Chapter 6 - Sword Selection Trial

In comfortable training clothing, a small girl was seen moving back and forth as she attacked a slender woman.

The woman was a snow leopard mink who had a slender build and the small and thin girl was a mouse mink that had turned four years old for a couple of months already.

Every time that the small girl would attack the woman, she switched between a variety of different attacks as they continued to spar but due to the difference in size and their physical differences, she was unable to land an attack each time but each time the small girl would call out her attacks as she used them.

"Head Smash!"

Occasionally Ash countered Pixel to let her adapt to a real combat situation but Pixel was able to respond in time and either avoid it or attempt to use one of her moves to turn the tides of the battle.

The overall difference between a grown up and child that had just started developing was huge but Pixel was able to learn and adapt a little at a time as she showed a little improvement and she was able to use her small body and her previous experience from her past life to avoid many attacks and keep herself from harm.

Although she was still young, she had started to train her body to be able to use her Metal or Iron type moves which had some similarities to Iron Body of the Six Powers while she also was able to use Quick Attack a little but the Extreme Speed and Double Team move which were still far out of her capabilities which both had similarities to Shave of the Six Powers while some other moves had some similarities to Finger Pistol.

The snow leopard mink that had bright green eyes and white long hair stopped her attacks as the small child had become tired and unable to continue. "I am impressed with your improvement in such a short time. Although there are still some flaws in the your basic fighting stances and movements, it is not that big of a problem but if you-gara~ want to really make yourself less predictable then you-teia~ should grow out of the habit of calling out your attacks as you-teia~ use them."

The small and thin body of the mouse mink had sat down and entered a comfortable position as she took some deep breathes. "I know mom.. you-kachu~ have been a big help to let me improve like this."

The mother used the typical speaking habits and occasionally added tiea~ to the end of some of her words while the daughter could not shake off her habit of saying what she had in her previous life so she had developed her own way of speaking like the other minks as she added chu~ or kachu~ to the end of some words while the males of her tribe added gara~ to their speaking habits.

Ash walked over and picked up her daughter and lovingly cuddled her close as they garchu'd before she carried her back into their home within the Meridian family grounds which had been prepared by the previous family head for them to live in. "We need to hurry and get you-teia~ bathed and ready before we head out. Remember that you must be on your best behaviour and choose wisely since this will affect your future."

"Un." Pixel obediently nodded as she had been preparing herself upon hearing about what she would be participating in and agreed with her mothers advice.

Unlike the other children, she had already been developing her own sense of how to survive and while she had been learning the basics of some things from her mother, she knew that her siblings probably had their own private tutors already assigned to them.

She quickly found herself standing by her mothers side within the main hall of the Meridian family where the other siblings were lined up with their mothers.

Her eyes quickly passed by her older sister and younger brother then on the twins and started considering their threat levels based on what she knew of human hierarchy and the family inheritance rights. 'Older sister could be considered as a threat if she can prove herself enough since she is the eldest child but if they wish for a male heir then they will skip over the two of us and go to the first born son while some may be considering backing the other son which has a twin sister who may become overshadowed by him in the future. However there is still the possibility of either of them inheriting if they can prove their abilities and have a strong backing, for now I must focus on myself and not ry to provoke them if I can. But…'

She could sense a sharp glare from her second brother who was the same cat type as his twin sister as they were of the Ocelot bloodline.

She quickly made a mental note to avoid him since he seemed to be quite annoying to deal with since there were often those within the lower ranks or born later within noble families that had inferiority complexes and took it out on those weaker and it seemed as if she had seemed weak enough due to her mouse bloodline that made her his target.

Her older sister was of the Tiger bloodline and had a proud and indifferent appearance as she did not spare others a single glance while the eldest male of the family was a Cougar bloodline which showed that both of them had excellent potential but the eldest male had a slightly more arrogant appearance while the remaining youngest sister which was the other twin had a more timid appearance unlike her brother who looked to be ambitious but feared the strong while preyed on the weak.

The old lynx stepped forward and waved his hand which prompted many people to enter the room one after another. "We shall begin! Children step forward and make your choice!"
