:Present time:
"I gotta get back before sunrise".Hitoshi said while standing up.
"Oh,I need to get back too",Harris joined Hitoshi.
"William and Mathew,be cautious,I have a feeling that the Astras are going to attack again".Hitoshi warned them.
"Okay,I'll try to collect more intel about it",William said.
"See you then".Both of them bade their goodbyes before leaving.
Hitoshi came to the seventh dimension,Earth,through the huge mirror.It was pretty normal for for him.Having to travel from dimension to another.By the time he had came back,the Sun was starting to tint the sky with it's half orange and half red tone.
"Let's rest for a bit then I'll continue my daily boring life".He said while removing his armour.
Hitoshi never really had trouble going to his office.The garage was joined with his house,so he didn't had to outside.The windows of his car were made by a special type of black tinted glass bought from Luciana.Hitoshi drank a cup of coffee while looking at his sword collection.Coffee,chocolates and apples were the only things the vampires could consume from the seventh dimension.It had to be black coffee or dark chocolate made without any preservatives or milk.Hitoshi went to his office earlier than usual.
"Good morning,sir",the guard greeted Hitoshi as he entered the office building.
"Morning",he greeted back in a cold tone.
He started doing his works as usual.No changes.He thought back of the time when he was younger.Despite being non-humans,the four princes were exceptionally good at mathematics and in terms of memory.Two of them have an important mission going on at Earth,because of which they had to habituat themselves to the lifestyle of an Earth dweller.Coming to this world for the first time,getting enrolled into Havards for a so-called degree,learning the sword techniques from his mother's clan,he's life went on like that.He was the CIO of the largest business company of a country named Japan.Throughout his Earth journey,his only companion was Harris,he was the younger brother of William.They were brothers from different mothers,so their ruling area was divided.
He heard a knock in the door,"May I come in,Hitoshi san?",Mirai asked in a soft tone.She doesn't know why,but her voice always softened up while talking to Hitoshi.
"Yes,come in",Hitoshi said without looking Mirai.
"I am coming from the chief's cabin,he said that you have a scheduled siteseeing today",Mirai said.
"I know that,I saw the work plan yesterday",Hitoshi said while trying to figure out why did Mirai came to inform him this.
"And I'll be joining you",Mirai said the part that was still unknown to Hitoshi.
"Oh I see.Why though?",Hitoshi shifted his eyes from his desktop screen this time.
"You see,I have been handling this site and I have to see the area to measure how much land we'll need to buy",Mirai said with a clear voice.
"Oh ok,but you do know that I'll visit it after it gets dark,right?",Hitoshi informed Mirai.
"Of course I know that",Mirai huffed,"But I have no other choices,there were some wrong calculations on the budget report,I have to fix it and make another report on it".Mirai explained.
"Hand me over the report,I'll fix the calculations",Hitoshi said in a bored tone.
"What?Why?Wait really?",Mirai couldn't believe that the ever introverted Hitoshi was offering her such a big help.
"Why are so surprised?I can handle them,after all I am the one who collected the intel on budget",said Hitoshi.
"The calculations were previously done by Inui san",Mirai said.
"Doesn't matter,give me the papers",Hitoshi said shifting his eyes towards the screen again.
"You don't have to,just because I'm not good at maths and don't you have other works to do?",Mirai sort of huffed again,thinking that Hitoshi was trying to insult her.
"What?I was just offering my help and I can manage my work,they are almost done",Hitoshi said.He was a little surprised seeing this side of Mirai.She's usually calm and collected.
Mirai came out of the room,being embarrassed about how she just acted.
"Why did I talk like that?!He's the CIO and I talked to him like we are best buds,Mirai thought to herself while blushing unknowingly.She was standing infront of his cabin covering her face.
"Mira chan,what are you doing here?",Remi came out of no where.
Mirai jumped out at Remi's sudden appearence."N-nothing!I just came to inform Hitoshi that we have a siteseeing today",Mirai exclaimed.
"Okay and why are getting so worked up?",Remi asked worriedly.
"It's very hot in here,let's go back",Mirai said while calming herself down.
They back to their cubicle desk.Mirai was still embarrassed about her behavior."Are okay Mirai?Do you feel sick?",Kyo asked in a concerned tone.
"She has been acting weird since morning",Remi said to Kyo.
"I am completely fine,you guys,don't worry,I just need to finish up some important files",she tried to maintain her usual calm voice.
"Ok if you say so,but tell us if you need anything",Remi said while holding her hand.
"Yea",Kyo nodded.
Mirai went to Hitoshi to hand over the budget report."May I come in?"She humbly asked.
"Yes",Hitoshi replied.
"Here are the files and I am so sorry I acted so childishly in the morning",she said while looking down.
"It's fine,I don't mind.You were showing your true self,just be careful around the chief",Hitoshi advised.
"Thank you,I'll be taking my leave now",Mirai said while leaving.
"Why am I continuously talking to that human girl,I don't want to hurt the people here",he thought to himself.
Mirai was quite the whole time."How did he figure out?",Mirai said while sipping her favourite orange juice.
"You were showing you true self",those words made her smile.
"Why are smiling,Mirai?",Kyo asked while raising his eyebrows.
"Nothing,I just recalled something funny",Mirai lied.
She has never shown this childish side of her to anyone other than Kyo and Remi.She could always control herself,but today,it just felt ok to act like that infront of him.
Mirai was at her desk,while signaturing some files.She had to finish a bunch of works."Let's see,this file was handed over to us at 13th April...",she was drowned in her world,that she didn't notice it was already 4:50 in the evening."Oh I need to bring back the budget report file",she remembered.
Mirai went to Hitoshi's cabin to bring back the file."Are you done with the calculations Hitoshi san?".Mirai asked Hitoshi.
"Yes,here you go",Hitoshi gave her the file.
"Thank you very much,Hitoshi san,You saved up my time",Mirai warmly smiled.
"6:30...we'll be leaving at 6:30 by one of the office's car.We'll come to pick you up",Hitoshi said while looking at Mirai.
"Got it",she replied back.
Mirai rushed out after office was over."You two be careful on your way back.You guys know that I have siteseeing today right?I don't have much time left,see you later",she hurriedly said before leaving.
"Be careful on your way there",Remi said while waving at Mirai.
"See you tomorrow",Kyo said to Mirai.
With that she left the place."Don't you think she looks way too energetic than usual?",Remi asked with a smile.
"She sure does,I think she's the only one who can get this excited because of work.Anyways,want to grab a bite before going home?",Kyo offered with a smile.
"You bet I do!",Remi cheerfully nodded.The two them went back with that.
"Guess I'll put on some make-up today",Mirai said while looking herself at the bathroom mirror."All set and good to go",she checked herself at the mirror for the last time.The car should be here anytime now.Mirai patiently waited until she heard car horns outside her apartment."Oh,they are here".She happily came down.
"Good evening Hitoshi san",Mirai greeted Hitoshi as usual.
"Evening",he replied while looking at something out the car window.
"Excuse me how long will it take to reach the site from here?"Mirai asked the driver.
"It'll take about one and a half hour".The driver humbly replied back.
The whole ride was silent without some chitchats between Mirai and Hitoshi regarding work.They exactly arrived the spot after one and half hour.It was a charming place with mesmerizing view.
"This place is more beautiful than I thought it would be",Mirai said as a soft breeze welcomed them after coming out of the car.
"Are you sure you can take measurements now?",Hitoshi asked after noticing how dark it has gotten.
"I am wondering the same thing...they already took the measurement,I just have to check it",Mirai nervously chuckled.
"Give me the measuring tape...I'll help you",Hitoshi once again offered his help.
"What?Again?I can't do it alone though",Mirai thought to herself before agreeing.
"Can you stand there?I think the measurement will be more appropriate that way",Hitoshi advised Mirai, as she pretty much wasn't able to see anything.But,the full moon on the sky helping her.
"It seems like you have a pretty good sight,you can see so clearly at this dark",Mirai told Hitoshi as he could see like an infrared camera in dark places.
"Yea..I guess",Hitoshi replied."Of course I can,I grew up in the dark,it's in my blood",he thought to himself.
"Finally we are done~",Mirai said in relief."Thank you Hitoshi san".Mirai gave her infamous trademark smile which Hitoshi was starting to like.
"She looks just like her when she smiles",Hitoshi was emerged in thoughts until he heard some one calling out his name.
"Hitoshi san?Are you ok?",Mirai asked worriedly.
"I'm fine,I'll go check on some other things".Hitoshi said before leaving the place.
"I'll be waiting in the car".Mirai replied before turning around towards the car.
Hitoshi started heading towards a forest like place."I'm sure we are being followed by the Astra bandits,I need to make a move or they are going to attack us on our way back",Hitoshi thought while trying to figure out their number.
"Twenty of them...but why is there a vampire with them?",Hitoshi was confused at the presence of another vampire."I'm sure,the smell of a vampire other than mine is mixed in the air".
"Come out scaredy cats,how long are you going to hide yourselves?",Hitoshi said with a psychopathic expression."This can go bad..I don't have my sword with me right now and it's full moon so they have the opportunity to transform",Hitoshi thought before dodging an attack from behind.
"I have to use spells and martial arts",he tried to calm himself down".He needed to from a fighting strategy.
Thankfully he was able to take them down one by one.It was going according to his plan until two of them decided to transform.
"You blood sucking monsters killed our partners,now pay for it, you cursed creature!",one of the two transformed wolves yelled before attacking him.
The word "cursed" played right into Hitoshi's mind."So they are fighting for revenge...I wonder if the other's were attacked too".He thought before professionally placing a seal on them.
"Paralysis seal,active!",he said to himself to active the seal.
Hitoshi was taking too long to come back.Mirai got worried,so she decided to look for him."Hitoshi san?",she softly called out his name.She went into the forest without noticing.There was no sign of Hitoshi there."I wonder where he went?"She said to herself.
The twenty avengers were done taking care of,but Hitoshi was drained out of power."The other vampire is moving far away...I have to find him".He thought to himself.But,he was weak and tired.I need a refill.He sucked out the single drop of blood out of the two transformed werewolves,due to the paralysis seal,they couldn't move."Good,now I need to look for the other one".He thought before moving out.There was a mess in Hitoshi's face,blood splattered all upperlip area to his chin,his cheeks were completely tinted red.
Just at that time,he could hear someone calling out his name.He recognized the voice."Oh no..."he thought.But it was too late to hide.Mirai saw him like that.
"Hi-hitoshi san?"she tried to call him but she couldn't manage to.There stood a Hitoshi with a bloody mess on his face infront of her.His expression was an unusual one.He looked like a kid who stole ice cream from the fridge and made a mess with it and now his mom found out.In other words,he was showing puppy eyes.A soft breeze brushed his messy hair.The moon light made it more enchanting.She could see everything clearly this time.
"Beautiful...",that was the only word that left her mouth.Not hot or handsome,she found it beautiful.She knew it was unbelievable,yet she liked it.She didn't feel anything wrong to like it.It felt normal,it felt like he was showing his true self.
Hitoshi too was taken back by the sudden complement.They just stood there without saying anything.Mirai was starring him with widened eyes full of wonder.
"She's not scared...?"He was genuinely confused but didn't change his facial expression.
He felt the other vampire approaching them with the speed of light.The next second,Mirai was held captive in the arms of another creature.
"Mirai!!",Hitoshi yelled out her.Mirai couldn't process what was happening.
