but doesn't have any Alpha herb or berries to cause any reaction."
